Is Chewy a Big Hypocrite on This One ?

What's up guys,
Recently I made a video where I went on a long rant about watching short form Jiu-Jitsu technique videos, in contrast to watching long form BJJ videos.
If you missed the first video, use the link below:
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pQhbnS_2yVU.html
I was mainly talking about the highly processed, fast edited, high light reel technique videos. But, several of you guys made comments saying that you see those exact types of videos on my own Instagram page.
And you asked, "What gives?"
Am I a hypocrite?
In this video, I'll give you a short and long response to this question, and some of the nuances of making content as a Jiu-Jitsu creator, how it can affect your business, what i'll be doing moving forward, and more.
Thanks for watching.

I don’t have the attention span for a 13 minute explanation. Could you edit this down to a short form video?

It never ceases to amaze me how people act like its a huge revelation that content creators will make the content that gets them the most views.

Short or long you’ve given great advice

I prefer the long form for things that are complex and require in depth analysis. Shorts are for simple ideas. Something like a top 5 list for example. I can't hate on short content to much as it did give me a cool armbar setup off the dogfight when your opponent wizzers you.

I think it really comes down to quality and an individuals ability to identify something that can be applied for them. For instance I'll scroll through hundreds of those short form reels and 90%+ will be low percentage flashy techniques that you will never see executed at a high level. However, you have guys out there like Jason Rau who is consistently putting out very informative short form videos that you can actually get a ton of information out of. You just have to be able to focus, pick out the valuable techniques, dedicate the time to understanding them, and actually implement them into your game. Most people will just scroll, watch something one time, and forget all about it by the next time they roll.

I love your videos they're good and very good inputs in them and I like how you actually show how is done as well cuz I'm dyslexic so it's kind of hard for me to follow some things and the way in your videos you actually explain and show us the things which is why I look forward to them and like them cuz it helps me on when I used to do BJJ plan to go back to BJj's though it helps

We love you Chewy. Having to make a video to explain yourself in this way is a waste of your time. People develop their strategies and views as time passes and trends change. Like how a dance choreographer changes a couple things here and there. Man some people are dumb. I'll watch a 2 minute video or 2 hour video of yours.

My favorite type of short form content are the videos where they demonstrate what not to do and they wag their finger or shake their head... and then they caption it "sound on" like we're stupid or something

1:22 I wish you would’ve just said yeah, you guys act like you never seen a hypocrite before😂 i’m timestamp in because that’s all the video. It’s all pretty much after this it’s kind of pointless. It’s OK to change views of changing views and so on and so forth one way at all certain time and now you don’t feel that way I think the Internet makes it like it’s the worst thing ever your views may changed across time just this past Saturday I was telling people I hate when I see people pull Guard hurts my heart. By the end of the tournament I saw somebody do this weird slide shot guard cool, so cool so crazy I actually enjoyed it

*Ive heard that Blue belt is the hardest belt to achieve. Is that true? White belt asking*
@danielj5439
@danielj5439 26 дней назад
if we want to be technical, the Red belt will be the hardest belt to achieve. Followed by the coral belt, then black belt. etc. A lot of Jiu Jitsu practitioners get their Blue Belt within 2 years of training. Good luck to you.
