What was the name of the night club down the road of the famous Rendezou at the main intersection...that was back in !966-69..good memories at Loring...sad to see it gone.
Should do a video on Loring AFB, its deep in history and very nice place to drive around. Ive been to the new Rendezvous restaurant a little after it opened, its beautiful inside, lots of Flatscreens and a huge Bowling alley too. Another good spot you should review is Sports Inn, on bennet drive in caribou, i love the pizzas at Sports Inn.
@@YOUandMaine Np. It's worth the trip lol Renos used to be another good restaurant to go to but it closed down and the owner, Reno, retired. Now some other restaurant bought it out and is trying to do NYC style pizza there, it's called Daddarios or something. We also had Little Neros up by Walgreens where the old Paint store used to be, but it closed down not long after it opened.
@@YOUandMaine I'd like to see a video of your time at Loring, I was at Job Corps for 10 months at Loring, it is sad at how Bad that place has become, the deterioration of the buildings, the erosion of the paint, the over grown weeds and plants, the Crater filled roads that look like a Warzone plus lots of abandoned buildings. It's truly sad to see that base go to waste like that, it deserves much more than what it's been through in the last 20 plus years.
I was at Loring recently with some friends from Turner. The Officers housing is all gone and a solar farm is in its place. The NCO's housing is a disaster. @@TheDarkSoul6660
