Your YTD performance is already including your dividends

@@robert0057 You’re right! My apologies for this error everyone. Total return includes dividends! So my growth has been basically zero

As a 4 year dividend investor I’ve been kind of disappointed with my current investments. I will be going for the simple method this upcoming year and not buying too many new investments and just keep reinvesting into my current holdings.

I need to prune my portfolio, it's looking more like an e.t.f. 😂

I hope you’re outperforming VOO, because if you’re not then that’s a clear sign it’s not worth the effort.

I just did the same thing, sold my individual stocks and went to a portfolio of a handful of ETFS

You don't have to invest into declining dividend stocks and pay fees on it ! Just leave it on RH for 5.25% and no hassle to gain the same $140 a mo 😀

@@MB031 that works until the fed changes the rates!

@@BrendanEvan Yea, When FED starts pivoting, everything will go down to toilet, including dividends pay outs will be much less or none.. We are fucked either way,😀 but meantime we have to enjoy high rates to get max out of it. You have great videos , very good info !

hmmm.... i just opened my roth IRA with 6k... 3 weeks later I'm at 6350.... 8% gain. I really think you need to invest in tech companies especially with the AI run. I'm going aggressive. 15% in SOUN.

@@BrendanEvan the stocks I was trading was Tesla Microsoft AMD Google. A few other big names. I would day trade it. When nvidia dipped, I bought more. Same with tesla. I never sell if it’s red. Ride the wave!

Have you given thought to high dividend ETFs? You don't have to keep stocks forever. They don't get mad if you break up with them and sell them.

What is the logic behind not investing in O? Isn't that like the number one place people go for consistent reliable dividends?

Yield trap. Negative returns. Dividend yield just means you’re owning more of a negative returning asset. Makes no sense.

Don't do this if you want your portfolio to grow. Those are trash

The dividend yield is impressive, but the stock is too new to see if that is sustainable. Other similar high yield cover call ETFs typical drop significantly in price, which the dividends don't make up for it. This one also has a very high expense ratio, so probably not the best long term play.
