From what I remember, the best a chimp performed on that number test was 9 numbers in around 3 seconds or so (the instant after they hit the start button).

yea with no time limit and a lot of practice a human could memorise a rediculous amount the whole thing abt chimps being better is with the immediate spatial memory or whatever that let's them do over 8 digits (when young) with only a split second of time to take all the info in

i got like 14, beat that btmc fomr osu. Also monkeys have amazing memories, I think evolutionary wise, we probably sacrificed that memory for our communication skills. or something like that.
