Infinity would have to be built back from scratch as it was originally built with Avalanche Software's proprietary game engine, Octane. Without those Octane architects, there is no Infinity
Agree, but the approach means they could take some aspects from it and infuse it into this world. I'm really hoping for storytelling mechanics ala the Toybox. Hopefully, but we'll have to wait and see.
I sure hope this new Disney game will be big and epic as Disney Infinity was. I love a good crossover of beloved characters and collision of worlds. I was very disappointed that they canceled the Lego Disney game for Disney's 100th anniversary. It would've been awesome. But hopefully this new ultimate Disney crossover will give people great ideas to share creative Disney creations. This should be fun!
Great video! Not sure, if it will be like Disney Infinity. Maybe inspired, but I am not sure how good it will eventually be...there are a few things missing such as the whole Avalanche Studio, and other people, who created DI.
It's just going to be more Fortnite, to be a Disney Infinity spiritual successor it would need everything that made Infinity special, the DNA, design, aesthetics, the feeling, those things, epic games will never be able to replicate. nothing more than more licensing.
You may be right - and I think they'll focus on an expansive HUB world (Disneyland on acid) but I am hopeful the "storytelling" mechanics they mention rival those tools found in Infinity. Either way, I'm keeping a close eye on this one.

I dont know nothing can ever be like disney infinity or nothing can replace it disney infinity was something special it was a unique special toys to life game i just miss it
I hope Fortnite will be able to pull of all the things Disney infinity use to be it will be so cool to replay all the Disney infinity stuff Fortnite will make it look so modern I just hope epic games don't ruin it but I'm so excited for when they do finally release it gonna be so cool

I don't think so - at all, actually. They have the licensed IP's to put skins in their BR. I see this being a standalone experience ala Lego Fortnight, Racing, Jam Festival etc. I'm excited to see it. That hub world concept looks AMAZING.
Disney Infinity 4.0 but the characters who you can play is Doom Slayer, Rick Sanchez, The Predator, Rick Grimes, Batman, The Joker, Optimus Prime and even more Starwars and Marvel characters like Wolverine and Mandalorian SIGN ME UP BABY!
wait WITHIN fortnight? So I have to play fortnight or I miss out on the new Disney thing? And that probably means fortnight gameplay will bleed into every part of the game. This is far from Infinity 4.0. This is going to disapoint everyone.

@@InfiniteerAdventures As someone who's never played fortnite my only source of info on it was youtube videos and as far as I could see people only play the battle royalle mode. Now that I know some of the other modes by name I can look up videos of them specifically. Maybe they'll change my opinion? Here's hoping because I want to enjoy this new disney thing
@@lexibyday9504 I'm right there with you - and I'm quite a big Fortnite fan as well. Ultimately, I have high hopes for the people being able to share their own story and experiences with others. I'm praying for some sort of Toybox mode.
@@InfiniteerAdventures Well I looked up the game modes and there's like no videos of people playing those which tells me that either the majority like fortnite being pvp focussed which means the disey mode will have a huge pvp element, or the fortnite pvp comunity is really toxic and no one wants to be seen as asociated with them.
@@lexibyday9504 I think it will be it's own Disney experience - watch shows, movies, get digital goods for all modes. I also think they will have the PvP elements just in BR because honestly, that's what they have now with all the Star Wars/Disney/Marvel skins etc. Only time will tell, but I am intrigued by the prospect of a Disney metaverse inside the game as it's own standalone mode.
