The US government has always blamed others for anything, internally or externally. Because the people we elected to our government are all lawyers, and the most basic job of a lawyer, is not justice or truth, is to accuse the other side, or the flip side, our side is not responsible. It is not in our politicians' DNA to follow the objective facts and have a unified policy that works to solve that problem, say like an engineer. Our politicians seek to only benefit their base even if it hurts country overall or the world (say ecological matters, or just the poor like S. America or Africa with our hammering monetary policies). That's why we love a common "bad guy", the boogey man, the Joker to our Batman. England, Spain, Mexico, the Philippines, Germany, Japan, Russia, Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Palestine, Mexico, and of course China. The foreigners are taking our jobs (which we enabled it because our exploitative companies demand it), they threaten us with war (even though we are the one surrounding them with 10 times the military might), they are not playing fair (even though we place sanctions on whomever and whenever we want for both geopolitical as well as protectionist reasons), they hate freedom and democracy (anyone look at our elections, our jailed, our streets recently? Assange or Snowden?), and on and on. I'd like to say we deserve ourselves, except we are dragging the rest of the world with us. Both Ukraine and Gaza, and God forbid Taiwan if it comes to that, cannot end well. Unfortunately, the only one who can really step on the breaks and stop this bus from careening off the cliff is the US, and I don't see us taking the foot off the gas pedal any time soon.

China has been consistent in their position with regards to the two states solutions. Pres Xi made a speech in Dec 2022 during his trip to west Asia, he did say that china supports the Palestinians to have their own state, respecting the border designed under the 1967 but for some reason the western world kept blaming China for everything that goes wrong in the world.

Common sense logic should be: 1. Fentanyl is a prescription drug that is highly addictive and also should be highly regulated. It can be used as both life-saving drugs or misused as addictive drugs. This is the duty of each government within its own jurisdiction to regulate and enforce the law. In fact, to name a few, China and Singapore have done a phenomenal job to regulate addictive drugs and to hold drug dealers accountable as one of the most serious felonies. 2. Chinese firms are selling raw chemical compounds to Mexico firms legally. The raw material has no addictive properties. A close analogy would be selling grapes to the winery. It is the winery to produce wine, which could be addictive. Or they can produce non-alcoholic grape juice. It is Mexico's government's duty to oversee the raw material being used to produce lifesaving drugs or addictive drugs. China has no jurisdiction or means whatsoever to supervise this production process. BTW, a fun fact: sugar can be addictive and the reward circuit works very similarly to additive drugs. Why is it not considered a drug that needs to be regulated? Because it is based on the assumption that it's widely used in daily life and most people are not over consuming it. But, think again, there are scientific publications about the health problems directly caused by sugar over consumption. Diabetes has also killed many people and wasn't a common disease back 50 years ago.
BTW it is the US government’s responsibility to regulate the drugs, not even Mexican government has the jurisdiction or means to do it. Yes wineries make wines, yet it is up to the buyer to consume responsibly 😅

Interesting discussion at the end. If US beat China based on better technology, better Universities and economic scale, that will be good for global economic. With a different philosophical background, I cannot understnad why governments of western countries have to be so competitive. It is also a question for me; if one day China really surpassed USA, would China become aggressive and dominating like USA. If yes, I will do the same thing as this gentleman. I was born in China in the early eighties, for as long as I could remember, the terms “ Palestine and Israel “ and “ West Bank Gaza Strip “巴以双方”、“约旦河西岸”，were mentioned in the China daily evening news so many times, there terms could just slip out of my mind like they somehow glue together. My child asked me yesterday about what happened as he heard and read it in the news, and when I tried to explain it to him, I realized how long it has been! It truly is a sad sad realization…

US has neither valid nor moral reason to blame China for loss of its dominance in manufacturing because most of American companies moved their manufacturing to China voluntarily due to China's cheap labor and low cost of most of parts and materials needed for their products. US encouraged the move initially as these wide moves out of US bring enormous benefit of preserving America's natural resources and pristine environment from any likely industrial pollution.
