Great review. Perfect timing, I was looking at refrigerators for my fishing trips. You are right on target discussing the ice cooler. I’m going to purchase one in a few days. Thanks for helping me with my decision. Oh, I was a Boy Scout leader as well. My son is an Eagle Scout and I had the pleasure of leading several scouts on their journey to becoming an Eagle. Like you, I love the outdoors. Be well my friend.
That is awesome to hear! And it's a good thing you are sending your son as well. I did learn a lot to survive not only in the outdoors but everyday life too. Dealing with problems and solving them and so on. And if you are going to purchase one, make sure to use my discount code ChasingADV for 26% off. Not much, but still better than nothing. Thanks for your support and hope you enjoy it~
Great review. I also love mine. And another pro of a portable fridge is I can pack it the previous day, put it in the car plugged in with an extension cord, and early morning, I can just unplug, switch it to DC and go. Cheers
the low height is what i need, my trunk isnt deep enough for most other models. this thing is gonna pay for itself in meals on the go i wont have to buy anymore. also my meals will be way more healthy than what you can find on the road! thanks for reviewing it!
Good to know! Is it too big to place on the floor behind the passenger seat? Nice to see a fridge that has a compartment for the battery pack. Side note- I see you have some side awnings attached to your slim shady…. Can you send a link? I’ve got the 6ft x 6ft as well and looking for some added protection for the sides. Appreciate it!
Hi Brian, Yes it is little to big to be placed on the floor but you can put it on the seat. it is very convenient and I think I will be using only this on my solo trips. here is the link for the tarp amzn.to/3xsB12c and I used these amzn.to/3XBAOnZ to hold it in place but it was slightly too long.. you will see it on out next weeks video.
Will that fit in the rear floorboard behind the passenger seat? I went with the Iceco go20 because it was the only one at the time that fit there, but could be tempted to switch pending this one’s power consumption.
I haven't tried it but I think it is slightly too big for the floor.. power consumption is pretty good. I had it on 33 degrees when it lasted almost two days and on my last trip, I had it at 27 degrees and out directly on the sun and it went full day without a problem. you will see it on our next weeks video. also if you plan to purchase on, use my code ChasingADV for 26% off. altho its only valid till july 19th..
Where’s pepper? I have used their 59l dual zone for several seasons now and can vouch for its ruggedness. I use a pair of small form factor lifepo4 batteries and can leave it at a trailhead for a full 5-day backpacking loop.
Good review, thanks! Question for you, does it appear to be of good quality? The reason I ask is that I went to their website and looked over some of their bundles. Seems like they are offering some nice gear for a somewhat affordable price. I am getting that “too good to be true “ vibes. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks and I enjoy your channel much! 🙏🏻🙂
Thanks! So far seems like it. They've been around for a while but people are noticing it more now because of the value. I am planning to purchase more of their stuff after how well this refrigerator is made. And if you are going to purchase one, use my discount code ChasingADV for 26% off but it's only valid till July 19th..
After I commented on your video last night, I went on bouge’s website and they said that that battery only last for six hours in the fridge. Am I looking at the wrong thing?
It will only last 6 hours if the refrigerator is running constantly for 6 hours. But as you know, once it reaches set temperature, it shuts off so it will definitely last more than 6 hours.
@ChasingAdventuresCO plugged it in and it didn't get cold. I could feel the compressor running but no cold. They gave me back my money. I was looking forward to cold drinks
