Knee press should definitely be gated behind a charge, idk what they were thinking. Move is designed to be a charge, now you can walk forward and throw it out and the only downside is that it’s literally 1 or 2 frames more negative on block than usual
They knew it wasnt a charge move in this game... The idea that they can't rebalanced a move to work with motions is not realistic to me... You can say they missed the mark but the idea that it's simply gotta be a charge move doesn't make sense to me. Give it less push back or more recovery frames if it's a problem. We'll see.
@@jpVari well we are not in disagreement, to be fully clear it should be gated behind a charge with the way it currently functions. to elaborate, the scissor kick functions almost identical to how a typical m bison scissor kick works and the tradeoff of being a couple frames more negative than the classic legacy scissor kick for being able to throw it out while walking forward and not have to commit to preparing a charge seems pretty nuts to me. and I'm a bison enjoyer and having crazy fun with this, so believe me i'm not just negative complaining about it, I just think for the massive implication of no longer gating a move behind a charge i'm very surprised how little they've retooled the way the move works. if you have any legacy skill of knowing how to perfectly place those scissor kicks on the tip at the right times the move seems insane giga strong to me.
The knee press isnt an issue than needs to be behind a charge. Every character can punish it ez with DI if they spam. BUT they shouldnt have so much pushback on it, so its more punishable
playing bison now. Im a bit confused why people are angry with this when ken has +1 on block dragon lash and if it hits it converts into tons of damage and oki and corner carry and the jinrai loop plus low forward getting buffed. akuma does alot of damage too and practically anything he does is a frame trap. he confirms with HK from a mile away and then he gets oki from everything too. i feel like capcom wants to balance the game by making everyone OP tbh. but yeah bisons damage def needs to be tuned down. the scaling looks wrong to me.
It feels very weird that Light Psycho Crusher has slower startup than Heavy Psycho in SF4. Also his Slide Sweep being only on Down Forward while Dhalsim can use Down and Down Forward is not cool. Not what I wanted from M. Bison but I'm glad people are enjoying him.
personally, so far, i think he's too strong. It's annoying af to fight him. His jabs reach far, are fast, and all his moves seem to be plus on block. He easily steals turns cause all his attacks seem to have no negative frames and his range is crazy. The hit boxes on his attacks seem to activate instantly. So he wins what should be trades. But just turns out to be bison winning by appearing to press jab first. Oh and his throw comes out fast af and has ridiculous range.
I see you reuploading James >.> anyways imma just go ahead and reinstate that im glad Bipson is strong out the gate. Much better than characters like Aki and Ed on launch. Plus hes a legacy boss just like Akuma
Yeah, I uploaded the video and I forgot to fix some editing. So I uploaded a second copy with everything fixed, but accidentally made the OLD version public. So I had to delete the old version and make the NEW version public. Content creation as a job sucks. LOL!
@@UltraChenTV Yeah man editing your own videos is no joke. It's why most people who make a good chunk of money has a team of editors. When you're the low man on the totem pole you don't get that luxury. I appreciate the effort though man, been watching all your vids for the past year and will continue to do so as long as your pumping stuff put 👍
@@watchmesquatch James making chump change for content creation and commentating street fighter and tetris for passion is not a bad thing. He's not complaining either he's just being realistic. I doubt you've edited much content yourself. Hell Ernesto from buttoncheck who reports on fgc news basically hasn't played street fighter 6 because he's stuck editing and grinding out videos.
But if a bomb is planted and you hold down and back to block when it detonates from its timeout I don’t think you lose any life. Maybe a little bit of gauge but that’s it.
Still a control mechanism…..what I don’t get is the crazy walk speeds on top of damage and the moves available with Akuma and bison. Couldn’t they have them at least walk slower?
Bison looks strong. I saw MDZ Jimmy get Master with him easily in just an hour or two. The funny thing is when I face Bison, and I've faced probably 30+ of them, I steamroll him horribly bad. I don't know how that makes any sense.
I'm trying to find ways to be okay... He's not like Blanka because he can't combo off throw. The way out of bomb pressure is just blocking. If they focused a combo on the bomb and then follow up with only a grab he's not in some amazing position. The kicks are annoying but they don't do a lot of drive damage. James said it puts you in mixup after the kicks but I'm pretty sure they're negative so I gotta re-watch that part. If he's too strong they'll fix him, just like they just nerfed Akuma.
Oh yeah, there are a decent amount of Masters with Modern. They definitely take up a minority amongst the Master Ranked players, but they're there. Buckler's Boot Camp shows that at least 22 of the 23 characters have some Modern representation in Master. But they don't list the quantity nor percentage of Master players who use that control type and character.
he counters everything(his psychocrusher and super 2 counter rashid super 2 on reaction, reminder rashid gonna get punished if he super 2 a burnout bison with 2 super bar)
@@watchmesquatch git gud? I personally hated how season 1 sf6 played. Now that I'm having fun with one of my characters people are big mad. Tbh Akuma is worse because he has every single tool you could think of. Bison has huge weaknesses like 0 proper reversal out of level 1 or wake up drive reversal.
I mean... its a 2 step process for Bison to get that big damage. I've been observing the other players and the successful ones tend to know when to fish for mine detonation using OD but they don't force it. Once the chance to detonate the mine is up (using OD detonators), they tend to let the mine explode on its own. And use that advantage to get a hit & do a classic drive rush meter dump ending with a level 3 to close the game. It's hard to tell whether he's strong or not because plus frames are still plus frames. But at the same time, not having a proper reversal outside of supers makes him weak on defense.
What do you mean 'using od detonator'? Idk why you're implying it's something that takes such a keen eye. You plant the bomb, try to get a hit. If you don't you enjoy plus frames, if you do you get loads of damage. He gets very big reward for that first hit, he just also does a little less damage. Now, he can plant off lights... Everyone does low dmg off lights, we don't all get a huge advantage as followup you know? Not really sure what your explanation even really meant tbh.
Bison is broken, fun, but way broken. He has dumbness of s1 Honda but with way better tools and insane damage. With reversals, he'll be much better than s1 Luke.
Why are you feeding these gremlins? The character has not been out for a week. You wanna speculate about his strength go for it but maybe wait until counterplay develops? These things take time. I would expect this sensationalism from a zoomer not from the old guard.
I hope you watched the video. I spent a lot of time talking about how Bison could definitely be overrated and talked about counter play and we labbed ways to battle his mixups etc. It’s only the title and the thumbnail, but that’s just RU-vid culture and I can’t do anything about that, sadly. You can try to take the high road on RU-vid and do normal thumbnails and very factual titles but then you get 0 views. :-( And when views = $$$, a content creator’s gotta do what they’ve gotta do, unfortunately. If my channel grows large enough that I no longer need the crazy thumbnails and such, I’ll be a very happy man. But for now, this is where we’re at because these things are proven to get you more views. Blame the internet. Hahaha!
You're being silly lol. He's hitting combo damage we haven't seen almost ever before... Of course James would talk about it. And he's doing so fairly, not sensationally.
I mean he's a new character people need to adapt to his gameplay and quit crying over other characters too instead of complaining and whining about just get better and level up too many gamers cry and complain a lot it's annoying
I think capcom should experiment with making sf6 three rounds to win because with this level of damage, it'd give players more time to adjust to the playstyles of their opponent and their characters. It would also make manon much better (we all know she could use a bit of help, but she's a tough one to balance).
