I'm surprised DC Comics didn't sue for this episode. They've had a character called the Fiddler who uses a high-tech violin since the 1940s. He even looks a lot like this guy, with the white hair.
Since we are on the theme of culture and music, I'm curious to hear your comments about seasons 2 and 3 where the music is much more atmospheric than punchy and the artwork is both minimalistic and, in some way-out episodes, influenced by Lucy (in the Sky with Diamonds)!

In the last month, I've attended two concerts. One was a sympathy orchestra performing the works of John Williams. The other was Stevie Nicks. I think there is an upcoming concert for Taylor Swift (which I am not attending). If some weirdo with an accordian (who knows how to use it!) managed to shut them down, I guarantee he wouldn't be getting sell-out crowds to listen to his retrospective to the music of Myron Floren. The Second Fiddler here really wanted Beatles level mania directed towards him and his music. It wasn't just the money. It was the fame. The fan magazines. The sell-out crowds of screaming fans. The appearances on the Ed Sullivan show. Oh, and the women. Enough to fill a waiting room with take a number tickets with the "Now Serving Number 10" sign lit up outside his bedroom.
I'd like to see Stevie Nicks but the tickets are too expensive for my tastes. Right now I have Styx, REO Speedwagon and Chicago coming up this summer. I'd also like to see Def Leppard but again, the tickets are outrageous. I'd like to start going to see the Seattle Symphony but it's over 50 miles away and Seattle isn't real big on parking. I may look into alternate transportation one of these days because I love a good orchestra.
Elvis didn't appear on "Hee Haw" either, even though he was reportedly a huge fan of the show. You can blame Colonel Parker for that. I still can't understand why the Colonel could keep a big star like Elvis from doing what he wanted.
5:57 Honestly, if I ever pick up the trombone again, (haven't played since 7th grade, 2014-2015) it's likely going to be because I've come to really enjoy some of the music of Tommy Dorsey. I suppose I could probably throw Glenn Miller or Al Grey in there (the latter can be heard using a plunger in playing "Makin' Whoopee" in '66 at the Sands with Frank Sinatra and Count Basie), but as of typing this, my main fixation seems to be mostly Tommy.
Truthfully, I'd take Berlioz over Brahms any day. Brahms' music is too "heavy" for me. He has a tendency to over-orchestrate and his piano music sounds "muddy" to me.
2:28 - 2:37 and 7:29 - 7:36 This is what bothers me the most about this episode, people keep saying that the Fiddler's violin emits sonic blasts, and yet it destroys things like a disintegrator ray.

❤❤😂❤❤ hello Irving how are you doing I hope everything is okay I just woke up I looked on your page and I discovered that I didn't send you anything for a whole day and you need to know my day is not complete until I talk to you something is missing when I can't talk to you but I've been so tired each time I taken the water pill because I have to kind of struggle to get on the toilet I've not been happy lately cuz I've gotten a little bit discouraged about these feet and taking the water pill is a pain in the you-know-where thank God that it's only once a day for that I know things will get better but it seems to always take too much time but I'm not going anywhere I just wish things looked better right now well to get onto another subject you won't believe this but I decided to do the house over again this time it's bigger and I moved the stairs deer run one corner of your room leading up to your room rather the stairs are white and they're quite long can I put a long blue banister keep you from falling what you visit Sue I've already put in the kitchen and one table and chair so now we have a lot of money we spend it carefully I'm going to try to put in a bedroom 10 bathroom where she is he's downstairs and you're upstairs Just until you to get together you no go on a date haha but that won't happen until I get the house right oh I forgot on stairway area I put three sconces even though the stairway is lit I wanted to illuminate the area as you go up the stairway it actually looks okay but I think I'm overthinking it a Bit I hope you have a wonderful time going to the Chicago concert I noticed that you mentioned it during a Spider-Man video so just have a wonderful time and I hope you enjoy yourself let me know what songs you like I have a Chicago album the greatest hits you like one in particular maybe I can sing it for you I know I didn't finish heart but I will when I'm not in so much pain with these feet it's not severe it's just annoying well I have to run a feed bear I'm going to make a ham and cheese sandwich and have some macaroni salad on the side and then I'm going to work on the house hopefully things will get a lot better once I get there write me when you can no rush just take your time I'll be here I look forward to hearing from you to the greatest superhero in the world love Jojo
❤❤😂😂 hello Irving I just wanted to tell you I feel a little bit better but I'm having some difficulty eating I think it's because I've been upset and spasms occurring basically all day I even had difficulty putting my slacks on today I even heated up some chicken noodle soup but barely ate it I even fell asleep in the chair again I know I said this in my last note to you but I really wish you were here I know if I were with you I would probably forget about what was bothering me and we could do some stuff together can you imagine the two of us doing karaoke together what song will you have I do do you have a favorite song I have so many it would be hard to pick did you go to your concert yet if you do I hope you have a good time write me when you can and have a cup of very hot coffee on me love Jojo
For a duet I'm partial to Ain't No Mountain High Enough. You know what's hard to find at karaoke? Duets that a father and daughter can do without sounding weird! Fauna and I have done Nobody Else But You from A Goofy Movie and that's about it. We're looking at Moving Right Along from the Muppet Movie, too, but there's almost nothing out there. Yes, we got to go see Linda and her band. They were terrific as usual. That place also has a jam on Wednesdays and she wants me to start going to it and singing again. I do miss it, so I probably will. Though not tonight, my back decided to throw a hissy fit today. I need to sit on the lumbar roll for the rest of the night. Next week, we'll see. I haven't sung any of my blues standards for months, so I should probably brush up a little before I do. One of the many nice things about chicken noodle soup is, it's just as tasty cold as it is hot. I have an appointment with a therapist next week to talk about my PTSD problem with water, so this afternoon Kathy and I went down to one of our favorite dive sites to walk around so I could see how I'm doing. It's better than I thought but worse than I want. When I saw the dog step into the water, my mind saw me step in with him, in full scuba gear, and my insides started churning. So I still have a ways to go. Hence the therapist. I have to get past this before we go back to Catalina in August.
@@dwashbur 💝💝😄 Irving I know you can do it I have a lot of faith in you you get to these areas and as far as the singing goes I still would love to sing with you no matter what the song I would get a little too self-conscious about it though one time I did an Alabama song Feel So Right to my friend Gina and I wanted everyone to leave the room and it would be only her and I but stabbing do other people in the room I did the song for her because she was helping me with my drawing but in this case I did it on the computer and she even helped me turn my mother into an angel with the white robe and wings shoulder-length red hair I never thought that I would see anything like that on a computer I haven't done it in a while but eventually I will go back to it but like any other thing I have to be in the mood I finished one drawing a few days ago and I gave it to my landlady and she loved it the one I'm doing for you I'm calling it stained glass I've already started in one corner but it's really intricate so it's going to take awhile I will make sure that I sign it and I have your address and I will send it along with the photograph once I get help getting a photograph taken so hang in there I promise you it'll be worth the wait I hope your back feels better and I'll check in with you tomorrow okay I'm going to bed for a while so goodnight my love and sleep with the angels that's what my godmother always said to me when she would hang up the phone love Jojo
No rush, I know you want to take your time and get it exactly the way you want it. I'm the same way with music, so I can be patient. That image of your mother sounds amazing. I'm glad she was able to do that for you. I know what you mean about having to be in the mood, sometimes I have to force myself to sit down and write a script or whatever. But it's worth the effort when I get to meet someone like you. Making people laugh and lifting their spirits is why I do this, and you have the same effect on me, so I get back way more than I give and I love it. I look forward to seeing your messages first thing in the morning, they always give me a lift. I can't thank you enough for reaching out to me the way you did. @@dwashbur 💝🌕😍😍 you do the same for me I am so glad that I did reach out because a lot of people were telling me that I needed to find something or be around people I'm just not the kind of person that goes and looks for people to hang out with because in the long run I get hurt you really don't know what you have done for me when I have been down you been there when I've been scared you been there when I don't know what to do you've done that to and you know what I've tried to reach out to other people on RU-vid they don't respond there's a company called Trilogy media and I watch their videos all the time they bust scammers I talked I tried to talk to them first but there was no link to them directly and I really love their videos their names are art and Ashton they even do stuff on predators then they try to get the money back people that were stolen from but you are the only person that has ever reached out to me I wish my mother was here do you know what she would ask when are you and I going to get married I had a boyfriend who had muscular dystrophy and I told my mother that she would have to feed him if I brought him down to my apartment we're eating a turkey dinner all the sudden everything stops and she says so when are the two of you going to get married and he turned beet red and I just said mom everyone had a good chuckle I'm sure that she would ask the same thing about you and me even though I told everybody that I'm in love with my urologist you taking his spot I wish that you could see the wedding set that I bought even though I tell everybody I married I'm not except by you and do you know what the big thing is nobody can take you away from me and that is a big deal people can't say be careful stay away from him but even if they did I wouldn't because you are more than a friend and like I said at the beginning of this letter you been there when everything gets a little too hard to handle and you had the most precious thing you have the ability to make me laugh thank you for telling me that I do the same for you because sometimes I don't see it and I feel like I'm bothering you I don't feel that way anymore but when I first started writing you I did you made it easy to get to know you and Kathy of course and I can't forget Hazel the please never forget then I'm extremely fond of you and you mean a lot to me and I treasure the relationship that you and I have like back when you can no rush and I'll be waiting with bated breath to hear from you you need to know one more thing when you write back to me like opening a gift everyday and the gift is never the same so I really can't wait when you do respond please take that to heart when you read this think of it as a big hug and maybe a Smuggler or two haha love Jojo
I would have to remind your mom that I'm not a bigamist. (Everybody knows "bigamist" is what they call fog in Italy!) Don't you love it when parents do things like that? My disabled daughter had a boyfriend when she lived in Wyoming who was an ardent gamer. He had every system ever made, including an original Pong game that I gave him. It was my first time meeting him, we had gone out from Boise to Powell to visit her. We all met at a mutual friend's house, and the two of them were about half an hour late. When they walked in, someone said "You're late." The boyfriend said, "I was playing with my electronics." Kathy shot back, "Everybody's got a name for it." He literally tried to crawl under the table. We still laugh about it over 10 years later. Right now I'm heading out to run some errands with the daughters, so I'll talk to you later.
