When using Delhi when I'm up against English I don't try to fight them in feudal. I hit castle as fast as I can and kill his trash with MAA.

yeah I have the same problem. I just can't figure out how to answer fast castle on HRE, they always seem to have a way of hiding out from resource attacking. english isnt as bad provided they literally forget about MAA. if they build those, they're so hard to answer with no real counter.

hello delhi brothers. I also struggle with really early aggression. I think if you can hold out on the initial push on your base you should eventually shift the moment in your favor if you can protect the economy. spamming horsemen and archers right from your base with efficient production will overwhelm any push. After that the key is map control. If you get out on the map and take control of space it makes things a lot harder for them, especially one you capture sacred sites. You can use that gold to move to castle and then start pumping units. That said i do struggle against hre and the really early english pushes. It's difficult, but i think delhi is just hard to play. English have very simple plan, but to counter it requires a good amount of effort and thought. Same for HRE maa mass. Its tough, but preserve, only like 5 percent of the player base can claim to be delhi players

@@tjbach8213 Last game i held 2 sacred sites and still enemy had more units than me (maybe it was just bad game, but holy sh*t. he had like 40 longbowmen oneshoting my horsemen (even after i repelled him 2 times before and killed his army. Sometime I just don't understand how can enemy amass so much units and still still has better eco on 1 TC...

You can go for Archers, actually that counter both spearmen and longbows because you can qite more easily (higher MS) and very few horsemen going from their back to cancel LB from attacking your archers, most of the time they'll put spearmen in front so you can force him to micro more when you just have to Q click with archers

Sounds like you have worse economy if they have an answer for everything you do

@@Oscarhagsjo i find feudal rather hard to defend off, mass archers and couple of maa with rams are very hard to defend. If I rush castle I might not be able to fend off. If I do successfully reach castle, the English as well and just builds springs

In late game if enemy produces a lot of MAA, what work for me is use of granadiers with upgrades for gunpowder units. (If they use bowmen to counter you, you can get some horsemen into army).

horsemen + crossbow. btw lancers crush MAA with the same economy
