I remember when Andrewsarchus looked like a glorified wolf with a long snout, and now it looks like a carnivorous hippo, which is definitely even scarier.

I always feel bad for Andrewsarchus rn. I mean, He only appeared in the Walking With Beasts series in which he received a lot of fame, but now, he's dumped in the dumps. Forever lost and underutilized. His upper skull is the only evidence we had.

I wouldn't say that. Ark Survival Evolved has Andrewsarchus as part of a new free DLC map. Granted all the dinos in that game are all genetic mutants of their real world counterparts, but it is getting people to look up the animal outside of the game just to see if it existed or not.

I’d love to see video on other mammals like the deinotherium, Macrauchenia, Unitherium or Sivatherium. For bird suggestions, haast eagle, giant moa or gastornis all come to mind.

I'll never forget seeing this beast, and at the time, Dinohyus in all my prehistoric mammal books as a kid and just being enthralled. Regardless of where it stands on the mammalian family tree, that thing was horrifying and probably terrorized everything in its path. The thought of something as tall as a moose with those teeth is truly a thing of nightmarish proportions. Give it some antlers and you basically have the Wendigo.
