I'm not sure about the recent pokemon cards, but i can say for sure that OP4 card quality control have been bad overall so that might have affected the grades
Too harsh? No. They're just run like shit. Incredibly long turn around, non existent customer service, clumsy order process, etc etc. The black label gimmick is the only thing they have going for them. I cant even begin counting the amount of times I've seen hairs in the slabs or dislodged labels. And thats after they take 8 months to slab your cards. Just what are they doing over there.
Why do people pick the longest turnaround service then complain that it takes long to get the cards back? Beckett received my cards 1/29/24 and I got them back 2/14/24..standard service and NOT BASIC LEVEL SERVICE
Did you use the same $18 grading service? I remember you wanted to see if using the higher priced grading service would change the outcome of black labels you received. Appreciate the videos! It’s helping me make a decision on making BGS submissions lol
Yes these are the same $18 services. My experience with BGS lately hasn’t been great. My BL hit rate has been terrible regardless of service. I genuinely think BGS has gotten tougher recently
That Obi-Wan is a 9.5 with 10/10/10/8.5. Have you gotten that particular configuration before? I ask because I have a 10/10/10/8.5 where Beckett gave the overall grade a 9. This card was deficient in centering if that makes a difference.
I can tell from the video the cards centering is not perfect. Its slightly tilted. From the view of the video, charizard top left side is bigger than the top right. Its fine at the bottom but not at the top. BGS isn't harsh. The created the black labels to applaud perfect cards. Your card just isn't perfect. Im sorry to say it but thems the breaks.
