Old fan is an easy +80% attack for all units, which is, yes broken. +ASPD is probably more broken if you can get like 100 ingots. but its free damage from 10-80% yeah. its really good.
I wouldn't say an easy 80%, Its more like an Easy 50%. the rest you would have to probably mess up your team with a lower number of DPS/melees, and take more Squad Limit for 80%. Though it is still cracked
Getting TWO ASPD Relic with Old Fan at Ascension 15 is like getting Double Glaive Beam and Weapon Pre-Igniter on a Stealth Ship run, on *HARD* Imagine getting Wrath of Siracusan to top it all off

The old fan was the item that blew away Playwrite when I first encountered him, paired with atk spd relics there was no stage that I had problems with. Too bad I didn't take the bear encounter too as I would've probably killed two birds with one stone there (I have never beaten the bastard btw).
I tried your strat of only picking fights and it worked very well, lots of recruits, base upgrades and relics while encounters mostly are useless like 1 hope or 2 die rolls. Also totally agree, blaze of glory is insanely boring but it can lose you some lives when it's emergency and you have no healing/only 1 medic/low dps.

So if you wait until he reaches his waypoint and then push him back into the red box by blocking him, he just sits there and doesn't have enough attack range to hit most of the stage. At that point your medics are no longer stressed so you can just use whoever to kill him 21:22 I feel the same way as I do about any stage with chapter 9 enemies which is that it's mostly free unless you get the floor curse that gives enemies +50% DEF. if that happens the enemies become ungodly durable because chapter 9 mechanics are stupid. I've lost runs to that where suddenly no one does any damage at all
Thinks it's the most consistent because it double buffs item nodes (3 options instead of 2 and more likely to double item) Also you can spam dice every fight
Dice are really powerful; there's tons of ways to use them to make your run better depending on what you need: fights, encounters, shops, rerolling rejections, item nodes... Resourceful squad lets you do so both more frequently and more successfully - for example, the chance of opening a chest or getting an extra relic goes from 16% to ~38%, more than double the chance. I think its the strongest squad period, although the other squads do have situational uses
16:23 The emergency variant of this stage killed my best run with a bunch of E2 6* ops and good relics... slugs just killed my vanguard, and after that I was permanently out of DP and couldn't deploy anything. Placed Ling, but exploding spiders killed her summons super quickly, faster than I could place new ones...and then went the flying units, which I didn't have anything for after the sluigs+spiders killed all the ranged ops... the boss just finished the job by killing everyone who was left and that was it. Same squad absolutely steamrolled all prior stages... the difference was, I didn't have Jaye on this run...

It's indeed broken.... until the game slings nonstop vanguards, supporters and medic recruitment tags for no goddamn reason that your ending 2 run is fucked at surge 7. Not even surge 10 plus, just severe lack of dps on top of the bastard's freeze mechanic making mobs run past your stallers like they're fart in the wind....
imo the downside is way too big when you consider that you can mostly replicate the effects with other relics without having to be 1 leak from dying (and losing light every battle), not to mention that getting to 1 life point in the first place is non-trivial (either find the right encounters or lose a bunch of light)
"Easy 80% atk 💀" Totally not me getting 4 medics and useless supporter recruitments(I dont like any supporter to invest on them even for IS) + an e2 Gavialter. If that didnt happen every other run I would be more hyped for IS but goddamn Im not that inclined to deal with more rng in a gacha game. No but like seriously, the game just wont stop giving me supoorter tickets Im just tired.
