To be fair, your dog actually instigated a reaction from the other dog, all her dog was doing was telling yours off for trying to mount him/her. Lots of dogs are tolerant of other dogs until a certain point when a certain behaviour is done so to be fair, you were the one at fault even though your dog was on a lead. The other dog didn't intend on starting a fight or hurting your dog, he or she looked an older dog who obviously wasn't tolerant of your dogs mounting behaviour. I have had it with my dog, other dogs have tried to mount him, he doesn't like it and retaliates which I don't apologize for, that was the situation here, your dog caused the reaction, not hers, she wasn't at fault.
@@AMERICAN_PITBULL_TERRIER Er no, if your dog had wanted to and retaliated and injured or killed the other dog, you would be the one liable regardless of the fact your dog was on a lead, simple as that, you wouldn't have a defence.
Judging by how you argued with someone about how your dog could have legally killed the other dog because it was off leash you are part of the problem this breed faces. If you KNOW your dog is reactive why take it anywhere it can meet other dogs? Why have it on a LONG ass leash where if there were a small dog on the other side of that tree, your dog could snatch it and kill it in one bite and a few shakes of it's head. If you gave an inkling of shits for animals or how the breed you advocate for is seen by the public. You would do ALL you can to prevent your animal from adding to the bad wrap this breed already has. Not making excuses. I do not condone that owners negligence. But difference between that loose mutt and your dog, is that little mutt dog isnt gonna kill another dog in the blink of an eye. That mutt dog displayed proper dog socialization and let your dog sniff it. Your dog started that fight by displaying overly dominant mounting behaviors. That old dog turned around to say get off me and your reactive dog immediately went for it. At lease be man enough to own up to that and stop making excuses for your powerful breed of dog displaying bad behavior.
All he has to do is just lift his dog up and ask the owner to get the little dog if he is really that concerned. All you need to do. The little dog aint doing dogSh*t to a pit. This guy has zero clues.
“That’s exactly why I keep a leash on him” and also why I keep the camera rolling. I would’ve had to asked her to keep away though if her dog was off leash.
i use every moment to learn all i know is i can control MY dog that’s why i don’t stop people cuz i can’t control their dog and sometimes then can’t control their own dog so i don’t make any barriers i put my trust into my dog and that’s why i ALWAYS follow the law
You do understand that your dog attacked that dog right? From the Side. The other dog was reacting defensively and actually deescalating it by checking your dog for his actions. You are CLUELESS. @@AMERICAN_PITBULL_TERRIER
This is some sorry ass comments section making excuses for an owner with no call control of their dog and having said dog off leash. If your dog is off leash, make sure you have control. Dogs do shit, and shit happens. If your dog comes up to mine at a public park and gets rag dolled then thats on you.
Both dogs approached each other at the same time, the smaller dog didn't run up either and was walking away when the other one lunged at it, then he corrected him. For its own protection the woman should leash up her little dog. The leashed up dog needs more training. My young dog has the same problem where he gets too excited to meet other dogs and wants to pull to greet them and engage in playing right away. This one should had been corrected by the owner when he jumped on the smaller dog, with or without leash it's unacceptable behavior. Again, I have the same problem with my 1 yr old and we're working on it.
This guys a fool, he wont be able to properly train him. Look at that thing he has on his dog. That little dog could go to a dog park and interact with 10-15 dogs and not have a problem.
