Is CFA Worth it? Honest Opinion of an Investment Banker 

Lol. Obviously you know nothing about running a fund or having a CFA. If a CFA gives you so much capability to start and run a fund why don't all CFAs get 40-50lpa jobs? The practical world and the theoretical world are universes apart. It takes RAW understanding of stock market to pick stocks and make a good return. No CFA can teach you that. Actually most CAs and CFAs that I meet know very little about the market and still seek my advice 😂

Cfa Will be useless .Most of the Top investment banking companies like goldman sachs,Jp morgan ,morgan stanley for front end IB roles came to Top 10 MBA college that too hire top 20% of the batch .Try go for IIM ABC Fms LIK XLRi mdi iift.Most with cfa you'll get is a back end Equity role.

Stand alone cfa is enough for job or not?

Apart from pursuing CFA, it is advisable that CFA candidates must work on adding skillls in the resume Here are some points for your referrnce 1) you must learn ADVANCE EXCEL, VBA and other relevant softwares - WORD, PPT 2) if you like to make your career in IB, EQUITU RESEARCH then You must learn FINANCIAL MODELLING. Employers like to hire people who own financial modeling skills over those who don't have the same, considering the growing demand for financial modeling professionals. 3) Update yourself regularly with all the business news. Start reading Newspaper like MINT ET, Business Standard Subscribe to Business Magazines like Capital Market, Economist, Dala Street.
