Hi Sabrina! How I charge is time plus cost of parts for service and repair work. I charge $90/hr which isn't the top end for my area, and there's definitely many places where you could charge a lot more than that. As far as a diagnostic, I have a System Start Up Special; $89.00 for up to 6 zones of inspection and adjustments, $10 for each additional zone. You go through each zone and adjust all the heads that are running, and it gives you time to look at everything, watch for leaks, ,look for the valve boxes, etc. Put flags on all problems. Then you can give them a breakdown of all the problems you've found. Don't trap yourself by throwing out a price if you have leaks or valves not working or electrical problems etc. because you just don't know. Thanks for watching!
