I too was not a believer in COSTCO for a long long time, but after visiting a store with a family member, I was SOLD!

Thank you. It’s our new favorite shopping experience. Still taking some getting used to but we enjoy going together.

I haven’t watched the video yet. I’ll answer this question before I dive into the video: 1. Costco is like a toxic relationship. You love it and hate it all at once. 2. I know when we walk into Costco for a $5 chicken, we will be lucky if we spend under $225. 🤦🏾‍♂️ 3. Costco really misses the mark since they do not have scan and go, or pickup ordering. Almost everything at Costco is better than Sam’s Club, in my opinion. However, Sam’s is ahead of the game with these 2 options. We were recently in Atlanta and I went to BJ’s for the first time since I was probably a child living in New Jersey. I’d love to have a BJ’s here in TX so I can best compare the 3. Anyway, I have to say Costco is well worth it. I’m good with just the $60 membership.

Agreed. They do have a self checkout but there's a line attendant and it's a little clunky BUT we have the perk of going during non peak times so we haven't had much issues since the first time we went during the holiday rush.

I recently got a Costco membership as well. There was a promotion at the time that I basically got a $40 gift card for getting it which essentially it was only $20 for the Gold membership. I don’t have any children so I didn’t get the executive , will upgrade one day. Overall It was worth it . And after comparing the cost for some things with even Aldi , it’s worth it for certain items.

YES!!! That Aldi and Costco combo is a solid one-two punch to keep the cost of groceries down. It's brought so much more ease into our routine since we got it.

I have shopped at Costco a few times without membership. I have asked friends or co-workers with memberships to purchase $200+ gift cards for me. Even if you have just a small amount on the card, you can pay the balance in cash.

My husband and I have been going to Costco since we were kids! Our parents still go like every week. I'm still on my dad's membership. I also have a Sam's Club membership. In college, I would split groceries cost with my roommates because it was cheaper to go to Costco. They sell different things. I know Sam's you can do something like a curbside pickup, not sure about Costco. But they both deliver. I bring IKEA bags with me. It makes things easier to carry to the car. I have used their travel services, insurance service comparing quotes, purchased some electronics, jewelry, etc. I believe Sams has a technical service hotline that you can call for assistance, even if you didn't buy the item from them. So yes there are many perks.

WOW...you have quite the history with Costco. We're not there yet but we can definitely see how they do a great job of nurturing lifelong fandom.

Long time Costco member. More than likely that woman that asked to "borrow your card" to get gas, was a hustle. If a member forgets his/her card, it can easily be looked up by the employees. That and most members have their cards in their phones, as well. Even at the Costco Gas, the employees will look up your info, so the member can shop easily. More than likely, that woman was trying to take advantage of the deeply discounted fuel price without the membership fee. Glad it worked out for you, but heads up! Costco is seriously cracking down on membership "sharing" like this. You might be better off flagging down an attendant to help her the next time. BTW, welcome to the Costco club. I grew up in Seattle where the company was founded. I' grew up in a Price/Costco household way back in the 80s and have had my own membership over 20+ yrs. I've never regretted it. Pays for itself year after year.
