I believe David Platt exemplifies the evil shepherds we are warned about in God's word. I would hope Christians would leave that church and come out from under his influence. If Platt is at heart one of God's children, we can confidently leave it to God to sort it all out with him when he gets home.

I’m not entirely sure we can call him a brother sadly. The social justice movement is another gospel altogether and Paul is really clear in Galatians that if anyone should preach another gospel to you other than the one passed down from them, he is accursed.

David Platt is a wolf. This doctrine of diversity equity and inclusion is completely Marxist. And he knows it and doesn't care. You just listen to him talking. He's so feminized. He sounds like the victims on the left. The far left.

What has he taught that qualifies as heresy? Can you point me to a sermon, interview etc? My question is a serious question. Personally, I haven't heard him teach anything that sounds like hersey. Thanks

I am not in a hurry to get back to the church building, sadly. the same pastors that harped on Hebrews 10:25 closed their doors during covid, and that along with all the deception and dividing on doctrines that have nothing to do with salvation became too much for this new believer. I will read my Bible and pray for understanding, and cling to the couple Christian friends that I have.

Wait is this the same David Platt from Radical? I've never seen anything like that from their teachings. They are devoted to radical evangelism...maybe this is a different David Platt?

Same David Platt. He went in the ditch. I used to attend Mclean Bible Church when Lon Solomon was pastor. Platt took it off the rails. Sad.

@@deborahtorp6936I asked, 2 months ago for evidence to back up these charges. Or seen any viable evidence. 2 months later, crickets. Maybe this person will actually respond to you with something. So far all I've heard has come from one side. I haven't heard anything from David Platt in response to the charges leveled against him. I will reserve judgment until I hear both sides. What's the cutoff for reperations? 200-300-10,000 years? Do we give the land "back" to whomever was here 1,000 years ago or maybe those from whom they took it or those whom they enslaved or....

What's the cut off? I'd say somewhere around 400 plus year's or there bout.
