Here's some info for those new to IronMouse: She's singing like with an oxygent tube up her nose and significantly damaged lungs. She is amazing on a great many levels.
I was in GOT's stream when he reacted to Mouse. We did let him know about her illness and lung issues after he cut his reaction. I wish his VOD still existed to I could show Mouse how his respect for her opera voice skyrocketed after learning that.
The nice thing is that she's steadily been getting better over the last few years. At first, she couldn't even sing a single song the whole way through without some sort of coughing or switching to an easier voice or something along those lines, but that type of thing hasn't happened nearly as much within... about the last year and a half to two years.
Mouse is the only reason why I made a Twitch account. This moment was surreal, I still haven't totally processed it but thank you for being you, Mousey!! ILYSM!! 💜 ~sKiDa
Mouse not being able to continue her opera voice on the line "all that I can do" is crazy poetic and that makes the whole clip so much more poignant and memorable.
That's just the singer in her, anyone who has played an instrument or is a trained singer will always be their own worst critics. That's how they always improve it's healthy to an extent mousey takes it a bit far because of her low self-esteem though.
I've seen like a dozen people react to this, even people that know her well, and they all get that same look on their face when she starts! It never gets old.
I had to listen to Mousey quite a bit before I realized that she's hard on herself not just for the low self-confidence issues but because she knows ad used to be able to hit a standard of singing that most singers could only dream of. Imagine her being able to sing without having damaged lungs or needing oxygen. And you rehearseto that level. I don;t doubt she'd be one of the top singers on the planet. As it is, I still want her and Sora Tokino from Hololive to collab, perhaps with A-chan because Why not. I don't doubt the moment she and Sora start talking about singing opera that despite language barriers the two would somehow find a way to communicate and talk about opera school for hours on end as both are trained opera singers
Glad Luke is getting some exposure. A lot of the high energy reactors can feel a bit forced - but he just is like that. It's fun to watch him explore the VTuber rabbit hole and be genuinely excited and amazed every step of the way. And he's active in the comments too, reading through all the context and recommendations people leave.
Part of why that old model os my favorite, because any time she sings, I remember tearing up and seeing that version of the character. That's always gonna be my Mousey. Even as she improves, I see THAT Mousey in my heart haha
From a person who initially was uncertain to jump down this rabbit hole to be acknowledged by a vtuber of this magnitude is impressive. It’s well deserved and quite amazing to witness. ❤
This is too sweet. Love GOT Games takes and willingness to explore Vtubers and their music. Knowing Mouse as a fan, she is so sweet and I love when she reacts to these reacts of her. Thank you for sharing this clip!
I really like his reaction content. I rarely follow reaction channels, prefer to just look up "(song name) reaction", but he always has such upbeat attitude and nice things to say
Sending reactions to their content to creators where they are getting openly and unabashedly complimented is an ingenious new form of torture and I am 100% in favor of it.
So sweet.. maybe mouse was embarrassed at first because maybe the guy would diss her (as she's a vtuber. Also because she hates watching her old singing). But she got compliments instead and that probably touched her a lot
It's so awesome seeing this! G.O.T is such a wholesome dude, and Ironmouse is an amazing and lovely person, so seeing them interact as a fan of both their content feels incredible.
not only what ironmouse said, but been watching another youtube channel (the charismatic voice) that picks apart and appreciates the subtlties in songs an vocal pitches/notes that normally would be hard or rough to hit or maintain for long, but somehow are very much done on tour, and it pretty much comes down to correct posture, breathing, and things of that nature didnt know the bit about chester having pollyps on/in his vocal chords though, but its not suprising with all his screaming
My voice left me the first time I was going to do a live show, even with all the praise I got I still ran like a coward and haven’t done much singing in the 25 years since.
other vtubers: "sorry guys, I have a headache. I can't stream tonight." ironmouse, with a foot in the grave: "wanna see me do a subathon? wanna see me do it again?"
as a singer myself I completely understand her even tho I didn't notice any mistakes she made unless I rly look for it. we're all our own worst critic, after all.
every single day i feel like i just fall in love with mousey more n more, n ill never be ashamed of how much I love her, I always will. te amo mousey ❤🥺💘
Imagine what her reaction would have been if her singing was introduced with "Mousie in the Bathroom". (Which is also good, regardless of the funny lyrics.) This is probably a more normie-friendly song as far as things go.
Yes, but not like she used to. I’m sure you’re already aware of her health issues at this point, but yeah, without them she could have become a professional opera singer. It’s a real give and take, though
I like how she trash talks her own singing as if we're all pro opera critics, like ma'am we're all normal joe's, doing 9-5's and raw dawgin life using her voice as a drug. It's like Hercules calling himself weak to us.
I guess her being embarassed when she witnesses people reacting to her singing, maybe got something to do with her nipples getting hard when singing opera. Mind you, noone would know if she hadn´t told us. :P
