With the title 2093, I was expecting some crazy hits, but It feels basic for lack of better words. He’s had so many other songs, that sound like they would be hits, if they were made in the 2090s. It’s funny that the people who love this album, are literally acting like people from the 2090s, where it’s a dystopian hell hole, and you can’t have opinions that are different from others, and if you do you’ll be executed. I don’t understand why people who love this album, are harassing the people who don’t like this album. People have different opinions get over it. I liked a few of the songs, the rest I did not. I think why this album isn’t the best, is because of hype, expectations, fans, and the main problem I see is the industry. I feel like the industry had a major role in this, if he is signed. Most people cope and say, “oh you don’t like it because you don’t like artists changing their sound”. When in reality artists do have to change their sound, because that’s how music works. Artists have to change sounds, otherwise they will stop making music or something worse, and fans will get tired of it as well. So the people who make that argument, clearly don’t know anything about music. As I said before, I do not like this album, though I do like some songs from it. People have their own opinions, and if you love this album then that’s fine, but it doesn’t give you the right to harass others, because people have different opinions and vice versa. From the title, I was expecting a lot more myself. Let’s just hope that when the 2090s actually do come around, that all music doesn’t sound like that. If the genres are the same still. If all music sounds like that, I bet people won’t be defending it then.
The voice changer has to go bro 💀The album could be one of his best by the production alone. It would have been absolutely ridiculous if he got more features but he's released 7 albums in 3 years he's not falling off anytime soon lmao
@@goldislandmusicdo you know what falling off means? he went #1. in every single stat he is at his peak. you might be delusional bro btw this is his best album
@@t6rnerr I had bigger expectations for Yeat. There were people saying that this album would surpass 100K first week. Only one or two songs on rotation on this album fr.
I totally agree. This is the kind of hot trash that people force themselves to like because they think it makes them special. Truth is it's just trash once everything cooled down. Not a single song on this album is even remotely catchy or stands out in any way.
100% agree with this video, other than the part where he says its way too long because if this was a 2 alive or up 2 me type album with 28 songs id be so hyped ( time passed is the best song and he made it years ago)
The Album is trash and I am not saying this as a hater. I am a yeat Stan. I listen to yeat daily. But not this xrap nor that afterlyfe bs. After Lyfe he somehow lost his passion. I loved his peak at 2alive. That album had zero skips. To this day it’s 10 out or 10
I see the vision. The y2k dystopia futuristic Matrix vibe he was going for. And he def created his own world. This album shows he’s an ARTIST. But for me. I would’ve rather just another Lyfe or Afterlyfe with BNYX all over it. No evolution. But that’s just the Yeat I prefer.
@@goldislandmusic u dont even have a single video with 1K views, how come u have 60k subs... instead of constructive criticism this video sounded more like degrading and hating Yeat
i like 6 songs off it which matches how many i liked of his best album in my opinion so it’s definitely not his worst. The track list is long for me and there’s a handful of songs that are just unlistenable to me cus either the beat is bad or yeat doesn’t do enough on it. When i first played the album through i only liked the last 2 songs and i was disappointed but i did what i normally do and i watch a reaction video to it the next day to see how other people view it cus it can change ur perspective and i ended up liking a few more. It definitely won’t have the WLR effect in terms of the influence or or it’ll grow on people with time but it is in a genre of music where music grows on u, for example i didn’t like 3 of the 5 new carti songs at first listen now i love them all
I was really hoping Yeat was gonna experiment with the New Jazz style beats/genre, instead he went with the futuristic machinery noises and experimental punk rap beats, yeah mid is what I thought too
this is yeats best album imo. the tiktok bangers were cool but they got stale, so these psychedelic songs are great. yeat himself is a little boring on the album but ifl this is his peak artistry. give it a few years and people will love it like they love asap rocky.
Boy that needs instant gratification from music and can't litsen to an actual album with cohesion and an artisti vison. Everyone except delusional yeat fans are loving this album, and it will be considered a masterpiece in some time. Just look at this comment section, everyone is shitting on you
@@due8065 "I own a private jet I'm on a power trip You don't have to say it, you did it I already knew before you said Guns with drums, a instrument, so let me play it I ain't heard you, so speak up, what you gon' say?" Yeat - Power Trip. Real emotion here I can feel it oh yeah.
hard disagree, this feels like yeat actually being conscious and sober about his work and choosing to challenge himself. his sobriety really shows here and i think he sounds more clear-headed than ever on really genuinely interesting production.
