There is a problem and it needs to be addressed. Here in the Boston area and even more so in the country. This problem occurs not only when dealing with persons of color or of non-mainstream ethnicity, but with how the police do their jobs overall. A move to force as the solution to everything turns the police from public servants and keepers of the peace into another branch of the military and this has been going on and getting worse for years. Alternative response methods, de-escalation training, and more medical training of responders are needed, both in the Cambridge situation and in every major city in the country.

So what is white culture? I have no idea. There is no white or black culture. Just American culture. We all live in the same place. It’s Red White and Blue. I never knew that race was an issue until I was taught that. Just don’t teach race. Micheal Jordan was my hero growing up, and I didn’t distinguish him, Ewing, Pippen, being different than me. I didn’t notice him being black. Just more tan than the white players or myself. Just like my other childhood hero, Eddie Murphy. Constantly reminding everyone we are different, is causing rifts. Also, I am not European American. Why do we label African American. We’re just Americans.
