Thanks for that Bob! When I first started I was lead astray from a few videos where they were paid promotions for a product and purchased that product and it turned out to be total crap. I want people to know the truth regardless and that is part of my mission. Appreciate the view!

I bought this model for cleaning my car but also around the house. Have had it for one day and so far I like it. The pressurized steam shooting thru the attachments can be a bit loud. You might want to wear ear plugs or jam out with ear buds while cleaning. That aside - this is a great video!

I just ordered one on Amazon. Your video really makes me excited! I not only want it for my car, but I went with the big steamer to clean inside the house. The windows, floors, appliances, especially the stove and fridge, my shower and bathroom, everything is getting cleaned! Oh, I'm thinking of setting up a DI system with a cheap aquarium reverse osmosis DI four stage system that makes 50 gallons a day of 0% TDS water which can be used in the steam cleaner and the pressure washer. Guess I will use distilled water until I get that setup. edit: Another source of clean water I discovered is my local market has a drinking water dispenser machine at the entrance that fills up 5-gallon jugs you can buy in the store. The kiosk says it uses a reverse osmosis process that should remove all the nasties out of the water, and the best part it's $2 per gallon or 5 gallons. I will have to re-check on the price per gallon, but if it's $2 for 5 gallons, then it could even be used as a spotless rinse with the pressure washer using a syphon hose attachment into the jug from the pressure washer.

Quick question, can you leave the distilled water in the tank for an extended period of time? I had a Bissell that I used tap water in, but I would empty after each use with no issues, but they had a recall on it.

Is MCCulloch the same as Poulan? May have spelled both wrong but I saw the PoulanPro and someone told me they thought they were the same, some sort of merge or buyout blah blah. Heard of such?
@archangelauto

So I looked into that and Poulan is owned by Husqvarna and so is McCulloch. Looks like they are probably the exact same thing lol.

I’ve been filling up my steamer all the way and it leaks out and it takes like 30 seconds for the gauge to go from yellow to the green. Am i overflowing the system and how do i know when to stop filling up the water?
@archangelauto
@archangelauto Год назад
Depending on which one you have (1385 or 1375) you might be overfilling. The 75 only takes 48oz and the 85 takes 64oz. They come with little plastic cups to be able to measure how much water you are putting in it. If you lost it you can just measure out that much distilled water with a measuring cup.

I am on the fence between this and the Dupray Neat. This has a bit more pressure but the Neat has much higher steam temperature. Also a smaller footprint. Does anyone have experience with these two? Will be used mostly for auto detailing.

@@archangelauto I went with the Dupray. I have yet to use it on a vehicle yet. So far I've only tested it in the house but it seems promising. I will try to remember to update with thoughts after some real usage. I won't have a comparison as I haven't used any other steamer for interior details but I can give my thoughts on this unit.

This machine isn’t working for rugs? I want to steam under my bed and rug floor. It doesn’t glide over the rug. Is there a attachment for this?
@statusquoreject
@statusquoreject 4 месяца назад
@johnyortiz8774 the dupray doesn't have a higher steam temp. They are faking their numbers and listing the temp peak temp inside the boiler and not what comes out of the nozzle. I've tested both machines and neither actually getting hot enough steam out of the nozzle to truly be considered as "sanitized." If you want sanitized level of heat you will have to spend $1,000+ for pro models. These are all consumer grade streamers and all the temperatute numbers they claim are exaggerated.

I have actually used one on my couch and it worked great. As far as the bed goes, be careful as to how much moisture you are putting into the mattress. You want it to be able to dry completely or else you will get mildew. I would say go for it but maybe run a fan on it after you are done.

@archangelauto
@archangelauto Год назад
@@rickzabala6020 A steamer is what I consider a moderate solution to cleaning carpet. It works in a lot of cases for medium or heavily soiled carpets or even a pretreat for a non-heated carpet extractors. However, you can clean very well with just a carpet cleaning solution, a brush and a microfiber towel. Just vacuum the area, spray your solution and agitate it with your brush. Then simply wipe up with the microfiber towel. You will be surprised on how well this works. I wouldn't recommend doing the whole car this way as it would take a lot of time and elbow grease but, it will work for spots. Hope this helps.

Not a fan of the McCullough brand , not enough pressure and temp , for just a few dollars more the Dupray units are better , I used several over the past few years and now use a Fortador unit, but we all need to start somewhere
@archangelauto
@archangelauto Год назад
I have heard great things about the Dupray units but, I also noticed that their comparable model is like $500 (correct me if I am wrong) and that makes it over twice the price of this one which is apples and oranges.

@rdeh1678 Год назад
@@archangelauto the Dupray units give a much dryer steam , higher psi , temp and can be refilled with out turning off or lose pressure , the reason they also last a very long time .the McCullough units you may get 2 to 3 years where the Dupray are 10 years or more plus they are rebuildable.

Turns out it actually was paint on there. The steamer can do a lot but also has its limitations. I could have scrubbed it pretty hard with one of the brush attachments but that would have damaged the door card. I ended up using some Rapid Remover and a plastic razor blade and took it right off!
