There’s a dairy farm around the Kansas City area that has a variety of milk flavors, including: cotton candy, root beer, cookies and cream, banana, and plenty of others. Some of the best milk I have ever had.
The molasses and milk is what my grandfather had every night before bed! He usually drank it warmed up, but both cold and warm are good. Thank you for the memory. Glad you enjoyed it 😃
So, in my home country (Which is Azerbaijan) we have a thing called doshab (or Pekmez) which is molasses like syrup and most of families consume it with warm milk, that is not only tasty, but also very healthy, especially good against flu or cold. Your gradnpa was definitely a wise man
I thought we were the only people who did this! My grandparents mix cold milk with molasses on a plate and soak their biscuits in it. We usually have it for breakfast along with country ham.
I just checked Danzeisen Dairy in Arizona because they have cool flavors and they have apparently added a cotton candy flavor too. I gotta hunt that down.

When I was a little kid, about 6, my youngest brother was born. The first time I ever held him I said to my mom as we were in the hospital, “Mom, this is better than Super Chocolate Chocolate Milk”. I was passionate about my Chocolate milk.

Link mentioning the best thing about making it yourself is you determine how chocolaty it is. SO TRUE! As much as I love chocolate milk so many diners and restaurants make it too chocolatey for me. I love it being on the lighter side.
As a kid, my mom thought I was so weird when I mixed chocolate syrup and strawberry syrup into my milk to make strawberry chocolate milk. Little did I know my innovation was just ahead of its time 😂

A few years ago, I discovered that when you mix cotton candy gfuel with milk, it actually is really good. Does it dethrone chocolate? No, absolutely not. However, there is nothing gross about cotton candy flavored milk.
The cotton candy milk brought back a memory of where I used to put granulated sugar in my milk. It was delicious as a kid and I had totally forgotten about that.

I was thinking this would be a “Will it Milk.” Then I thought, it’s not because it’s just changing the flavors, so then I thought is it a “Next best thing.” And I’m glad that it is lol.
