Kia and Hyundai has given all the options to choose what to be enabled/disabled amount of braking/pickup speed, stop and go feature, they have thought through it well and built, i think we should get more awareness to people about this, certainly a good feature to have any point of day!
We all should take training and use this in highways and In future ADAS will be simply must...10 yrs. before ABS is expensive but nowadays it's must for safety .. As you said animal, barricades sensing should be enabled... Corner vehicle / object movement sensing should be improved ... Thanks ..useful podcast
It is better to safe than sorry. Keeping the additional / advance feature will be helpful, just turn off when not required. Indians are use to harsh driving and mostly do not follow the rule. Such future is handy and govt should make it mandatory feature, that will educate safe driving
Reckless people should not drive in the first place. 3 of you talking more of adas should work for what you think but kind of forgot that it was created for safety and drivers should learn the proper driving and follow the traffic rules. Of course Infra is important. more people should start using such tech then they will realize how bad our driving was
I am owing kia seltos gt line with adas and I am regularly driving banglore to karur . I am using ADAS efficiently. First thing you need to understand your car's ADAS functionality. In seltos ADAS there are 2 buttons in steering control you need remember ( one is adaptive cruise ) and lane keep assit. Second you should not enable ADAS in village roads & 2 lane and hills . The reason being if you drive in the village roads and it has sharp turn the ADAS can't see what's after that turn so the car will give the control back to you immediately in a split second. So you need to take the control in that split second if you don't have the attention and don't keep the hands in steering then you may end up in accident. And one good thing in seltos ADAS is you can override the adaptive cruise to close the gap for overtake by pressing the accelerator once you complete the overtake take the foot off then adaptive cruise will reengage From my perspective ADAS is really good but you need to understand the cars behaviour like when car owns the control and when car gives back the control. And you can disable everything as well.
ADAS so far is mostly unfit & useless in India today.. I had booked Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5L but later changed the booking to AX7 for just 30K price more..
Dear Motowagon Team, I wanted to share the bad experience by my friend in his Honda Elevate when he took his car to the Chennai Airshow event due to the Kiosk happened in the crowd the whole ADAS function got corrupted and service centre has informed him that they have to reset the ADAS program to rectify it. Hope this may be useful to your research. I have shared the Video of the Odometer Console errors to your WhatsApp as well.
The driver assistance system in Honda vehicles is not a fully developed Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS); it is known as the "Honda Sensing" system. Unlike genuine ADAS systems that incorporate both radar sensors and cameras, Honda Sensing relies exclusively on a camera. The benefit of using radar is its superior performance in low-light and adverse weather conditions, which enhances safety and functionality. In contrast, systems from Kia, Hyundai, and a few others that utilize radar represent true ADAS implementations.
You're absolutely right. ADAS can be frustrating at times. In one of my colleague's cars, it even prompts with messages like "curve towards the left," which I found quite annoying. The lane departure warnings can be irritating as well.
Hyundai and Kia deserve full credit for introducing a genuine Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) to the mass car market, utilizing both radar sensors and cameras. This combination ensures superior performance in low-light and adverse weather conditions, enhancing safety and functionality. In contrast, Honda's system, known as "Honda Sensing," relies solely on a camera, which may not operate effectively under various conditions.
40:22 ADAS la improvement na all are seat belt in properly (not cheating why because seats have weigh sesnor) ADAS is enabled otherwise not. next GPS use panni nalla perfect ana road la highway la (ADAS is enabled for this area nu and disabled nu ) voice note vara mathiri Government control pannalam...road work, construction na atha disabled pannalam antha area ku.... next ADAS is enabled nu other road user identify panna light la indicate panalam... next ADAS Camera road watch pantra mathiri driver um watch pannanum eyes ah close ah accurate ah...2 to 3 sec close eyes its noticed sudden brake or vibrate steering pannalam...
What Danie told was absolutely 💯 crt it is required when we want but it’s force fully working we don’t it doesn’t make sense at all especially in Indian roads
In case of emergency braking car companies can use the technology of soft bumper rubber suspension in the rear. Even if the car hits from the back the car bumper should accept the collision and return back without damaging the front car or back car. If this technology comes, then even hit accidents can also be reduced. I don't know whether this will happen. People may laugh at me for this idea. But if it happens then we can build an accident free driving.
Hi Bro, Nice video and very good insight on ADAS feature, whether its required in Indian conditions. Mostly I follow all your videos and reviews. Your content is really good and I love your speech delivery as well; keep ROCKING!! Even I am looking for an upgrade - a compact family car with automatic (budget: 14-15L) and sun-roof is NOT mandatory; BTW currently I'm using Swift VDI(O) 2010 model :) (for all 14+ years never had any major issues), as you say its really a drivers car :).. Could you please suggest good/comfortable car for city drive (& occasionally long drive)? Thanks in advance!
From Oddanchatram to Dharapuram Highway the sign board shows speed strips but actually it all small multiples of speed breaker. I was driving ecosport with kids who all are sleeping in back seat in night. I thought is normal speed strip and just removed the accelerator paddle but it was very bouncy then I aware of that highway and take caution.
A request to the Motowagon team: Please appoint Tamil-speaking personnel for the questionnaire, as the current representatives accents are difficult to understand.
your speech is clear. other two gentlemen speech is not clear .Also your contineous speech they are distracting and your speech is diverted from main topic
I was driving my friend's XUV 500 on the highway I was driving behind a slow-moving vehicle in the fast lane and had to overtake from the left side of the truck I had a calculation in my brain the truck driver slowed down suddenly because of a bike rider who was in front of him at that crucial moment the stupid ADAS kicked in and applied sudden break which was unexpected the car behind me in the middle lane was flashing and was moving faster than wanted to overtake both the vehicles at one shot (My vehicle and the Truck) even though my left indicators was flashing all of this happened in a fraction of a second this luckily didn't end up causing an accident 😤😤
Asir, hope you read this, can u throw some light on extended warranty schemes. For ex Hyundai gives 2 warranty schemes, standard warranty for 3, 4, 5 years and shield of trust (extended warranty). Who will need this? Is it really worth for the upfront payment?
Hi Asir bro/Team.. Thanks for your information..one general doubt, can we expect the reliability from Mahindra diesel engines like Suzuki or Honda.. pls reply when you get some time
Hi bro, MDI Minicat nu Luxembourg based company Air car design pananga ... andha compressed air technology and future la adhuku scope irkuma nu oru video / podcast podunga bro
AS FAR AS INDIAN ROAD CONDITIONS AND UNRULY DRIVING PEOPLE CHANGE ADAS, IT IS TOTALLY WASTE. 75% OF THE DRIVING PUBLIC DON'T KNOW THE RULES COMPLETELY. IN THIS SITUATION DRIVING IS HELL HERE.
Asir bro innoru issue um irruku north la lam some dashcam video pathurukom, where some goons from 1 or more car block the road and try to rob the vehicle and passanger with weapons. And some escaped these close encounters by driving through them and breaking the doors of the blocking cars. I have a doubt and concern that Adas might detect these goons as Pedestrian and auto brake the vehicle and can cause a safety consern for the family inside the vehicle. Because they have few seconds to react, these adas might eat up those precious seconds. Just had a thought about this... Let me know your thoughts on this ❤. #NermaiyanaMotoFam
I always wonder-why do people in Marthandam, Kanniyakumari district, buy vehicles when the roads are in such poor condition? Where will they drive and enjoy 😮. Every time I visit, it's a frustrating experience. The roads are bad, driving etiquette is lacking, honking is constant, and the environment is dusty. It makes me want to leave the place as soon as possible.
MW creators purpose a video slow panni release pannuveengala Normally south TN ppl speak fast 1.5x tha Enaku crct ah iruku to stay with podcast Please upshift ur video speed Gear 😂😂 hope take in right way 👍
Adas will never suit for india. I have audi with adas from 2017 they clearly disabled it after testing in india. Just try adas nagercoil to trivandrum 😂
ADAS is for your safety and it depends on how you use it. Claiming it as useless is pure ignorance.. I use ADAS for adaptive cruise control, safe exit warning, rear collision alert which are very useful. Keep in mind those were just to help you at the end of the day you are the master and common sense prevails.
If we asked to follow the rules then they say I'm a agressive driver I'll drive what I like .. as per India every one is a agressive driver and no one follows road rules even the lorry driver thing they are going in ferrari speed to take right lane and car shouldn't over take another vehicle by right side ..and those who are in right side and speedy car aproach us after indicator slow going car should leave the right lane and give the way in this scenario no one have patience...and they compare to western world if the same person one goes to western country they follows all regulations and rules in India the same person don't have patience if we qust them they I'll said we are agressive drivers ... change should be start from us then every thing will change...other wise this kind of base less videos will come...
