@@sigil7x679She has CVID, so she needs to stay isolated in her room for most of her life and have plasma transfusions to fight off infections. She is also bedridden and over the past few years thanks to streaming giving her life purpose, motivation and financial support has been getting more physically active and healthier.
She sounds like a Disney character. I won't be surprised if birds starts flocking to her, chimpmunks starts jamming, deers stares in eldritch amazement.
Imagine how her parents feel, helplessly watching their daughter slip away because of her illness and feeling helpless to do anything to help her. then years later when she finds a niche to call her own she finds the strength of will to persevere and express herself thru a creative outlet that gives her hope, and as you walk by her room you hear something you haven't heard from your daughter in years, her angelic voice filled with hope and joy as she sings opera for thousands of people around the world. I can imagine the tears of joy they shed. Mouse is truly an inspiration and it isn't hard to see why so many love her, her parents couldn't be prouder.
Opera singers are trained to project their voice because when they sing live they don’t tend to have a mic (trained properly and the acoustics of opera halls) so the parents do not need to be pressing their ears against the doors to listen 😂
Isn't this the first time she's managed to maintain her opera voice throughout this song? Impressive milestone if that's the case, since she has stated that it is difficult for her.
It's pretty clear at this point that the support of her fans and her ability to actually socialize with people as a vtuber has done literal wonders for her condition. Ignoring everything else, it's clearly given her hope, which is the most important thing.
@@KhronicD yeah its kind of incredibly how much non physical changes in ones life can have on some conditions fair enough im pretty sure her physical health has also improved and all of that good stuff but her getting the chance to socialize and be appreciated like this has certainly done wonders for her health too
@@FaySmash That definitely helps, but if you don't think mental health increases the chance for sick people to get better, you're clearly not familiar with health care in general.
We now have 3 or 4 versions of mouse singing this and with each version....holy shit you can tell shes SLOWLY starting to get her body back in true control of it cause God damn shes basically beating the nerfs she has gotten
First time she had to take minibreaks througout, now she can do it full blast and only be a little out of breath after.. amazing. Literally brings tears to my eyes, both from the beautiful singing and the significance of it.
I feel like in the twist and turns her life tools that put her here as a Vtuber, she transcended what she dreamed of when she was just an opera trainee She’s delivering an appreciation for opera to thousands who probably wouldn’t have touched it otherwise. She singing to audience numbers unheard of in opera.
Her health is improving, guys. Before she couldn't do the whole song, now she can. Maybe next she'll be able to sing two songs with opera voice in a row, next three, four... I can't wait for it and I'm so happy she's going better and better everytime
I want to hear her sing before she got really sick. If she sounded better than she does now, it must have been beyond crushing losing it. I'm so happy she's recovering.
I don't think it's the quality of her voice that was degraded by her illness, just how long she can sing, since as people have pointed out this is the first time in a long time she was able to sing this long with her Opera voice.
@@Tython82 as someone with an illness that ended up effecting how i sing, i definitely think this kind of thing go hand in hand, having difficulty singing and holding a voice can absolutely affect quality, as it would not come as easy as it could, Doesnt mean her singing is bad in any sense at all, her voice is so beautiful, but it means that its a lot harder to keep the quality good when overcoming these other things
@@Tython82 her actual speaking voice got affected too, her voice never used to be this high pitched and she effectively lost her low note range (and has spoken about how shes doing vocal training to try and get it back)
@@aerialdive yes i remember her saying that too, about how she lost her low register and has been working to get it back, and losing range in your voice absolutely means the quality of her voice was affected
@@aerialdive As much as it probably sucks in all other regards (as someone with a childish voice I understand), it works for her Vtuber persona really well.
What is even more impressive is that she blasted this out after singing virtually nonstop for about an hour beforehand. Absolutely incredible, well worth staying up into the wee hours of the morning to see this live.
@@nickmilo932 it's better than being the very start yes but getting like a single different song to warm-up is all you need, or if Mousey does them, vocalizations.
@@nickmilo932 Singing songs isn't really warm-up as it probably won't cover all bases. For non-operatic singing you need 15 mins at most of warm up exercises, for opera I imagine you might need longer. How long you can sing depends on your voice and training though, with a voice like that I imagine Mousey was trained which means she can sing for longer without wrecking her voice but some people just can't sing (at full power) for long at all. I could go for 20 minutes before my throat gets sore but my identical twin can only go for about 8 minutes, same training and almost the same singing voices.
@@FurSealed Mousey is a trained opera singer, the thing is, she's sick (for her singing the worst thing is, she has damaged lungs and throat) and her condition doesn't allow her to sing more than 1 max 2 songs in her operatic voice. She mostly gets out of breath or loosing her low voice, which then jumps back to her normal high pitch one. Her voice was actually different before the sickness really got to her, and not as high pitch which is a consequence of her damaged throat.
I can’t say I’ve heard a streamer with a voice that sounds anything close to what Mouse can do. I cant believe a voice this powerful is in such a tiny little body
I’m not really into Vtubers, so i was understandably surprised when this was recommended to me. But god, this is stunning. Even the level of expression captured is beautiful. Seeing that this shows a big improvement on her health from the comments makes me so happy. I wish all the best for her and whatever she wants to do in the future.
Oh friend, I hope you've explored the world of Vtubers after this. It's a world of beautiful madness, and Mousey's story is one of the most inspirational stories to have come out of the community.
Can you imagine being her family, seeing this? Hearing this? And being so relieved, so happy that your loved one's strength is slowly returning to this extent.
Incredibly late response but its all about technique. For example. Try holding an A note for about 5 seconds. Then do it again with your tongue slightly lower than normal. Now try a third time with more emphasis on having a clear airway but tongue still lower than normal. Technique goes a long way which makes me so amazed by Mouse.
She sang it all the way through. No noticable interruptions or coughs, and didn't have to catch her breath towards the end. After hearing her struggle so much in earlier clips, this damn near makes me want to cry.
SHES MADE SO MUCH PROGRESS SINCE WHEN SHE LAST SUNG THIS, im so proud of mousey and all her accomplishments and for pushing, genuinely had me tears, she has a such a powerful voice.
Don't watch Mousey much, but I have a lot of respect for her and all of her accomplishments. Not only that, but her singing here actually made me tear-up, she has such an amazing voice
For me, it's like a "why the caged bird sings" type of melancholy. Ironmouse can't go outside or do a whole lot of things in general so her options for self expression are limited at best, so when she belts out the opera (something she also had a pre-existing passion for), it's a way for her to just completely seep into her own world away from all of the struggles in her life.
It's hard to describe how happy it makes me to hear her sing opera. And you can see how much she's improved. She's no longer gasping for air part way through. Mousey stronk!
Her control of the speed of her vibrato is absolutely alien. I've been lead for a few musicals in my time and I cannot fathom having such airtight control on vibrato like that. Incredible!
the song she sang before this, "And I am telling you" is also a great way to see how far she's come. I still remember hearing her belting the long note in that one for the first time after a sykkuno raid in early 2021 - she's come so far
I don’t know jack about VTubers but my jaw literally dropped open at this performance. Genuinely it’s even more astounding when you learn the background behind it and that it was also at the very end of the live, I’m downright floored at the quality of her voice. Wishing her health all the best
How she did this while having Cvid and having sung and entire set (also singing it right after “and I’m telling you”) is beyond me. Actual gigamouse behaviour
Just seeing her expression after 3:18 ...man. It almost looked like shock, looking up, the eyes shrinking a little, almost like she surprised herself... damn
The best part about this was that right before it, she got a big raid and there were a ton of people who had never heard her sing like this. Definitely a moment to be remembered.
I was introduced to Mouse through Connor's videos and am so use to her being a gremlin that this completely caught me off guard. her voice is incredible!
Knowing her story and saw the old clip of her in the past, I can sense the accomplishment and slowly recovering. And now she can sing properly. My eyes are tearing up man. AHHHH-
With each time she sings this song, you can see the progress of her voice recovering. Hope Mousey gets well enough that she can sing other opera songs in the future
@@budmeister That's not exactly how it works lol. Meaning, what contributes to a deeper vocal range has nothing to do with the chest, and everything to do with the size of your throat. The larger the throat size, the deeper you'll be able to go. Because we see Mouse with both a high pitch and a deep pitch, more than likely she's short but has a large throat (girth-wise), giving her that range. Smaller throats are incapable of sustaining very deep tones. Normally as we age, our voices naturally get deeper as well. A person with a thicc throat can reach both low and high tones.
I understand why people cried when they heard her sing it, probably for two reasons, one is that she can actually maintain this level of performance when previously she could barely hold her opera voice. And the second reason is that she honestly has one of the most beautiful voices I've heard (as a singer myself), a full alto voice with a touch of higher octaves in it, and her excitement showed itself so beautifully
Knowing her health struggles and how hard this is for her especially after singing for so long, it genuinely mad eme cry, we are so proud of you Mouse!
hearing her start singing with that voice after speaking and then, after finishing the song, returning to her regular mousey voice? its so jarring but in a really good way. the range is really fuckin impressive, especially considering her health complications. happy for her 🩷🖤
I was so shocked when I heard this I didn’t think it was Mouse at first. I was like, wait did she leave the voice part on by accident? And as I continued to listen I was like omg this is definitely her! Then I come to find out it’s the 6th time she’s sang it and needles to say Mouse has the most beautiful voice I’ve ever heard! She performed it so beautifully.
The entire singing session was legendary and this was the perfect ending to it. She has an incredible ability to sing such a wide variety of styles and the energy is always bursting through. Makes me want more official covers or maybe a mouse original one day!
As much as I love and appreciate the positivity in the comments I would like to take this time to clarify one thing. Mouse's illness is an autoimmune disorder. As such her health will never "recover" completely. Autoimmune disorders can have periods of time where the health improves for a while, but eventually there will always be the next "episode" in which the disease will progress. As someone who suffers from an autoimmune disease myself it took me a long time to accept this fact. So when you guys are being hopeful that she has recovered and is getting better, please remember not to put any stress or unrealistic expectations on mousey. I cannot imagine how much her disease affects her mental health but having thousands upon thousands of people constantly tell you "oh you're getting healthier" while you know that might change any second is super stressful and crushing. :(
mRNA is showing promise with addressing autoimmune disorder, but that doesn't mean that the damage to her lungs can be redressed. Nevertheless, Mousey's mental health has significantly improved in these years, which does contribute to her physical well-being. I doubt that you'd suggest that Mousey is not making any recovery even by stating that she cannot make a full recovery.
The fact iron mouse was able to complete the entire song with her actual opera singing voice without cracking, proves her health is improving. It must suck being stuck with a voice of someone much higher pitch then you're natural voice.
“We did it bros! We did it!” - When most ppl say that, they usually refer to the _moral_ support that their viewers give them. But here, it’s very much literal. Her Precious Family allowed her to afford the treatments needed to regain her strength, gave her family financial peace of mind, gave her _Overall_ peace of mind, and gave her the love & hope needed to go from struggling to go a single minute with her Opera Voice, to now going a whole song with barely a tremble in her voice. 😭
im so glad to see mousy able to sing more opera now, i remember when her early time she couldn't get through the entire song with out having to stop. i also love how almost sounds like entirely different person.
I only really consume her content through clips like these or occasional videos and OH. MY. GOD. I actually have chills I had no idea she sang. She sounds like a completely different person and knowing all of what shes been through health wise this is the most insanely impressive performance I have ever heard.
I've been watching Mouse for a long, long time and I cannot explain how proud I am of her for persevering. She must be practicing so much behind the scenes to be able to do this for herself and for her fans. Amazing Mouse. Please keep going.
I am just so impressed that she can sing like this with a condition that causes respiratory problems. Whenever I try to sing I run out of breath and I am healthy. She is amazing!! But even if she wasn’t sick she would be amazing!
This song and 'and im telling you' give me goosebumps when i hear her singing them. She has such incredible pipes on her, id love to see her do a concert and have someone act as her avatar on the stage with a camera on them, so she can feel the total immersion. She could possibly do one in VRchat (if it doesn't go down the tubes after that whole modding ban thing) that way she could control her avatar and see the audience as close as possible. i just want her to be able to get that full experience that she obviously worked very hard to get to before her condition fucked all that up.
Dude im one of those people that would usually cry at most once every two years but now everytime i hear her perform this song i cant stop the tears for some reason. Im sure knowing her condition does a bit and maybe its the song but honestly she has the voice of an angel and i can never keep myself from bawling my eyes out listening to her singing this song.
I’m not the most familiar with her, but the way she can change her vibrato’s frequency and loosen and tighten it up like that… and the cleanness of her flourishes take a LOT of practice. I’ve been classically trained for a few years as a singer but I’m no expert. I am so incredibly happy for her recovery.
I've only recently discovered Mouse but i've been watching more of her clips lately, she's honestly such an inspiration. I'm immunosuppressed too and sometimes i feel like im never going to get better because all my infections keep coming back, but I see mouse, who has it WAY worse than me, and i see how positive shes able to stay, and it makes me feel so much better and motivated to succeed
Hearing mouse sing is the oddest experience. She feels like a gremlin most times, but then she sings and I’m left briefness and asking “What happened?”
"I will listen a few seconds to see if she's any good." ** gets sucked into listening to the whole thing, crying at the end** "You win this one, interwebs"
Lyrics for those who want to sing along: When I look at you, what I always see Is the face of someone else who once belonged to me Still I can hear him laugh And even though that melody plays on, he’s gone When I look at you, he is standing there I can almost breathe him in like summer in the air Why do you smile his smile? That heaven I’d forgotten eases through, in you If you could look at me once more With all the love you felt before If you and I could disappear into the past And find that love we knew I’d never take my eyes away from you When I look at you, he is touching me I would reach for him, but who can hold a memory? And love isn’t everything That moonlight on the bed will melt away, someday Oh, you were once that someone Who I followed like a star Then suddenly you changed, And now I don’t know who you are Or could it be that I never really knew you from the start? Did I create a dream? Was he a fantasy? Even a memory is paradise for all the fools like me Now, remembering is all that I can do Because I miss him so, when I look at you…. She did an amazing job on this song.
Dear god, she has an absolutely awe inspiringly voice. Like others have said she just keeps improving, despite what life has dealt her, she is an inspiration. 🥰
I've always known she has a great voice, i just listened to the song she released with Nyanners and she slayed on that track. I read that she sang opera but never heard her sing opera before. I wasn't prepared for this at all. What a powerful voice, so much emotion and passion. My jaw dropped and I cant stop crying. That was beautiful. The music, lyrics combined with her incredibly emotive model was just breathtaking. This gives me such an overwhelming surge of emotion.
I love this clip so much, I get goosebumps every time I watch it, and it's amazing seeing how happy she is that she got through the whole song to the end
