Years ago there was only coin machines. There was no electronic games. My hands used to get so dirty. OMG and the coin containers got so heavy. So funny what we used to do back in the day!
great video guys. i fell in love with circus last year. i was amazed on how much nicer it was after the renovations which were much needed because mgm didnt do anything to this property. im glad a GOOD owner has it now and is giving the place the tlc it much deserved!! i absolutely love the outside lighting which makes this place my most favorite exterior of any casino on the strip!! cheers
When I lived in SoCal, I'd drive to Vegas 4-6 times a year (in the mid to late 80s) but I live here now. I loved the coin slots! My favorite was the Wild Cherry slot. I stayed mostly at the Imperial Palace, Circus Circus or the Riviera. My favorite casinos to gamble in was Silver City and downtown was Union Plaza. Sooo long ago! I. Am. Old. 😂 I'm glad y'all had a great time! Thanks so much for your videos and continued luck to you both!
Great video. WE will be there in 3 weeks and always stay and play there. They treat us great. Comp room and free play. we arent high rollers but they make us feel that way great staff. I thank you for the video. Got to see the floor and new games from 6 months ago. Now you got our blood flowing to be there. Its nice to see a real couple enjoying the fun side of the strip without a big bank roll. Cant say thank you enough.
I wish I could "love" this comment over and over again! It almost made me cry! I was so impressed with the staff, and everyone visiting was having a good time. I know there have been issues with the property... but if I'm being honest we stayed at Caesar's Palace last year and our room was TRASH! The headboard was duct taped, dirt and stains all over the carpet, curtains, and chair. There was a sewerage issue and the entire corridor leading to the elevators smelled horrible. Our room was not cheap, we were not treated well by staff, and in my opinion the resort is TOO big. It makes me sad that there are people who have a bad opinion about places like Circus Circus because influencers only want to show what is trendy and popular. Rob and I love history and we appreciate what is left of the "Old Vegas" vibe. I hope you guys have the BEST time visiting, and if you see us out and about please say H!! :)
The coin machines are such a treat, because they are only available in 2 casinos in Vegas. It was a great time! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video :)
Hi Jess and Rob, nice date night for $67. 😍 For sure good for low rollers! I played on those coin machines a lot as they were the only ones available. Coin less machines still not out. Always had to ask for the wet wipes to clean the fingers. Surprised they don't have them there. One thing to be careful about is the max bet on those coin machines. You really have to read the tables. Some will not pay the higher jackpot unless you play the max. Saw earlier on the live stream when Jess was not playing the max of 3 quarters if the jackpot combo hit it would have payed zero. That would have been heartbreaking. 75 cents is still a low roller spin. Sadly I have seen it happen many times. I never want it to happen to you both. Best of luck next session.
I was surprised they didn't have wipes either... our hands were a mess! I was cautioned about the jackpot a few times during my live. I can only image that would make people crazy!! It's hard to think of ever going back to coins, the new machines are much more convenient lol
My family vacations would be from Cali to Vegas. We’d stay at Circus Circus. The kids would go play the carnival games and mom and dad would go to the casino. I remember the carousal was a bar.
So excited to visit Vegas this summer! We will be stay for a week at circus circus in July. Have never played slots but the 25 cent game looks like just my style.
Circus Circus was one of the first casinos I ever went to. All coin operated. Had to pull the handle had no options. Couldn't imagine how it could have been any different but of course it certainly is!! Those were the days of $9.99 prime rib and all the fixings. Good old times. BTW just found your channel.😊
Welcome and thank you for watching! I was struggling with the coins - dropping them everywhere lol I wish the old Vegas prices would come back, but I think those days are close to gone.
I wish we could have experienced those times! Circus Circus is trying to focus on keeping the old Vegas vibe and prices to the best of their ability. My shrimp cocktail (with 5 shrimp and cocktail sauce) was $2 at Slots-A-Fun (during my livestream) I have to say it was a great time, and we will be back!
I can remember twenty four years ago you played with the coins and when you won it paid with coins , we would have buckets of coins you wait in line to turn in for bills as you were leaving, I can’t remember when the casinos stopped the coin .
Cheap eats have been reimagined. Food halls and food courts are replacing buffets. There are pros and cons, but we still love a good buffet. Southpoint still has budget prices and quality food at their buffet and Coronado Cafe. We've been quite a few times. I think the days of $3 meals is long gone though :(
@@LasVegasSlots702 anytime! I’ve just started watching your channel and I love that you do low roller videos. Seems like there are mostly high roller on RU-vid and lord knows I can’t do that! So thank you!
Unfortunately, many of the hotels on the strip have issues with pest. The strip never closes and has visitors coming in and out from all over the world. They all do the best they can to prevent it, but it is truly inevitable with the volume of tourist. I like to visit a lot of the casinos on the strip, but there are few I would actually choose to stay at.
This is just because my husband RIP used to do that I I I and it always deep down made me sad. It Made me feel invisible. So, nothing personal..just a hang-up.
