I was probably 6 when I remember watching Steve for the first time, and was so obsessed with him as a person, his heart, his love for the wild, and watching Robert grow up and become himself has been absolutely such a remarkable thing to witness. So proud of you Robert ❤️ this turtle is making history! As are you ❤️
And the whole team as well are absolutely incredible! But watching bindi and Robert grow up just hits different, none the less so thankful for your whole team!
Congrats on being the first ever zoo to breed the Irwin's Turtle, guys! Steve is watching you all from heaven and you can be sure he's got a grin from ear to ear he's so happy and so proud.
I cant imagine a better feeling than being the first captive institution in the world to breed an animal, let alone it be the facility that was owned by the person the animal is named in honour of,then to top it off being the child of the person. It's amazing
Y’all are bloody legends. This species could’ve easily disappeared without anyone noticing, but y’all have given them a fighting chance. Heroes all of you. Robert, you are an absolute fine young legend. your mannerisms your nature, your joy reflects so much on how special zoo is and the Irwin family. Terry deserves a well-deserved pat on the back for raising to amazing children into admiral young adults. Robert, you should be so proud of yourself for everything that you are doing to fulfil your dreams and hopes. We are all proud of you. I hope I get to visit Australia zoo again in 2024. It has been awhile. Can’t wait to see all the changes and the new areas in the facility.

I loved the passion in Steve irwin's voice. He clearly passed this on to his children. It's like listening to him again and again when his children speak. Some things never die ❤
The Crocodile Hunter was my absolute favorite show. I watched it from the beginning and learned so much from it. He made us feel like we were actually there with him. Bindi - I'm sure that as he watches from above, he is so proud of you and the family. His legacy lives on through you, Robert and your Mom. If this doesn't make you feel emotional, nothing will! Robert is so much like his dad, it's almost uncanny. His little expressions of awe and excitement are very familiar, like an old friend. Long live the Irwin's turtle and all it represents, past and future, for all of us and the world.
Steve was my role model. I am who I am because of his example. So I'm so happy to see Robert has continued the legacy. It makes me cry thinking about it

I grew up watching steve irwin he made a huge impacted on my life so mush i named my son Steve Hunter after steve irwin the croc hunter my son is a little over 5 months now
You made such a 'big deal' about NOT handling him in the incubation room... then picked him up with BARE hands to release him into the holding tank ! That's a rookie mistake your dad would NEVER do !
