One of the most outspoken professors against biblical Christianity and the Bible that I had in college was my English teacher. However I do have to give her credit because she was willing to look at the evidence when I offered to bring a Bible for her to look at and borrow. The next time we met for lecture she did make a clarification in front of the class.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, ' is the utterance of Jehovah, ' even my servant whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.

Paul wrote that "he handed on as of first importance what he had received - that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried and that he rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures." Let yourself become convinced of that first, (as RC did), and then allow yourself to reflect on Jesus' specific words (all of them).
When Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life; Jesus was stating the truth. God, or the force of Love that animates all of life; is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus was not speaking personally about himself. What Jesus meant is that Love is the way to live, Love is the truth, and Love is the way to eternal life; not in the sense of heaven, but as a way to know yourself as the eternal being that you are. When you know yourself as Love, you know yourself as God. God, the I am that is within Jesus, is the same God that is within everyone. The spirit that is within Jesus is also within everyone. God is the same in everyone, and God's name is Love.

There are 32 occurrences of the word ignorant in the Holy Scriptures. Each time, calling the believer to not be so. The opposite is to be knowledgable by means of your intellect. Using your intellect to search the scriptures to know Gods ways. This is a praiseworthy thing...How else are you going to know Truth?
