The mechanical skill needed to be good in dbd is very low, added to the fact that it is quite easy for any half decent player to participate in tournaments makes a majority of comp players barely any better than the top mmr survs or killers would be. Also the fact that comp dbd has vastly different rulesets and only a couple of teams regurarly win (elysium, eternal) makes the comp scene in dbd more like a cool kids club rather than something to be actually taken seriously. No wonder tru3 beats these lower tier comp players regurlarly on stream
Most DBD players are funnily enough, bad, so when you're even slightly better than that, it's seen as "impressive" to the point that you can be be considered comp worthy 😆 The level of unawareness some people have with their egos is pretty funny.
I’m honestly curious at what’s stronger a perk that lets you go invisible like the unknowns perk that transfers your terror radius to the gen, or a killer like wraith where they’re always in stealth.
The only difference between a regular player and a comp player is that one has “a considerably higher chance to be unhinged in the end game chat”. Get it? “Considerably”, cause DBD itself was a joke by not telling us exact numbers 😂
I normally agree with you on most takes but if you were to actually 1v1 a lot of comp players on ladder you would get humbled real quick, whereas if what you're saying is true you should be able to beat a lot of them without much effort. How they loop in a pub/tournament game setting to best help their team isn't a true reflection of their own mechanical skill
1v1 is only good for practicing certain things-like tiles and distance-but the game is not designed for 1v1 with a naked Trapper, okay? These 1v1 "star" players predrop every single time in their "comp" matches. They are not looping; they are predropping and buying time. If the tile is not extremely safe, they don’t know what to do and go down in seconds. Just look at the video where Oracle and Eternal play, especially the Xeno match-clueless survivors, literally. Vaulting everything and hoping for the best, playing 50-50. Have you ever seen a "comp" match where the killer is chasing the survivor for 4-5 minutes like in a 1v1? Exactly… Not.
Comp is basically several thousand hours sweats who expect to be taken seriously for abusing poorly designed game mechanics while talking shit with their friends on a Discord call, doubling on gens and popping them in 50 seconds or less, while pallet saving or flashbang saving or body blocking and breaking hooks whenever the killer tries to hook someone. They are literally breaking the game in a way it was never designed to be played, and somehow that's a clear display of skill? It's just like those embarrassing survivor "challenges" where 4 streamers were playing with voice chat, how is any win like that a challenge if you have ridiculous advantages with third party software? might aswell have wallhacks against the killer, since they can tell each other where the killer is every second of the match! and they were doing that shit to regular poor bastards who happened to play killer those days, not expecting to be literally playing tournament level matches out of nowhere lmao
The games tru3 played where he purposefully didnt camp or tunnel in order to determine if wraith could do it without it? You can also look at a more recent match up against elysium where he drawed, so comp players certainly arent on a another level lol.
@@bestermann5437he went up against like 2 of them in a duo, which is not the same as facing their full team where they were would be actually be try harding for a win. Just one survivor making too many mistakes can throw the whole match for them. True definitely tried to camp and tunnel in his games against oracle, it's just that no matter what he did it was always a four man escape
I dunno man, I've seen a few of your vids, and the impression you give is that you always play against the best of the best when it comes to survivors, how come you're matched up against these potato survivors? I'm an average Myers main, and I rarely get survivors that bad. PS no hate intended
Tru3 never faces true comp survivors in pub matches. true comp survivors are excellent at looping and make almost no errors in looping. An m1 killer like myer's is complete worthless towards pre-running, gen-rushing and checkspot looping survivor. the checkspot are so efficient used that even getting 2-3 hits per game is difficult and on top of that, comp dbd is VERY gen-rushy like SWF that Tru3 SOMETIMES plays against and then whines when he loses because it is "UNFAIR". He'll always say that Your playing at 1 HP in fighting game and they're playing at full hp and your trying to beat imbalance of SWF. Well guess what. EVERY SINGLE GAME is like that in comp DBD vs good teams. that is also why they have rules to try balance it for killer... like unque perks for survivor but realistically, a lot of killer are just F-tier not viable and it doesn't matter that survivor are handicap with bad perks because fundamental elements of the game like efficient 3 people gen-rushing and efficient checkspot looping trump any m1 killer. In the end of the day, if you can't down anyone because you need to break 10 pallets to get 1 down and gen are done in 6 minutes, perk just don't matter at that point. So yes, comp dbd is different. It is why comp dbd has a lot of camping on first down, lots of tunneling and lots of tactical 3 gen play because middle of the road killers can't win otherwise. Top-tier killer have more chances to win because of like... insane chase potencial like Nurse and Chucky but gen-rushing is still gen-rushing, so even killer with good chase will struggle to win if they don't strategically tunnel. comp dbd in nutshell.
@dodang_9147 thanks for your response ✌️. I've only just recently started watching Tru3 on RU-vid, must admit I feel bad for him with all the hate and misunderstandings he has to deal with, he doesn't deserve it, just a shame he has to deal with such a shitty community
@@dodang_9147 You are capping a bit. Oracle for example was considered the best of the best when Tru3 went against them. Not to mention other moments. While he is not always facing the best of the best out there, to claim he never faces "true comp survivors" ( What ever that means lol ) is not even close to being a truthful statement.
@@dodang_9147so what if he whines about the SWF ure just showing urself that ure a survivor main😂 SWF is just to powerful and True has every right to brag about it
@@UndyingZombie every match is like oracle if your facing top-comp. that's my point. none of these matches that he is showing are ever as hard as comp matches. i am not saying true doesn't face comp-level type gameplay but when he does, he complains that is SWF breaks the game, SWF just gen-rush, it is uninteresting and so on.
