Media was wrong before and they are still wrong. He won two cups and a CL berth in his first two seasons while juggling a flawed roster. INEOS is smarter than the media, they are not blaming the gaffer for the dip in production given the extensive injuries this past season. The decision to retain him was easy to see coming, unless you are ESPN or their "experts."

They were struggling because the best players were injured for most of the season, if not all. Most of the players at the club were horrible recruiting by edwoodward .

Is it unreasonable for INEOS to say "we didn't hire you so we're going to evaluate your body of work and explore alternatives before making a decision regarding your future"? Isn't that the normal practice when under performing organizations undergo restructuring? How does ESPN end up with pundits who seem incapable of engaging in nuanced thinking or critical analysis?
