Bronze seduction was my first mothership that I got almost 4 years ago. I love love love it. I prefer cooler colour stories now but this palette has some of the best special shades
I’m LOVING these types of videos! Love the way you compare brush bristle selection based on formula, love the long form content, love visiting older (more interesting tbh) palettes. I didn’t experience these releases live as I got into eyeshadow during the pandemic, but I’ve been finding I’ve been filling in my collection with older releases from Natasha and Pat as they’ve restocked instead of having interest in some of the newer formulas/color stories available right now. Your channel is an awesome resource and just totally chill vibes, so thank you😊
Bronze Seduction is the Holy Grail! YES IT IS! I panned about 6 shades in this palette- when I say panned I don't mean a dot of pan I mean scraping the sides.. destroyed to the point where I feel that I could really buy a replacement- Every time I word Bronze seduction .. compliments for ever! Even when I go into Sephora.. all the employees are like "you're wearing Pat McGrath right?"!!! YAYASS LOVE I AM!!
i was definitely one of those people sucked in by Bronze Seductuion, and i do agree, that was probably the peack of golden age for PML. i actually think the first Mothership was the most iconic - we have never seen anything like it in the main stream makeup (im specifically thinking of the blitz astral shades), and people went nuts for the cool tone pallette after years of warm tone being pushed on us.
I don’t even have this palette but just enjoy watching your process. I also GREATLY appreciate your use of makeup that you already own. Thanks for all that you do!
Such amazing timing! I just ordered Bronze Seduction yesterday. I stacked an Ulta 20% coupon and $60 in points and got it for $47. Whoot! Now, Ulta has the most awful reputation for horrible packing and breakage, so my fingers are triple crossed for this palette. My mouth dropped open when you showed it in the lavender case! Gah! I never saw that before! So beautiful! Lately, I suddenly became determined to complete my Motherships. Still need to get Decadence, but it's been OOS for a long time ... I hope it's coming back!!😟😟 I can wait a while to get Sunlit Seduction because ... well, we know ... but I am going to get it eventually, and then I'll be complete!
When I got Bronze Seduction last year, I gasped and quickly played with the palette for an entire week. It’s such a good everyday palette for richer skin tones with more variety than the monochromatic palettes as of late.
As someone who was starting out makeup years ago. That was my first mothership and I remember the thrill I got purchasing it in sephora. Despite the hard to blend mattes (for an unexperienced me back then) her brand was the start of my glitter and PMG obsession and where I'm known for my glitter eyeshadow looks i tend to use at the hospital as a nurse lol. This was where I found your and a few of my other favs channels. I have always loved your looks and now that I'm years in with experience and love for makeup I've found the time for lighter makeup looks. I miss the older days of PMG releases though. Regardless this mothership will always carry a special role in my makeup journey❤ thanks Alicia! The irony as I was planning to use it tomorrow with velvet laison😅
Ahhhh! Alicia! I just want to take a moment to acknowledge and be grateful for your creativity, passion, history and overall knowledge of the products you choose (I might argue curate) for us. I am loving these revisit videos. I’m continuously inspired by your looks and I love to replay old videos while I work! I’d love to see a revisit to the Byredo Remembrance pallet. I LOVED your looks, and you are THE reason I purchased that pallet and now Midnight sun (and will be replaying those videos nonstop 😅), I will also now be saving for V & IX
Thank you so much!! I wouldn’t mind diving back into Byredo 🙆🏽♀️ It’s one of my favorite releases this year, and I need to hold myself back with combining all the colors.
Love these videos, they make my PML palettes feel new again - and it’s funny bc I initially wanted to buy one of the new palettes solely for the iridescent green shade … this video reminds me that I already have her most beauty ethereal baked green
Thank you for the Bronze Seduction inspiration! It was my first Mothership, because I could not decide, but Mel said it was her fave. ❤ But I am light/medium and it can be tricky to use. By the way, Midnight Sun is my all time fave as well. 😍
I feel as though the first wave of motherships (the trio) started a conversation about the brand. However, Bronze Seduction is the moment where most of us (consumers) bit the bullet and grabbed it up! The brand became even more attractive to me because I felt like I could actually create great looks with mothership V. The first 3 were extremely challenging for me because I didn’t understand her brand and how I could fit but now, I love Subliminal and Subversive!
I hope these videos do well for you in the algorithm cause I’d love to watch a series based on the history of iconic makeup products and then demos, why they were iconic.. I know you have extensive knowledge on PML but if u wanted to expand I’ll be first to watch hehe 😅 I love this concept overall, it just brings older products back to life ❤
I have so many indie multichromes and special sparkly shadows that I love from like Clionadh, Terra Moons, Shine by SD, Bella Beauté Bar, MBA Cosmetics, etc. so it would be hard for me to want to buy one of these, but if I ever do finally bite the bullet on a PMG palette, it would 100% be Bronze Seduction. It looks so stunning! It’s definitely my favorite color story she’s done. Thank you for sharing! Loved this video ❤
I think PML became a guilty pleasure for me after Divine Rose II. The newness and innovation and the artistry had faded and the expense and quality were all that remained. Thank you for revisiting this palette. It brings back the excitement. Your application tips are always welcome too.
Of the 9 Motherships I have, Bronze Seduction ranks towards the bottom (although I love the Fire Opal and rose gold shades). I struggle with feeling inspired to use it. Gilty Pleasure and Bronze Blaze are duds > formula-wise. It's a fan favorite but not for me. Soooo, I'm here for inspiration - as I know Alicia BRINGS IT!!! *Now, back to focusing in on the 'show'*
I know most people have a warm undertone, but as someone with a cool undertone, MTSP 1 STILL has me heart to date. Always appreciate your knowledge and insight Alicia 🤗💕
Some wonderful looks here, you make it look so easy! And I could listen to you talk about PMcG’s palettes all day, you give us such a fascinating insight into the shades in each one. Looking forward to the next one! xx
I understand why a makeup company would cater to the masses and give them what most of them want (pink neutrals here). But the minority that likes a midnight sun for example, they really love it, so I think there should be something for those customers too, maybe make a smaller inventory of products or something. It’s always a shame when something disappears just because fewer people like it, those few may in fact love it.
Yeah I didn’t realize how unpopular earth tones are. I was hoping Sunlit Seduction would’ve been Midnight Sun 2.0, but we shall see what the brand creates next!
That palette looks gorgeous on B you! I really love your in depth videos! Your use of words to describe and appreciate shutting from brushes to individual shades of just do delightfully, entertaining, informative and professional! Obsessed!!
Loved the video!! I really like how much info you give us. And how you explain the info. Great videos!. ETA- I love all the looks. You are so talented. You get me excited to pull out my Pat palettes. I love it!
Bronze Seduction was my first, Midnight Sun, then Divine Rose II, and the holiday motherships - love them all. Been considering Divine Rose I. Your videos always give me new ideas for looks. Makes me think the palettes are worth the investment. I think the appeal of Bronze Seduction is that you can get more everyday looks with the matte shades.
My mind, my soul, my body - whats happening?! Totally agree with you on this palette, it is my time to shine palette, i took it out for weddings several times. Thanks for high quality content here❤❤❤
If Alicia Archer does not have the most gorgeous eyebrows on earth, I do not know who does. They are perfection. ❤ I can only wish mine were a tad like hers 😂
I feel like her first 3 motherships were iconic because they established her brand as a more complete line, rather than just being known for her lipsticks. I think bronze seduction and divine rose 1 were the start of of the golden age that brought the brand more mainstream with the allure awards and large Sephora displays
I was already a fan and collector when this came out. The way Entrapment kicked my ass. I went into the office with a smokier and sparklier eye than intended, on top of my less than great blending skills.. every time. 😂😂😂😂 it was a fun time. (Looking absolutely nuts) 🎪
I love Bronze Seduction out of all the motherships, this one is my favorite. But my Holy Grail-Best of All Time is still Urban Decay - Born To Run Palette. 💝 has everything you need!!!
Great demonstrations! I love your creativity when combining the shades. You always give me lots of inspiration. This mothership was my very first Dame PMG palette, so it will always be very special. Thanks for reminding me to use it.
#sparkleeveryday 100%! I did a matte brown look recently and had to compensate with purple highlighter. My students look forward to see what colors I’ll play with and even put in requests 😅 I’m so busy, I’ve had to put my paints away and haven’t even gone out to take photos in, what feels like, ages, but playing with makeup every morning helps to keep me sane. 💛
Bronze seduction was my first pat mcgrath palette I splurged on and it's by far my favorite. When I want that sparkly arkly on myself and my clients I pull out those Astral shades, phenomenal
What?? Terrible blending skills?? You?? O never! NEVER!!!!? No not you. You’ve got awesome blending skills and watching your videos and listening to you is like a Cyclopedia being read back to me. Yep, a beauty encyclopedia how to book. Love your videos love the explanation on everything. Thank you so so much you educate us all on such a deep level. Seriously. Thank you.
❤ You inspired me to pull this one out again to try Blitz Flame with Rose Gold 005. I usually only use Blitz Flame around holiday/Christmas time but now I feel like you made it approachable. ❤️🎉
I think Bronze seduction put Pat on the map for the masses. I think the existence of two browns made it appear more approachable than 1-4. Plus warm tones were all the rage at the time a la Modern Renaissance. I think people were then blown away by the texture and features of the special shades. I agree that the deepness of the mattes require some deliberate usage/placements. I love it just to stare at the twinkles and amazing transforming shades. It’s also good Halloween dramatic makeup!
I don’t have this palette yet and I’m not sure why I haven’t gotten it! I’m a late bloomer on the Pat palettes, I’ve just started using them in like the last 2 years or so. Midnight Sun was my first because I got it on sale. Then I got I, II, and III in a set for cheap! Huetopian dream is the only one I paid almost full price on. I just recently broke down and got the divine rose I. Kind of wishing I had gotten II instead. Thank you for revisiting these palettes! It definitely sparks excitement to use them again!
Bronze Seduction was my first Mothership, and it's the only one I've ever given away. I hung on to it longer than I would have otherwise if not for Extreme Aubergine, Rose Gold, and Blitz Flame. I've heard the two bronzey shades have been reformulated since then, which is good because the ones in mine were unusable. I still have six Motherships (1, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10) and haven't had those issues, and I love them ridiculously. Edited to add: Bronze Blaze in the mini is reformulated and is everything it should be.
So I had to stop the vidgeo right b4 the demos to tell u a quick story … I LITERALLY CRIED OVER BRONZE SEDUCTION 😢😂😩😭😭 true story !! I was soooo obsessed with decadence & subversive that when I thought I would miss out on Bronze Seduction (& I thought it was LE) I cried to my partner !! She was shocked lol 😅 to say the least 😂 but it was at THAT moment both of us realized my OBSESSION for makeup & Mother Pat’s MS’s palettes 😂 ps … I’m not the only one that’s cried over PMG (Patty) who we all love cried over a quad !! 😂 ugh I love her & all of us makeup obsessed !!! ❤ kk now back to the rest of the vidgeo 😅😊🤓🙌💃🏻🤣
Bronze seduction isn’t the MOST iconic to me but it is iconic in my opinion. Bronze seduction was the palette that got me into Pat because it is more everyday. She got me hooked!
Love your content & hearing your opinion on PML in that you’re so obviously passionate about & I also respect your opinion on the direction that brand is heading in. Btw, is Bronze Seduction in the STUNNING lavender case for sale somewhere for purchase?! I didn’t see it linked….thanks!! 😊❤
I watched sooo many PM eyeshadow palette reviews (some of yours being the most watched). Bronze Seduction is definitely my favourite too, it brings the basics and the drama all in one go. My 2nd fave is Divine Rose II. And i agree, after that palette nothing really ever came close to my personal faves. Huetopian Dream is kinda cute, but I can wait until it's like 1/2 off... that's how much I got Bronze Seduction for.
I love all my palettes, but i do have favourites. Especially when i think people are sleeping on them or don't trust Mother. My skin colour is medium deep so its DR1 for every day cool pink neutral looks all the way - Velouria looks gorgeouson me. And you'll be prising Fleur Fantasia out of my cold dead fingers - eyes, cheeks and lips, so beautiful! But DR2 and the Celestial Divinity MTHRSHP are my favourite big palettes.
I skipped bronze seduction... Weird right? It is a beautiful palette and I had my eye on it forever... until ND Bronze palette launched and I said, Nope... I don't need both. ND's bronze palette hit that grungy steampunk glam tarnished dirty bronze story that just suits my vibe. I don't regret it.
I bought Bronze Seduction with my Sephora Rouge points. Bronze Blaze and Gilty Pleasure were so deeply disappointing that I thought it HAD to be a faulty palette. I exchanged for ND Metropolis. Great palette, no disappointments. I then repurchased Bronze Seduction in a 30% sale on her site hoping it was a better “batch”. Those specific shades did work better and I kept it but I realized after watching one of your extremely informative vigeos :) that the formula IS different and intentional. Ok, I still smh but the rest of the palette is so stinkin’ good I just roll with it. Thanks Alicia ❤
I too had to learn how to apply those shades. And the reason why I didn’t reach for the palette often, because the textures weren’t as seamless to use like Midnight Sun. Or even Divine Rose II!
Bronze Seduction is the one that got me to drink the kool aid. The special shades I just couldnt pass up and the mattes in the palette were exactly the type of mattes I get a lot of use out of. I did get it on sale though 😆
Bronze seduction is holy grail and iconic. Its what i bring on vacations with me especially international. Its very dark skin girl friendly. Day looks. Night looks. Smokey. Holiday. No makeup makeup. Its everything. My most used. No thinking. The looks put themselves together.
I must say guilty pleasure is such a divine shade. Mine became hard pan immediately after use. I quickly realized this palette wasn’t as wearable as I thought (not for work, anyway). At the time, I found myself reaching for the ABH Jackie Aina palette which had similar colors.
I'm not sure if anyone else sees it but I think of Mothership 1 and Mothership 5 and 2 sides of the same coin. They're the same kind of colour story but in cool and warm tones.
Your deep dives into the Motherships have become “must see tv”. There’s a throwback phrase. This was the only Mothership I owned, but unfortunately I lost it in Hurricane Ida when our house was hit and I lost most of my collection. I know, it still hurts. 🥹 I’ve been going back and forth with what to add back into my collection. Right now I’m considered II, III, VI, X and repurchasing V. You make it hard to decide with your commentary. You not only showcase the color story, but the textures, and the versatility of each palettes, which when you’re spending this amount of coin on, really does factor into the decision making process. The hubby already knows that this is what I want for my 47th in January, so I have a lot to think about! ❤ It’s been two over two years, and I do have the Celestial Osyssey to tide me over, but I do want a Mothership back! Bring on the looks!
Midnight Sun will always be my fave. It's everything I want in a palette. I thought I would love Bronze Seductione more but I didn't. The variety I love is not there for me.
I wish Pat McGrath would have done a neutral palette with the original baked formulas. Since we have seen many palettes with neutral tones recently. Also, would have loved to see an entire palette with the original baked formula with a color story similar to when she had the all shimmer palette. Just pick another color beside pink! Pick different tones of brown, green, purple, orange, warm tones, or cool tones. Just no more pink!!
I think the golden age was the first the palettes. They were new, fresh and completely innovative. Bronze seduction was a resurgence or silver age because while there was excitement, especially from people who had never indulged before, it wasn't nearly as new or innovative compared to the market particularly if you had purchased the holiday six pans
