"Oyle dertli" is written from the point of view of a bull/cow that is about to be sacrificed in Eid al-Adha or Festival of Sacrifice. I'd also vote for you to give it a listen :)

Here is the 'must listen list' for Duman: Yanıbaşımdan*** Haberin Yok Ölüyorum Elimdeki Saz Yeter Canıma Belki Alışman Lazım Yalnızlık Paylaşılmaz Dibine Kadar*** Elleri Ellerime İyi De Bana Ne Senden Daha Güzel Bu Aşk Beni Yorar Rüyanda Görsen İnanma En Güzel Günüm Gecem Seni Kendime Sakladım Sen Ben Helal Olsun Sor Bana Pişman Mıyım
Ah Aman aman Bu akşam Eski köprünün altında Melek Oje Öyle dertli Sayın bayan Bal Bekle dedi gitti Bebek Tövbe Yürekten Saldır Gözleri kanlı Hayatı yaşa Vals Sadece koklayacaktım
I actually went Duman’s concert twice (in Germany and in Turkey) and these men are monster on stage. They do at least 4 hours of concerts with their entire discography and you never get tired or bored of them. All of their songs are priceless (with music and lyrics) and Duman is timeless for me. I listened them in my teenage years, i am 28 now and probably i’m gonna listen to them till the end. They own rock music in Turkey (with a few groups like maNga, Mor ve Ötesi)
hey bro, whats up ? I hope all is good.. Duman's 1st album is pure grunge and the closest sound to Nırvana.. the frontman of Duman lıved ın Seattle for a long tıme so ıt reflected to theır musıc. just a sıde note.
Hey Sadi, i am good thanks bro and yourself? Thanks for the information i guess it would be hard not to be influenced when you are in the birthplace of a genre, right place right time. ✌️
@@KingdomOfLuke yea man definitely, the capital of Grunge! so many legendary bands yea.. Alıce ın chaıns, soundgarden, Nırvana.. lovıng your reactıon vıdeos bro! peace!
I love how he is going into details of every song that he's reacting to. This is first for me. He is not doing this just for likes and views. He is interested with the language and the culture. Loving this. Subscribed!
Love the video, as always! Duman is a really unique band, Kaan is a unique singer. He also has a very sad story. Years ago, when the group was at the beginning of their career, Kaan had a girlfriend whom he loved, but she had some issues. One night, while the group was singing in a concert, Kaan's girlfriend, Ahu, killed herself. It took many years for Kaan to overcome this pain. He still doesn't sing the song named "Bal" he wrote for Ahu while they were together.
This is the first time I came across with your channel. I have been watching your videos for 30 minutes right now. I watched other reaction videos of other youtubers as well but man you are sincere, knowledged and everything. Others look like they are doing this for the views. Seein someone outside of Turkey like u watching and commenting about what the country loves is beautiful! I dont think u r an outsider to us by the way. U r always welcome to Turkey
I've been subscribed many months ago but this is my first comment though. Love your new background and lightning improvements. Although chairs looked distinct with the white background, this is better IMHO. Great reactions. Keep 'em coming! Thanks!
Hope you’ll see it) Duman is a melancholic rock group. They alsohave a song named “Melankoli (melancholy)”. The solist had a tuff relationship with his gf. He wrote a song about her named “Bal(honey)” ‘cause he called her “balım” (honey the love word). She (Ahu) had a bad psychology sometimes she wanted to hurt herself and Kaan (the solist) always loved her but they were going to broke up. He started to wrote songs to her. Duman also have an album about their love life which is “ Belki De Alışmam Lazım( Maybe I should get used to) (not sure about translating). In their (Belki de Alışmam Lazım) album concert Kaan looking for her in the audiences. Their friend called her and make her to listened. When he sang “Bal” he had bad news. Ahu killed herself. He continued to singing with tears. ( I became emotional. GOD) Then he never sang “Bal” in any concerts. Until one of them spectators wanted “Bal” so much. They screamed and screamed and screamed. He put his forefinger to his mouth and said “Shh” them he show the sky. The started to crying. Then never wanted “Bal”. Anyways Duman is a PERFECT group hope you won’t stop listening.
In 2004, this song was our school bell 🔔 Because the manager let the students choose whichever song we wanted As you can understand, we didn't like school too much 🙂
Accually Sezen also sang this song at the 90's. You can react that song too. It's an awesome but slower version of this song. (That one also Turkish version of Haris Alexiou's song so... You can also make a Turkish-Greek song comparison at those versions lol)
Man,you genuinely are the Gangster.Your'e bloody Awesome brother,I love watching your reaction to all the Turkish music and learning the Turkish culture also.. Ps, you look like Danny green,he is an Australian boxer😎😎😎
Hey man, nice to see you reacting to more videos. The lead singer of the group, Kaan Tangöze, has a solo album, and I think you should listen to “Bekle Dedi Gitti”. It is worth it trust me :) Such a classic.
You asked us that is it used in a tv series? Yes. It used in " YALANCI YARİM" . Also the song sung by BARIŞ AKARSU. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2Kq3sInuP4o.html I found a fragman but normally he sung it while he drive scane.
I almost cried when you mentioned Layne Staley. AIC is my favorite one as well. I wanna make a note for similarity of lyrics of that two bands Duman and AIC. There is a line of the song called Helal Olsun by Duman which is “Uçasım gelir kanadım yara.”. It means that I wanna fly but my wings are wounded. And here’s a line from the song called Down in a Hole by AIC; “I’d like to fly but my wings have been so denied”. These two lines are so similar that we can understand Duman and AIC have common points. Your comments are always right. Go on, man🤘🏻
Yea love all of Alice and in chains songs I know the lyrics you are talking about that Dirt album is still a regular addiction for me years after hearing it for the first time.
Kingdom Of Luke You have good taste in music, obviously. You should listen Mad Season that one of its group members is Staley. Thank you for your videos. I’ll keep watching every single video you made✌🏻
Duman Nirvana coveri yapan kendi özgün şarkısını bile yapamayan bir gruptur. Bir zamanlar Rolling Stones Erkin Koray'dan şarkı çalıyordu şimdi Duman dünyanın en ünlü Rock grubunun akorlarını birebir kopyalayıp şarkı yapıp Rock ilahı ilan ediliyor, hadi be oradan siz hayatınızda hiç rock dinlememişsiniz bile.
Really you must listen the live version of this song from a concert. Atmosphere, listeners and Duman is on another level there and Duman's Bostancı 2003 concert is the best concert ever them. You can find the all videos in them channel. By the way keep it up! 🔥
You should really, really listen the original by the little sparrow. She throws out such a sublime vocal show towards the end of the song that is filled with so many emotions, but most importantly, the madness of it all... Listen to it, even if you won't react to it. It'll stay with you.
when i wanna listen old, missed music that you reacted, i listen on your chanel again and again. You're unique. Do Turkish reactions more and more!!!!!!
Their debut album is much more Grungy than the one which has this song. I highly advise you to check that out. I wouldn't say they are like Alice in that album (Alice is also my favorite Seattle scene band by the way), they are more like Screaming Trees, a bit sloppier and cheesier in their melodies, in a good way. Or maybe even an early Soundgarden. You could react to Köprüaltı or Istanbul from their first album.
The urge to procrastinate defeated me, so I tried to translate the lyrics to the song's spirit. The lyrics are basically a composition of red flags, but, then, the song is from a different era. It’s a great song. While at it, another song known for its intense lyrics is Med Cezir by Levent Yüksel, who, at the time, was one of the pupils of the Little Sparrow. 90s were something in Turkey music-wise. Also, I totally agree that the song has almost a chanting quality. I think that’s stronger in the original version. Here is my humble English translation: Set us all on fire: Me, yourself, and everything else. A speck of spark, that’s all it takes. Look, I’m game! Love me up, or, if you’d rather, wipe me out. To perish is to cherish! (2) I’ve drawn you into my body in a single breath. My heart is failing, my chest might collapse. The two us will burst into flames. A speck of spark, that’s all it takes. Look, I’m game! To perish is to cherish! (2) Oh my God! Oh my God! I’m marching into flames. Oh my God! I’m flourishing in agony and love. Exhaust me with my longing for you, Make me tired of your love. Going without love, that I can’t bear, but, a break-up, I can endure. Inflict on me, as much pain as you like. Your presence or absence, neither is enough! (2) Oh my God! Oh my God! I’m marching into flames. Oh my God! I’m flourishing in agony and love.
Kaan lived in seattle before. At the grunge era... so eddie vedder, kurt cobain, layne staley, chris cornell (these guys) inspired him. I should say that sadly. so many duman listeners doesn’t know the seattle music from 90’s and because of that... they think the duman is original(not everyone! Most of em’) I mean don’t get me wrong, they’re making good music but at the same time we should learn the where this “sound” comes from😓
Duman - Senden Daha Güzel (Which is also used for proud Turkish Basketball Team Efes Pilsen (known as Anadolu Efes now)) but my favourite one ise Helal Olsun..
Spark means "Kıvılcım" in Turkish and it's a name for women. Also, it's the name of Kaan Tangoze's ex girlfriend who is currently wife of him. 😁 People say that this song is written on behalf of her 🤸♀️
