I can’t believe that Activision brought you out after all the SUPER tough criticism/memes you’ve made on BO4. Good on them for bringing you back and taking your content to heart, and congratulations on being invited back Reed! You’ve earned it for not holding back but trying to be helpful. Here’s hoping that WAS a beta version of the map, but personally I wouldn’t be surprised if the bugs persist on launch. We shall see!
@kung lao that'd be really cool in theory, but Treyarch already said the new storyline was completely unrelated and it wouldn't make sense to intertwine them in such a way
Reed, i really appreciate your honesty about this map and the excitement that you have for it. I have high hopes for this map and am so excited! I am obsessed with the Chaos storyline and am so excited for this next map. I hope that players and fans will have a positive attitude and enjoy this map for what it is!
Im so excited for this due to the map design alone! Looks absolutely beautiful, and if the sound design matches the visuals and the easter egg is fun to do Ancient Evil will most definitely crack into my top 3 maps of all time!
The only thing I’m not so sure about is the amount of enemy variation, apart from that this map looks absolutely stunning. I do hope it can be our next DE, great video!
RADAUSTIN27 there’s also Blights I’ve seen in other gameplays too. It’s totally fine if you’re using wonder weapons and specialists but when you want to use normal guns you really struggle. That’s a problem if you’re trying to grind camos because it hurts the maps replay-ability and you’ll just be pushed to a map like Classified without all the chaos. Hopefully when the map drops the spawn rates will be fair, and I’m sure even if there are a lot that the rest of the map will still be a blast to play
I still don't understand why people care so much about those perks. We have the OG perks built into other elements of the game. 200 health (jug), repack system (double tap 2.0) and the modifier for each perk includes speed cola. We have those perks built in plus the 4 we can choose. We basically have 7 perks all the time once completely set up. Whats the problem?
WIAMFGB XD - Still dislike how we basically have Jugg at the very beginning of the rounds, making the beginning stages of a game really trivial and boring. I liked that you had to rack up points to open doors/barriers in order to build up to acquire the most vital perk in Zombies(minus some exceptions like Moon, which you can get Jugg at the very beginning, yet still not free.)
@@UnfaithfulServant97 i cannot agree. The zombies are so vicious in BO4 compared to other BO games. You can die easily if you slip up, even on round 4. I played BO4 when classic gave you 150 health. People complained, so they changed it and now people hate it again.
Sitting here waiting to download the map, everybody has been praising the map and I am very hopeful that it will be great. You said yourself that the map looks amazing and I hope that translates well to a very good sound design overall. I would very much love to give this map a shot and it be accessible to a completely blind player like myself so I can easily do a map guide a for others like me. Thank you for this breakdown
i’ve also been to disney’s atlantis and loved the architecture and design there and yeah i’d still love to see an atlantis zombies map maybe next chaos season we’ll get one
Even though I have a lot more interest in the Aether story line I do enjoy history and I can identify several things that Treyarch did get right , Greek Mythology is in my personal top 5 mythologies that are truly Epic , so I'll give it a chance.
What I think would be cool is that after Ancient Evil, in either bo5 or a hypothetical “season 2”, since all 4 trials are completed, the gods will start to speak to their “champions”. Maybe each god will choose a character to speak to like Odin speaks to Bruno and Danu speaks to Diego. Allowing the gods to speak will give a personality to these seemingly omnipotent beings. When the gods speak to the players, they could tell us the backstory of the world and what happened then and now. They could even plant seeds of doubt in the characters and give each one different information making them not trust eachother and question everything. Like “who is right?”, “Is allistair even worth saving?”, “Are his views better than the orders?”, “Are the gods even on our side?” Etc.
it’s so confusing having a map like dead of the night where you have all these ridiculously fast enemies that don’t allow you to take in the beauty that treyarch themselves put into the map
CAMBIE fair enough then bro I was only kidding, personally I find the vampires to be a bit too annoying to deal with especially the crimson ones. Love the general look and feel of the map but for me the vampires suck and it takes far too long to get set up to enjoy it
@@primitivechef8009 up for interpretation i suppose . . . was just hyped for reed getting to go to treyarch. He is the zombies youtuber that i relate most to in opinions and passion for the maps.
Looks like BO4 is doing a WW2 turn around, speaking of which, this map looks and sounds like it'll be the Shadowed Throne AND Frozen Dawn of the Chaos story. Damn it feels good to be excited again.
I am glad we got a real greek map, this looks cool. I love bo4 but this kinda got me missing the old days where loading into a map anything could happen. The perks could randomly drop from the sky, you may have a unique starting weapon, everything the map has is a mystery. I am hoping this brings some intriguing gameplay
A wide open training space is all I wanted. IX has those fire walls that block parts off and Classified is hella dark and has those computers in the paths I can’t emphasize enough how excited I am for this map. This might be the Origins for BO4
@@MrKing-he3eo that's my hopes, even though pass owners aren't gonna like it, I can see it coming. They did it with bo3 and classified also so we'll see
This video is completely bugged for me (no other video on youtube is like this). The video is black and whenever I scroll the site up and down the part right below the video duplicates multiple times in the space where the video is supposed to be. Kinda when you go out of the map in BO3 and you get that weird duplicate effect. The audio is fine though, very strange.
Petition to make the duck whimsical a setting to have for all of Zombies for each map. It would be awesome to see Brutus with a duck floating. Also #remasterdierise
If treyarch changes the zombie spawns (make them like the Bo3 spawns), bring back crawlers and the old perk system and this team could be pretty good, maybe.
I like the map but it's a little too close quarters for me. I like how it's a smaller map similar to IX (my favorite map in BO4) and it doesn't take to long to get decently set up. Don't really care about easter eggs, just completing challenges and leveling up. I probably won't play this as often as IX but it's definitely tied in second place with Classified.
I want to understand something about the complaints people have over the perk system. We have 200 health (juggernog), repack system (double-tap 2.0, which was a PaP within itself) and the modifier for each perk has speed cola built-in. We have all of that, plus tons of new perks. We basically always have 7 perks when completely set-up. What's the real problem here?
We have everything without earning it. You always feel safe. You have awesome weapons, health, and loadouts every game. They all end up being played the same for many players.
@@Radaustin27 okay I understand the final part, because I hardly run any different perks or equipment. Some here and there are different. I still feel like its all earned and I don't feel safe until I'm set up, but that's been the same for me since BO2. Thanks for answering me man. It means a lot. I love you and Johnny
Rad:it’s sad to see Chaos story getting cut short😂 No No get CHAOS out of here! Don’t try and influence them to keep releasing CHAOS MAPS RAD!...I’m waiting for AETHER BABY👊 I don’t give shit about CHAOS.
@@Radaustin27 lol I understand getting early gameplay out but i don't think "Is Ancient Evil the Next Der Eisendrache?" is really what should have been discusseed on what you admitted was like a beta map ygm.
No too many catalyst zombies, whether you like them or not no great map in zombies had special zombies as common zombies almost every round with the exception of Kino.
6:24 Few things that makes me not interested with this Chaos story, The Order who wants to destroy the world? what are their goals? what is it they are trying to achieve? we are four maps in and we don't even know what are they and what they want -we may know in this map- and the characters are so obnoxious for me, i actually hate everything about scarlet, i liked the female characters in WW2, liked misty from victus but god damn is she just unbearable for me, this goes for diego as well, the only character i like is shaw while bruno is in the middle. I don't hate this story but compared to what we are experiencing in the Aether story, where it is reaching its ending after 10+ years of buildup, i just cannot wait for this to be over so i can play and see what happens to my favorite characters ever.
At the beginning of the aether story it was only Nazi experiments, and nobody know what was going on until Moon was released; don't expect answers of these story too soon, just be patient and enjoy the evolution of these new characters and the maps ;)
gabrix2011. It was the nazi experiment true, we had nothing at first in nacht but we enjoyed it because it was the first. Verruckt gave us new system called perks and it was a terrifying map. Shi no numa was another map with more storyline a new gun! and there is this weird meteor?! It was more of a horror experience (remember that radio that talks about a frequency and only said a bunch of numbers) der riese we got to know our protagonists and our enemy, we got a new mechanic which was the tele-porter, and a pap! And we had an easter egg, there are radios everywhere. All I am saying in these four maps we had such an amazing experience + game development that i wish the chaos had to get me hooked. We are 4 maps in ( i think) and we still are doing for gods nows why, the artifacts which we don’t know how it functions, the thing that makes zombies what is made of. That kinda stuff. I liked the step they took in ancient evil but god damn it took then a while. It may be because the game mode was new and our interest was high (at the start of the zombies i mean) but now we got 10+ years of this mode. I like the choas story more now because of AE but its gonna take alot more to keep me hooked, i think it speaks as well with the community. I think it terms of an experience not story-wise, WW2 was one of the best zombies experiences we had. It was really a mix of horror and excitement in terms of game play. They did that well.
I distanced myself from zombies (and COD in general) because I’ve been loving The Division 2. I didn’t care too much about Ancient Evil. However, your video made me a bit more excited about the map. I may play it when it comes out.
I'm glad you got to have a nice trip however I thing is ridicules that Trayach have payed for RU-vidrs to go out there to do this PUT THE MONEY INTO THE GAME TRAYARCH as nice as it is to watch talented RU-vidrs playing there games there opinions are meaningless to the average consumer, let the game speak for its self and put all the funds you can into the game I'm sure the community would appreciate that so much more....
Trust me the money they use on use isn’t even the tip of the budget. When we get a chance to talk about things in the future there are much bigger budget issues. Spending about $20k on youtubers is a joke compared to what they invest in for the game.
I appreciate that in the aspect of the money they spent on the game it's a nats left testical but what benefits do you think this has to the community of zombies and weather they buy the game or not. Cheers for the reply keep up the good work.
@@Ben-xf1ym I had my 3D designer put together a model of the die rise dragon from the maps roof. 3D printing them now and plan to send out at least 10 by the end of the week too Reed
