Is Big Rigs Really The Worst Game Of All Time? 

This seems like the kind of game that should come free with a box of cereal.

There is actually a newer version of Big Rigs where "You're Winner!" was changed to "You Win!" Also, the opponents actually race you! Just one problem; The opponents stop just before the finish line. XD

I hear ya. I rented it ages ago & it was probably the first video game I ever played that made me laugh so hard I choked. It's the king of "so bad it's hilarious" for games. Someone managed to make a patch for the game using code from Big Rig's sister game. & while that was cool in of itself, it took away everything that made the game funny.

This doesnt make it not the best game in the world, it just makes it the worst game in the world that is also fun to laugh at. Like how Birdemic or the Room are some of the worst films ever made yet they're fun to watch with friends when you're drunk.

I could write a full on paper defending Big Rigs claiming it is a post-modern masterpiece.

Believe or not, there is actually a videogame that may be worse than this, if you can consider it to even be a videogame. It's called "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties!" and it's on the 3DO.

Right. Big Rigs is crap, but it's definitely not the worst. AVGN calls it the worst and so do a lot of people. But really... Superman 64 will always be the worst. It's garbage, shitty controls, and not fun at all. And you can't win! I mean, sure, you can complete all the missions and "beat" the game, but you can't win. At the end before the credits you're told something like "Congratulations, you managed to save your friends, but in the real world, Lex is still there." Then Lex laughs at you. Then credits roll. What the Hell!!! I wouldn't call that winning by anyone's standards, given all the Hell you had to go through to beat it. Big Rigs where you can't lose and can go into hyperdrive reverse with a max improbability drive and no collision detection? Muuuuuch more fun than flying through rings. I wouldn't even put Big Rigs as 2nd place, or 3rd. Maybe not even 4th. 2nd place is reserved for Desert Bus, which is possibly even less fun than flying through rings but at the very least gives you points. One point per 8 hour drive.... yeah well there's a reason it's number 2. Then, Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde, 3. That really is terrible and hard with a similarly shitty ending even when it does get beaten. Then... maybe... But this game is about on par with Plumbers Don't Wear Ties.

Big Rigs did have effort put into the soundtrack. Unfortunately the programmers didn't bother to make it run in the game.

This is one of "THOSE" games... you know, "so bad it's good." If you can overcome the crashing, and enjoy the game's lack of rules, it might have some form of entertainment value.

It can't be the worst game ever because it clearly isn't finished. If the developers considered it to be a finished game then that is both sad and hilarious at the same time.....a paradox! Arrrgh!

I think it's still a terrible horrible game. The reason why it's so hilarious is because it fails to touch on any logic to how a game should be made. It's still a game, but for me, the reason why I love it so much is because there's no redeeming factor about it. I'd be amazed if anyone could fine one good thing to say about this game. That in itself is why I love playing horrible games.

My opinion on the worst games of all time. Big Rigs: It falls in the category of so bad its fun. Dessert bus: was done on purpose as a parody and it has a cult following of charities and live streams. Crazy bus: isn't even a game, but it was a joke made by student from Brazil. Hong Kong 97: You can play it for free and no physical copies seem to exist. E.T. and pacman on Atari 2600: It is the most damaging game ever made since it was marketed on extreme levels, it destroyed Atari's monopoly on the industry and made the entire industry crash like it was 1929. Little Britain: Its a bad and offensive game, but it was only released Europe and also falls into the so bad its fun category. Ride to hell: it was released in 2013 and is offensive on so many levels. Superman 64: If you lived in 1999 it was like somebody pulled a cruel prank on you so thats what I call a terrible game.

They did make a "functional" version of Big Rigs, called "Midnight Race Club: Supercharged!". And as expected, it was so boring and pointless that it is hardly worth mentioning. Probably the only entertaining thing about it is how the motorbikes have the same hitboxes, light positions and handling as the trucks. Another interesting thing is that you can race with the cars that were in the game files but not normally playable in Big Rigs.

Big rigs is better than the games you've played, true, but not better because it's a better game! Big Rigs itself is actually WORSE as a game because most other games you've played work as intended, however lazy they are. Big Rigs is 'better' because it's a bigger failure in the gaming industry, it's better because it is, in itself, a massive fucking failure.
