My only concern is the liquid cooling. As my current pc is 6 years old and is using a 8th gen intel cpu. I’m worried if I get this will I have to worry about liquid as I never had a liquid cooling before. I think I’m ready to upgrade but I’m on the fence. Is it possible to change the cpu cooler to air if necessary?
Thanks for your comment and for watching the review! I understand your concern about liquid cooling, especially if you’ve never used it before. Liquid cooling can be very effective for keeping your CPU temperatures low, especially during intensive gaming or multitasking, but it can feel a bit intimidating if you're used to traditional air cooling. The good news is that it’s definitely possible to swap out the liquid cooler for an air cooler if you prefer. Many gamers choose air coolers for their simplicity, reliability, and ease of maintenance. Just make sure to choose an air cooler that is compatible with your case size and CPU socket. If you decide to go with air cooling, you’ll want to check that the case has good airflow and enough space to fit a larger air cooler if needed. Both cooling methods have their pros and cons, so it ultimately depends on your comfort level and performance needs, here is a link for a bunch of cpu air coolers amzn.to/3X3XQmP (affiliated amazon link). If you’re on the fence about upgrading, consider what features are most important to you in your new build. Whether it’s cooling, performance, or future-proofing, finding the right balance for your needs is key. Good luck with your upgrade, and thanks again for your comment!
I just bought this for a discount on Amazon. I’m a little nervous because of it being an intel9 and folks telling me that I need to figure out what motherboard I have and update the BIOS so the cpu doesn’t break or something?? Have you experienced any crashing, overheating, or blue screens with the cpu? And did you update the BIOS? I subscribed and liked btw
Thank you for subscribing and liking the video! Congrats on your new CyberPowerPC purchase! I totally understand your concerns, especially when dealing with an Intel i9 and the potential need for BIOS updates-these are important things to consider. BIOS Update: In many cases, updating the BIOS can ensure compatibility with newer CPUs like the Intel i9 and help prevent issues. To check if you need to update, first, identify your motherboard model. You can usually do this through system information tools or by checking inside your PC. Once you have the model, visit the motherboard manufacturer’s website to see if a BIOS update is recommended for your system. If your BIOS is outdated, it’s usually a good idea to update it for stability. Crashing, Overheating, or Blue Screens: In my experience with similar setups, I haven’t encountered issues like crashing, overheating, or blue screens with the Intel i9, but it’s essential to have proper cooling and airflow in your case. Ensure your PC is well-ventilated, and monitor temperatures to make sure everything is running smoothly. CyberPowerPC generally builds their systems with these considerations in mind, so you should be in good shape. I’m in love with it so far, performance is top notch, I went from an entry level 4 core gaming rig to this heavy beast of a pc. The only drawback is the low amount of ram. Which I will be upgrading soon. I also had to move a ribbon cable over as it was blocking one of the fans. But other than that right of the box, she’s fast and fun to game on. Highly recommend
Thank you so much for liking and subscribing! I’m glad you enjoyed the review. As for your question about choosing between the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR and the non-VR version, here are a few points to consider: VR Capability: If you’re interested in virtual reality gaming or think you might be in the future, the VR version is designed with the necessary hardware to support VR headsets. This usually means a more powerful GPU and other components that are optimized for VR performance. Performance: Check the specifications of both models. Often, the VR version will have slightly higher specs to handle the demands of VR gaming. If you’re only interested in traditional gaming, you might find that the non-VR version meets your needs just as well. Price: Consider the price difference between the two models. If the VR version is significantly more expensive and you don’t plan on using VR, the non-VR version might offer better value for your budget. Future-Proofing: Even if you’re not into VR now, having a VR-capable system might be beneficial for future-proofing your setup. It could offer better performance in general gaming and other applications. Ultimately, it depends on your current needs and whether you see VR gaming as part of your future. Both models are solid choices, but if VR is something you’re interested in exploring, the VR version might be the better investment.
