People forget that's it's not official lore, because it's not part of the official release. It's beta lore. WIP stuff that was save for learning reasons. I still like to imagine though.
Well, the concept of human/pokemon couplings has been in the game for years at this point, so it's hardly new. And fundamentally it's just a twist on our mythology adapted for the setting. So, yeah, whatever.
Pokemon/Palword fans: "This is sick and disgusting!" Anyone: "But you're okay with Palword. What's the difference? Pokémon/Palworld: "You see, the difference is..." [The fan immediately leaves]
Heard that stuff was translated by AI. Which I believe because trying to translate Japanese to any other language never goes smoothly. Though I wouldn’t be surprised they did try to Pokémon-ify certain folktales. Like those cursed lore stuff was just a template and they had to find a way to make it more PG. Kind of like how Disney did with their early movies.
it's more conversions of creation myths from IRL involving animals - those would seem sus too if read uncharitably. They clearly tested out pokemonifying them, it sounded dodgy, they didn't use it, and that would have been that had everything not leaked out
well good job Gamefreak you finally beat the pro devil allegations from the 90s...Because your beta lore lowkey freaked out Spanish shortstack strawberry Satan herself.
