ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a Woj-bomb on Thursday morning that the Lakers were in hot pursuit of back to back national champion UConn head coach Danny Hurley. What does this mean for the Huskies? IF he goes, who replaces Hurley in the short term? In the long term? Would any players opt to enter the portal at that point? Or would they circle the wagons?

Being that Lakers don't keep a coach long,Hurley will probably say to them I won't take less than a 10 year contract or don't bother me

Billy Donavon is an interesting idea as a replacement, but I think in-house or a current college are the only real options. In-house gives UConn the best chance of retaining a starting 5 that is Big East worthy. Stealing a current coach, like Pikell or Smart, might bring talent along for the ride. We Husky fans are in for a stressful weekend. Maybe it's payback for having 2 straight stress free NCAA tournaments. 🤔

Uconn will promote one of their assistants to retain the roster short term. If it doesnt work out long term, they get fired and theyll try to find the next Hurley/Calhoun/Geno

I don't see going for three in a row even comes into play. If he wants to coach in the pro's and the offer is right then he should go. I would say this even if he was the coach of the team I pull for.

He won’t go. It affects to many people. In a negative way. For starters,his wife. Do you think he wants a divorce? Then you have the guys on the team. Young men that trusted him,and now he’s just going to walk out on them? No,it’s not going to happen. Then he has to deal with Lebron. Who wants to do that? Los Angeles is a shithole, his wife has stated that New Jersey is it for her. Connecticut is close enough. The money? Danny has enough money already. He’s not all about money.

This. I love chaos and wouldn't mind if he left UConn, but he turned down UK because he stated what you mentioned above, money isn't what he's looking for and he's in a location that agrees with his wife. He has such a good thing at UCONN. Not much pressure, tons of success, great culture, etc He really has it setup for a dynasty, which is all the more reason why I'd like to see him leave to make it more wide open for others, but I also think it would be foolish to do so. LA sucks, as you said, LeBron isn't coachable and has too much pull as a player resulting in other coaches being terminated, and tbh I don't think it really fits who he is or what he's about. He's a NE guy, through and through
