Love your swag and raw personality. Have you tried Hanks Franks in NJ?? I live in Oregon State and one day will visit NJ..You earned a subscriber!! Word is Bond! Keep shining!
Matt, thank you. I suffered a stroke almost 2, years ago and was forced out of a job I enjoyed on disability. I live a very lonely life now and found your videos- if nobody told you they love you you’re hanging with the wrong people! I don’t hang with anyone anymore! Thanks again
Matt. Thanks for the shout-out. Glad you enjoyed it. Another Hudson County gem, Dos Amigos in West New York. Bergenline/53rd. Known for Cuban/Latino steak sandwiches. Nothing else. Just Latino flavored steak sandwiches that have onions and fries embedded. Story goes, the owners won the lottery and their dream was to open up this joint. For drinks, they serve Latino fruit smoothies. Good job on the videos. Also, R.I.P. to your daughter. I, too, lost a child. May you find peace my brother.
Who doesn't lick the mustard off their hand? I paid for it, I'm gonna eat it. When I'm down the shore, even the sand doesn't matter. I dropped it, and as long as it isn't nasty, why not?
@@MattDV never!!! Unless it’s an Italian hot dog with potato’s and then the ketchup is on top with the potatoes and mustard on the bottom with the hot dog!!!🤣🤣🤣
nice to see this place is still thriving. Lived 2 blocks away from there in the late80s early 90s. IMO still the best hotdog I ever eaten. Use to be a really good pizza place across the street in the back alleys by journal square at that time by the bus terminals but with all the renovations through the years it went out of business.
@MattDV just found out the pizzeria still in business actually 3 guys from Italy just moved into the boulevard and stadium pizza still standing in route 440 both businesses were there in the 80s still going strong.
In this video I remember some time ago that I was in the city and I just happened to see Nathan hotdogs and they wanted 3.00 for 1 and you also have sabreth which are not cheap so passed on them so I went to the supermarket and bought a bag of 8 for 2.00 and I made my own chili and made a chili hotdogs and they go good with French fries or potato salad with a soda great fills me up good good snack but I also like sausage beef or pork with chili hot sauce and onions or sauerkraut and Dijon mustard but no red cabbage and it's good any time of the year or I will make a hot soup no salad but hits the spot or I will make some vegetable fried rice chili and the sausages good meal and very healthy
Looked like a classic design in that restaurant. A birdie told me someone used to work in Windsor. There is a legendary Hot Dog place in Detroit that looks very similar to that called Lafayette Coney Island. Did you ever have a chance to hit that joint up? Or were you not allowed to cross the river? lol
Oh ok, there seems to be so much history here. I bet 8 million stories going through the alley alone. Thanks for sharing yours Bonex. Also thank you for staying tuned my friend.
What’s going on Matt. Hope all is well with you. I stumbled upon a joint in east orange on central Ave called Golden Wings. The wings are delicious man. All fresh
It's a treat to eat once in a while. The sweet onions and I love the chili 🌶️, now that I'm older I just like mustard .I like the snap on the dogs that got the skin casing mmmm good 😋
I love your channel. I'm also sorry about the passing of your daughter. I like the way that you are carrying on. She would want that. I know that my daughter would want me to carry on as per the usual as well. It's an honor and an homage to carry on in a loved ones absence. I also think that you are ex military and thank you for your service. I'm a food connoisseur as well. There's nothing like a "mom and pop" joint that serves up good food or a joint that's deep in the hood serving up good "ish".
Boy Matt, I really loved the feel of this video. Very groovy, and artistic, and a nice walk down memory Lane. Your editing was excellent, and the juice business felt like I was back in 1973 again. Great video, and delicious content. Interaction with people was fun but not too much! Just loved the background music, and the tunes matched the flow of the video! One of your best Efforts ever….❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Happy New Year 🎉
Yo!!! Is it me, or does the guy behind the counter taking orders sounds just like John Belushi from the Saturday Night Liverpool sketch ( Chee burger chee burger chee burger)!!!!! ✌🏾
Hii now you’re in my neck my the woods b drinks has been there in jc chill town usa gap for years decades I was born and raised in jc and my man got it wrong it’s called the Lowe’s theater just like how it’s spelled also they forgot to mention the state theater and the Stanley’s theatre as well
👁 👁 👄 This brings me back to hanging out in Washington Square Park coming out the 9th street Path 🚇Papaya King was on the corner of 8th street 2 hotdogs 🌭 🌭and a drinks 🥤$2.50 👉🏽1989😂🤣🤣🤣
@@MattDV Happy Ne Year. I have to admit the hotdogs looked good. You made me think about getting fresh turkey or chicken sausage with the works. I don't eat hotdogs anymore. I don't ever remember having cheese on my hotdog. I am a late subscriber. I use to go to Top's Diner, East Newark, NJ with my family. Thank you commenting back, I enjoy your videos. I wish you much success. Take care and be safe.
I love a good hot dog. My ex and I would make dates to go get a hot dog. We both made money, so it wasn’t a cheap date, it was a “ let’s go eat a dog and enjoy each other” date. The BEST dates.
Those hotdogs are like Papaya Dog and Papaya King in NYC. I used to get them with mustard, onions and sauerkraut. Always with a papaya drink. That owner got that sense of humor like a piece of overdone toast. DRY.
👁 👁 👄 We use to hit Papaya King on our way to Washington Square Park🌳 back in the day 1989 coming out of the 9th Street Path Subway 🚇( it was on the corner of 8th street) those hot dog 🌭 use to be bussin 😋😋😋
Glizzie : A Glock, not a hot dog. But I'm older. At least he didn't say, "Look away." They're just hot dogs, not homo-erotic metaphors. Hmm, what do you put on a metaphor?
That hotdog was bangin like a GAT (gatling gun). :-) I had to throw my simile in there. I think that was a simile. LOL I appreciate you, thanks. @@argonwheatbelly637
