All mmos have lost their way cause they know players spend good money on games.

Just play in a private server,the irony is they are better than this predatory shit,i play on a 4.6 and it has mostly people who want exactly that,no p2win experience. Im really concerned about TL Origins,they are gonna destroy it like Aion

@@EckoUntitl Private servers are not a good thing to recommend. They're greedy, especially when they feel that their playerbase is sinking. Aion Destiny started milking kinahs into the game, selling it to players instead of fixing bugs. The playerbase died, because the game & patch itself was boring. I quit because of bugs and the kinah completely crashed the market. Nothing to look forward to, being stuck at one place and time sucks. It died. Euro Aion might be here for a little bit more, but it's going to meet the same destiny, afaik most of the players quit already. I was in a legion there that was quite active and no one plays there anymore. 3 months inactive. Nice nostalgia, but would not make it my main game. I still play on retail and after 3 months break I am still managing to catch up to players. I agree, the amount of p2w suck, but it's not like private servers does not have it at all.. that's a huge myth. That they don't have enchantment stones (sometimes) in the item shop doesn't mean anything, they still offer other stuff that gives you an advantage over other players (even silly exp amulet, by selling these, you can get some nice kinah and have gear progress way faster than anyone else). I get that you'd like to support a "good, private" server that you do not mind spending some few real money.. but I remember Aion Destiny very well and I am sure Euro Aion has no different intentions, did you see their Halloween "Black Friday" sale thing? :D This server might not even be here next month (and it definitely won't be because they don't get enough kinah). Also I'd like to mention that leveling with mentor is nerfed (you get less exp) and SWB only for premades. It is not the same as it was on retail, where there was actually stuff to do. You get max level, do Sauro and can log out. Elyos are not even fighting for forts, so there aren't really any way to farm cera on Elyos side, unless you get lucky into some SWB premade or there happens to be an alliance (once per year maybe). Private servers only look like they have playerbase, but retail altogether still has more players.. I just wish Korea would right now fix the game, it is not that hard and it can bring everyone back. Also, the way publishers (NA & EU both) handled 6.0 patch and the way onwards, was disgusting. They're pushing the limits of players so hard. Stigma event at first without safe spot? Really? Any other game that is f2p and made by koreans is going to be the same or even worse. In Revelation the p2w started at level 40 already.. you could not progress at all apparently.

@@lupina29 Its not java server mate,its an official version and it has no bugs or glitches,i play there for 2 months and the only problem that i had is that game crashed 2 times in 2 months(sendlog) everything else works just like in retail,no p2w no bullshit.You would be surprised how many likeminded people you will find there

This is exactly what will happen or at least we could expect if they implement the same system in EU release.

EU servers from GameForge will be 100x more P2W then Corean or NA servers. I’m really sure of it. Them Germans from GF are ruining all games by in-game cash shop. Know it from experience and as I played Aion at first from GF and then on NA servers I’ll prefere you to start playing on NA then GF if you are gonna try it.

by throwing money at them for this sorry excuse of a release you actually encourage them to keep doing what their doing. when did aion get ANY interesting content? when was the last time they delivered what was promsed? since when aion became unplayabe becouse of uncapped stat sinks that could be exploited by throwing money at them. there are games like League of Legends and Counter Strike which has no better graphics than this but they are still 10000 times more popular if not more. Korean Developers need to be gathered and teach them how to listen community

ppl looking for good graphics in an mmo, should just look for a different genre of games to play. and i dont feel like explaining, unless some1 wants me to. but the p2w part regarding aion is more then accurate. and so is the trash part.

@@Coobanmen i enjoy screenshotting in aion, i have 2000+ screenshots (not kidding) and the upgrades to the graphics made the characters look a lot better, also the character i usually make in aion can no longer be made in old graphics. Also what’s wrong with having satisfying graphics in an mmo? Not asking for next gen just the updated version they already have on retail.

I see ppl defending aion in 2020. Guys, i dont want to offend anyone, i too had great time with aion long ago, but open your eyes. Theres not many of them but there are infinitely better mmo games on the market.

@@honoryhonra I don't think most players buy gold with cash. I for one never had, in any mmos that I played. I think what most people expected was a move away from predatory cash grabbing, given how that has affected retail. It's clear however that it's probably a final push at some more cash cow milking using nostalgia as a factor. Were you to watch NCSOFT's financial statements, you'll see that most of their revenue comes from mobile games, so there isn't much incentive to give us a GOOD product on PC, but rather a final and desperate attempt at securing some more cash. I have played AION during p2p, and transitioned to gameforge.. I didn't last long when things starting going south..

that has all korean games that are p2w, korean p2w itself is not popular anymore in the world of MMORPG. If you look at BnS, Revelation or Tera.. I'd say they're way more dead than Aion. I tried all of them. Looks emptier. So Aion is probably the most active of them. Only p2p games are worth it right now sadly... may they have any origin.

@@bollvigblack exactly mate, I play Final Fantasy XIV and I do not regret spending the money. It is much better compared to Aion. But I play Aion because I have friends there and I like how fast the combat system is. But if I had to choose, I'd go for FFXIV instead of Aion.

The game is the 1.9 version, everything is like it was then (except the shop and p2w elements of course). They could have at least used the newer/upgraded graphics engine, I hope they will later.

Correct, guess thats to the greedy side. Of course the 25 might be 30 or 20 in the west, depends and its not mandatory to have in order to actually play. Doesn't make it better though

Wish you a great weekend and I hope you and your family stay healthy during these times! :) As for Aion classic, I think the best approach is not to waste our energy on what could be and just see what happens. Probably most people who played back then are now older and have the money anyway, just for newer or younger players it might be a bit too much. So all in all, let's hope for the best but not focus on it too much ^_^

If you have a job then just support the game and spend some money, if not then play 5h more. I think it's not that bad of a trade off.

So just o be clear, I think Lost Ark also has pay to win elements in it. The huge difference is that AION is fundamentally a PvP game. From open world PvP almost everywhere, to sieges and ofc instanced one. Gear with real money in AION means you pay to frustrate other players directly. Gear with real money in Lost Ark means you get to the max gear score of a patch instantly, and then still have a chance to fail in the PvE content that is at the end. No implications in PvP. If AION would not have sieges, and would not have open world PvP, but instead be a game focused on hardcore PvE content, then real money would have a very small impact.

@@Reelix True. Personally Im fine with monthly subscription fee to keep the game alive, but then the cash shop should only include costumes and such, not any must-to-buy season pass or other bullshit. Its inhumane to make player to pay two different monthly fee just to stay competitive in PVP.

Swipe once - Saved 35 hours a week of grinding. Swipe twice - Save 70 hours a week of grinding. Swipe again - Saved 105 hours a week of grinding. Swipe again - Save 140 hours a week of grinding. Sure - A F2P COULD keep up by grinding 140 hours a week (Or 20 hours day), but that's assuming you're quite literally doing nothing but playing and sleeping.

And us playing the game from day one when it launched , want to play a classic aion and we want to farm... that's the point. That's the beauty of the game.
