Big Sean is top 5 for sure. Him and Wale gotta duke it out for that 🥉 since Cole walked away from it lol. But he’s from the home team (City) so I’ll give him the edge
Idek who Big Sean was until 2010 or so. I only heard about him from my classmates. The first time I recall hearing him was as a feature artist and after that I think the first song of his I heard all the way through was "Blessings". The talent is there so of course I'd consider him as one of the greats. I'd also add Kid Cudi to the conversation. Speaking of, he took his first steps without crutches yesterday so big ups to him on that!
I really enjoy your takes because you are truly unbiased. A lot of people say they aren’t but the more you listen to them you can hear the bias lol. I think in this day of Stan culture unbiased takes are very valuable because it allows people to consider both sides of the coin. I think you should expand more on your POV as well. In other words slightly longer video. Keep it up. New subscriber!
Of course Big Sean is one of the greats. I think this imaginary "big 3" has washed the idea of anyone else in this era being great besides Kendrick, Drake, and Cole. So many artists get discredited like Sean and Wale and their accomplishments and music diminished. It's unfortunate but we have so many greats from this era that probably don't get their proper flowers.
i think big sean is one of those artists that has his own space where hes not one of the greats like the big 3 (now big 1) but when you take him out the equation and see all that would be missed if he never made music then u'd make an argument that he does have a great position. possibly legendary. also to be fair alot of folks stole his flow everytime he came up w a new one so theres an argument.
idk. im kinda undecided. one day I hear a record from Big Sean and think wow he’s def one of those guys but then i’ll hear another record thats super corny
its finna get shaky in LA for Drake & OVO. security can not stop the blitz. Drake inciting a America vs Canada typa thing. Everyone not taking to the whole “scared of the 6 narrative”
Drake is the biggest hip hop star to come from here, but he doesn't run the country. Schoolboy Q performed in Calgary just the week before. It was more about Drake's pull with that venue if anything.
BIG SEAN HAS A LOT OF WORK TO DO IF HE WANTS TO BE IN THE BIG 3... ALL HE NEEDS IS A TIME MACHINE AND 12 GHOST WRITERS A GENIE AND A HALO NOTHING TOO CRAZY🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
IM SORRY I HAVE TO SAY IT...EVERYONE SAYING SEAN IS NOT TOP 5??? I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHO IS YA #1 TRAVIS SCOTT?? LOL HE HAS BARS LIKE REAL GOLDEN AGE OF HIP HOP BARS YALL SEAN HATERS DO NOT UNDERSTAND HIP HOP AT ALL IF YOU CANT UNDERSTAND THAT. SOME OF YALL HEARD DRAKE TRAVIS SCOTT AND MIGOS SO LONG THAT REAL BARS SOUND LIKE TRASH TO YALL. IF YOU SAY BIG SEAN IS NOT GREAT THEN SAY BIGGIE AND PAC WAS TRASH THEN HOW YALL LIKE J.COLE BUT NOT BIG SEAN???? WHERES THE SENSE? im only replying to real lovers of bars etc rest of yall go play yall travis scott albums in the corner
Big Sean is NOT one of the greats. He had great potential but his output does not live up to it. He got bars. He got flow. Picks decent beats but his songs are generally very corny.
@@RobCorneliusnohr yeah id say pre Dark Sky Paradise his albums were average if not below, but since that I’ve liked em esp that and Detroit 2, and as far as mixtapes go they’re all good to great (detorit 1 is classic imo)
Potentially. And in his prime it was VERY arguable. But great means TOP 10. IMHO. so if you’re not pac big em jayz nas Wayne dmx rakim kanye drake 50 cent level, then no you are not GREAT
PLEASE don't go back to that jay Hill dude. U don't need him. He's TERRIBLE, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but all of his talking points are str8 TRASH!
I respect Big Sean but he’s not one of the greats. I compare him to Paul George in basketball…all star player and on any given day can give anybody problems but not top 5.
