They had Marvel NOW coming up and had other stuff for them to do, Hickman on Avengers & New Avengers and Ribic on God of Thunder. I think it all evened out.
This is my favorite Ultimate Universe storyline and one of my favorite marvel comics ever! It’s a shame that Hickman couldn’t finish the story but the ending is satisfactory enough.
What are you talking about ? He has a normal head. At 12:45 you see a normal head and his helmet goes into itself. Not to mention if he has the same powers as his 616 counter part shapes dont matter
The maker can use his stretchy powers to make his head bigger therefore making his brain bigger, so he can process thought faster. He can even use his powers to make "clones" of himself. He doesn't even need food or sleep anymore. The Maker is literally "Ultimate" Reed Richards.
@@CornBreadtm1 I'm not sure if that is the actual, canonical reason for his head being that size. But, if all he was doing was expanding his skull and brain, it still doesn't explain why it is so malformed and hairless. But, now that I think about it, that explanation is fucking stupid. Simply expanding the size of the human brain wouldn't make a person smarter because it still has the same number of neurons and connections. If anything, by increasing the distance(s) that the electrical impulses have to travel between synapses, neurons, and the body, the brain's processing capabilities and the body's responsiveness would slow down; effectively making a human dumber.
Dude , Rob , i just wanna say thank you man , you and your videos have gotten me through some of the toughest time of my life , and i did it , i collected all of Hickman's Avengers/New Avengers up to Secret Wars , all of it , and yeah , just wanted to say thank you , your amazing, keep up the great work
You da man Rob. Love the breakdowns of all these comics. Even though I've read many of them you cover, there are also quite a few I haven't. So it's much appreciated.
7:59 "...they ofcourse access Odin, they begin draining Odin of his own energy -his life force." The version of the Marvel Universe that's based more in reality... :D
Hoping for more Sideways or Mr Miracle... And Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew..... Thanks for going over stuff that they might try to pull from for EndGame!
This is kind of a remake of an old FF story by Byrne, don't know the issue numbers, but it was a city inside a dome where time went forward thousands of years inside it and the FF had to figure out a way to go in and fix it without killing the entire city ecosystem in the process.
Found it: I'm not clear if it starts in Thing #36 (vol 1) or Avengers West Coast #10 (vol1), but parts 2-4 are Fantastic Four #293-295 (vol 1), the last storyline in Byrne's run - "Central City does not answer", "Hero Worship", and "Welcome to the future".
For those who are curious about the maker's head he literally expanded his mind to be smarter I don't know how that works but thank god he covers it up
Now you have to talk ultimate Reed Richards. The differences in powers. And How evil he truly becomes. This was suppose to be the Fantastic Four movie that we never got at Fox!
apart from the mention of eternity in guardians of the galaxy vol.2 and the living tribunal in doctor strange marvel tends to avoid cosmic entitys but since marvel does plan to do eternals (and im not saying there will be any or have referance in avengers endgame) it would make sense to show the celestials especially also since they have also been seen in guardians of the galaxy and reference of them in thor ragnarok
So even though, i really wanna hear this story.. Is it wrong to say i missed your shit!! I really hope you had a good Christmas vacation, and as much as the rest of the corp and i dream that to be true... We are so glad our leader's back!!!!!
I was uninterested with this story thinking "how does this compare to all the other world ending events or Avengers losses" until the ultimate Reed Richards reveal then I flipped to "that totally makes sense and I'm so glad he's a threat instead of any new villain"
Can we get a video of, "What if Marvel bought Milestone Comics?" I would really love your take on how great that would be for the comics and movie lines and what all could potentially happen.
Hey Rob! Great content as always. Would you consider doing a "Top 15 comics from 2018 you cannot miss" kind of video? Would be super interesting. Thanks!
You should do a video on red goblin or the time wolverine became the dark Phoenix (or anything with Constantine and or sandman (just anything vertigo))
13:33 Oh, we are the valiant infantry! We are the alpha team with passion and comraderie! Hear us as we shout as the top of our lungs, be calm, be bold and raise your guns! EDF!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, Rob! Great work as always. I was wondering if you could make a video about all those versions of Loki. No matter how much I read, I was still confused and it frustrated me so much I just dropped it and stopped reading. I'm sure I missed something along the way, cause there's so much...
I really wish The Maker was used more, he doesnt have to be giant bad revolving around a story, but I don't want him to be a 2-bit appear and disappear act
Can you do a revision secret wars 2 (original comic). I thought that was a really cool comic when it first came out and I can’t find any good posting of it online.
hey RoB, DO YOU THINK WORTHY SILVER SURFER WILL BE TOO POWERFUL FOR THE MCU? OR CAN YOU MAKE A VIDEO ON WORTHY SILVER SURFER AND A POSSIBLE POWER SCALING?
I quite like the Ultimate verse or the stories I read of it at least. Darker, edgier true but I like stories were things don't always go back to the status quo. Thus allowing more growth of the characters. Too bad that got us egg head Reed. Not that I minded him being evil it was just they seemed to only rely on him as an overpowered villain. I think this is my favorite version of Thor also. Not quite a man but not a demigod either.
