David Fifita is a must pick, must be personal. Even if he doesn't want him as a starter he'd have impact off the bench... what does Kaufusi offer off the bench?
For everyone that saying Fifita should be picked. Defence win games as much as attack. He tends to get lazy a little in defence which is risky to take a player like him into origin. He needs to pick up his game in that area. Stop trying to thibk youse know better than the coaches and experts. Stop listening to the media and just watch and learn
How can you win games when you’re just depending on defending your try line. You need to be able to score points which is just as important . Can’t win games if your not scoring’s points
The crowd, the blues wont be able to buy a penalty and the toads get bigger and stronger at lang park. I hope NSW win but it will be close to a miracle if they do.
Ok Billy made his call. Capewell your bloody. Smith had to back Billy. But Fifita is a match winner. Takes 3 at least to stop him creating space. Everyone was calling for Fifita except Billy

Everyone, is not the coach or the selectors. Stop listening to NSW, history shows they are more times the losers to Qld, they do it every time they think their arrogance will win them the shield. Let them have their bonding session at the "beach". The score last time was not 38 nil, the score was 38 to 18. We lost but we also ran out of time. You can't win every match. Don't panic, all we can do from the sideline is trust Billy and the selectors. Go the Maroons
To say Slater is under pressure is just ludicrous. He’s literally won every series he’s coached. He & the maroons will come through for QLD in the decider
With fifita in, if QLD win or lose, slater will get a pass card. Without fifita, if QLD loses, slater will get hammered Have to give Slater credit for sticking with his intuition
I support qld but be won’t the first game having an extra man for 70mins then lost second game…so will Billie’s pick get us the win….playing moe of the bench is crazy he is a grinder work horse not a burst impact player
I disagree that everyone is calling for Fifita. I'm not. QLD need aggressive high work rate defence. That is NOT Fifita. Qld have game breaking attack in abundance, they don't need just more of that. They need to be able to keep posession and gain possession of the ball and from there you get field posession.
@youtubeenthussiast328 with respect, no they did not do that last game. There was little intensity in defence. And Fifita does not give you that. It is a mindset thing which is why NSW worked in the first half when they were playing for their lives and series but did not do anything like as much 2nd half when the match was won despite QLD being exhausted from all the defence.

Ponga was selected to open up opportunities for Qld. Once that happens DC will have his kicking game,Harry, and Walsh will then follow. I expect Dane will have a good game. I will be watching the forwards.

I personally think Fifita was up for this game and was getting ready to go! He can be unreliable, however this was the game to put him in because he seems fired up and wants to represent. Hopefully this doesn't break him and he doesn't even try next year😉
If I'm a NSW forward I'm loving the team that Billy put out; hey Billy, let's put in Billy clones, squeeze them in; but if I'm a QLD forward, I'm totally pissed with Billy; hey Billy, I have to work twice as hard as my NSW counterpart especially when wrecking balls Lenui and Barnett come on; hey Billy, you're a bloody back selecting a game won in the forwards. Back flipping on chooks and nearly walked out of the Queensland team while still on huge titans deal. He did it on broncos and now on the titans he shows up for money n fave. Not a queensland like beatitude he doesn't deserve to be selected. State is for queensland players. Not Fifita when he's a lazy bum at times. He's lazy, defensively and attack wise...
It's all good and well saying Fifita has had consistency issues in the past but he's in career best form in 2024 and Capewell has been poor for the Warriors - he's a penalty magnet and he looks like he's running on tired legs. I'm not convinced Nanai is an Origin player either, Fifita provides that mongrel and presence whereas Nanai seems too nice and easygoing.
Capewell is kinda slow but solid with some grunt. He can make plays and be in there with combinations and support. There are times he can slack but its really a risky one especially for game 3 decider but my gut is going with Billy's call. Will just have to wait and see.
Grant didn’t play since State of Origin Game 2. Walsh didn’t play any game since Game 1 and got into Game 2 and let’s be honest looked rusty. We can’t make that mistake again. Decision should be made early and put Reed as the 14 and just concentrate on building a plan for him.
Fafita isn’t that great to inconsistent but Billy’s got a game plan it’s not just having an outside back on the bench can garentee this games gonna be close but if Walsh and ponga create that pairing they will be dangerous but it’s gonna be close all will down to the ref too many inconsistent calls refs need to put the whistle down and let the game play out but gonna be a very fiery game
@@Plugitinbby100%, I said the same thing at the time. Billy watches habits, there’s the reason Fifita isn’t in the team. In any case, you have to have the ball for his ability to be of any use. He wouldn’t have helped in game 2.
I believe cos David was gonna go to Roosters Billy not picking him i believe if David was in Melbourne Storm or going there David's name in the squad automatically
This QLD loyalty thing will bite us back eventually, poor form, confidence and injury niggles should take preference. Walsh and Grant should've been dropped, Dearden will likely share 5/8th with Ponga but Cotter gotta be benched with Foutuaiki starting.
