Um, couldn’t we use a better oil than soybean oil in mayonnaise? I mean, soybean oil is a rock bottom crappy oil as far as health goes.

As someone who has made their own mayo, you can use olive oil. Talk about misleading.

Olive trees are suffering from climate change as well - Spain, the world's largest producer (40% of of total production), has been suffering a five year (some would say longer) drought. Italy and Greece are suffering too. My local co-op stopped processing the 2024 harvest three weeks earlier than usual because there were simply no more olives to process from their members.

as a sandwich lover.... and i mean a SERIOUS sandwich guy, i love this effort by Hellman's and in my opinion, think what Unilever is doing to draw awareness and attention to a critical issue like climate change is commendable. Labeling it "greenwashing" and trying to make it a relevant news story is a bit disingenuous -far more so than what Unilever and Hellman's is being accused of in this lightweight news segment. Kudos to Unilever and to my favorite sandwich condiment - Hellman's!
