When I worked as a corrections officer in Texas at a max faculty, I was called in at 11 at night because the inmates were rioting. My daughter had just been born and I’d been up since 6 am, and I really didn’t want to go. I suited up and blasted this song as I was driving in, and it made me brave as fuck.
When I listened to it few years ago I started writing about private prison quotas affect on communities (especially Texas) and found someone to check my data and working outs. The inmates probably played it too man.
You'll take my life, but I'll take yours too You'll fire your musket, but I'll run you through So when you're waiting for the next attack You'd better stand, there's no turning back The bugle sounds, the charge begins But on this battlefield, no one wins The smell of acrid smoke and horses' breath As I plunge on into certain death, oh, oh The horse, he sweats with fear, we break to run The mighty roar of the Russian guns And as we race towards the human wall The screams of pain as my comrades fall We hurdle bodies that lay on the ground And the Russians fire another round We get so near, yet so far away We were meant to fight another day, oh, oh We get so close, near enough to fight When a Russian gets me in his sights He pulls the trigger and I feel the blow A burst of rounds take my horse below And as I lay there gazing at the sky My body's numb and my throat is dry And as I lay forgotten and alone Without a tear, I draw my parting groan, oh, oh
I re wrote this song back in 83... a little tune renamed ... THE STONER... You drink our beer and you smoke our pot.. you think it's cool but it's really not.. so when your waiting for the next bong hit.. you better pay cuz it's killer shit... the lighter sparks the hit begins.. in this party room everyone wins it reeks of pot smoke and incense we can't see cuz the smokes to.dense aaaarrrrgghfukaaarrrggghhfuk.. The bong it spills we fear it'll real when it falls .. the mighty roar of the breaking bing and.as.we race towards the melting wall. The screams of pain as the stoners fall.. we hurdle stoners that lie on the ground .as the bartender pours another round... we get so high and so blown away... we can't take no more hits today... aaaarrrggghhfuk...aaarrrggghhfuk.... My brain is toast I'm way to high... when a bong hit comes into my sight.. I light my lighter and I suck it down... a burst of coughs rips it from my lungs..now as I lay her gazing at the sky... my body numb my throat dry... so now I lay here forgot and alone... out of beer our friends go home.. aaarrggghhfuk... aaarrrggghhfuk...
Nothing can top Paul Di'anna's voice, a legend who made me fall in love with Iron maiden but I have to admit Bruce Dickinson vocals in this song are amazing 🤘
@@СергейСальченко Этот альбом в виниле с разворотом: как книжка открывался и была большая картинка на два размера с центре, что вырезали лезвием и просто пласт вкладывали как обычно, а разворот дома вешали на стену как плакат
The Trooper is one of the least metal songs in Iron Maiden’s inventory, but, is one of their best songs. And you just made it so much clearer and enjoyable! Good job!🎉
Hi, i can see that you like the good music. I recommend you the next tribute to IRON MAIDEN: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-peAmeGGlQek.html Do you agree that it is the best tribute to this band?
My english teacher worked at some company (not sure what is was or what they did) but one of her clinets turned out to be the wife of bruce dickinson and she got to meet him at one point.
