That's a typical German squirrel (not sure about the official name). Red fur, bushy tail and rather shy compared to the US version. (At least the ones I saw in NYC were much more open to "interact" with people.)
@@ThereOughtaBe Yeah, they are probably a bit spoiled. People like to feed them sometimes. Much less bushy fur on the ears here in Florida, guessing NYC too.
Brown squirrel? cool! where I'm from they are black I have two them that live in my backyard they been here before us :) so it's pretty their home as well
Sprinkler spray pattern should overlap, because they don't water evenly. They fling most of the water further away from the base. This is why sprinklers should have 100% overlap, which ensures even watering
How is the winter de watering system works? I'd would like to know /see the physical part (the valve system, leveling, where and how the purge works...) Thanks!
This is done by special drain valves that are closed under pressure but open when the pressure level drops. When there is no pressure in the pipes and I turn on the pump, they leak water slower than the pump is pushing into the system, so the pressure rises quickly to the point at which they close. Then they stay closed until the pump is turned off. If the sprinklers are still open, the pressure drops through the sprinklers (while the water remains in the lower pipes) until at some point the valves open and the remaining water can escape through them. So, this does not only happen in winter, but every time I turn of the system. There are a few things to consider for this solution: You need one of those valves at each "lowest" point, so the water can always flow down to a drain valve. Each section should also be able to suck in air at some other point or the water cannot get out. This is usually no problem through the sprinklers, but disconnecting the system from the pump before winter and making sure that there is no section sealed off by two valves is a good idea. Finally, the drain valves need to be packed into gravel, so the water can leave the valve and drain away. As I stuck to Gardena for my system I am using those: www.gardena.com/int/products/watering/pipeline/drain-valve/901015901/ You can actually see three of them at 1:30 (each covered in a black protective mesh).
good day, actually I have a project in which I need to create an automatic sprinkler too, may I ask for the steps, materials needed, and the coding of arduino too?
Hi, can you give a tip what is a proper topic and message to open specific valve in "Offen" stage ? I'm trying: mosquitto_pub -h 192.168.2.56 -t watercontrol/setSprinkler -m 4 where 4 is digital pin and 192.168.2.56 is mqtt server ip address. You have low level trigger relays ? Thank you.
