I think euphony is probably a great choice to swap to for longer dps phases/final stands where you've already spent all your still hunt ammo, you can just run the call or something beforehand and loadout swap i think
Double special where one is your add clear and the other is for dps will cost you a ton of ammo for dps. Your second special will drain most your ammo for it. Better too use outbreak or lucky pants with still Hunt.
@@ADreadBellow on witness you can literally use an lmg, still hunt singlehandedly carries dps, and rocket sidearms are also incredibly ammo efficient so this point does not stick
@@ADreadBellow This would typically make more sense with that double special heavy ammo effect they nerfed way back, but lead from gold on at least 1 of your two special weapons, along with even a single Aeons present makes this nerf so insignificant it's not even a concern.
@@LlamaD2 just wondering if there’s something I’m missing. You mentioned the strand dmg would be inflated due to surge, but you didn’t mention the same for solar damage. When you pulled out your ghost towards the beginning it showed a solar surge as well so I guess the real number for 4.3 mil still hunt hunter would actually be 3.2 mil if we remove the solar surge. Just wondering if there was a reason why you didn’t also mention an inflated number for solar like you did with strand or maybe I missed it?
Still Hunt's performance almost doubling, going from 2.19m to 4.3m on Hunter is wild. Even if we take off the Nighthawk shot for parity (600k) it would still be 3.7m, about a 70% increase.
@@oneshot1kill158 No I mean I literally took the Nighthawk Golden Gun super's damage off the damage total. The Warlock test only used the gun for damage while the Hunter test started with a damaging super.
@@RequiemL34 even during contest mode people had to throttle their DPS to not enter final stand too early. the real DPS check was surviving during DPS phase, not actually doing the damage
For the Ager's scepter, it may be even better to run it on a prismatic subclass, since it can benefit from both Facet of command (reload on freeze) and facet of ruin (more shatter damage). That should allow you to fire off significantly more without even depending on Cenotaph, all while doing more shatter damage on top of that.
the funny part about this is that prismatic warlocks can get apotheosis and star eaters on their class item alone so theres even more damage potential there
@@lamp6381have you seen prismatic hunter? Every melee gives healing, resto + recup on dodge, stupid amounts of damage resistance from amplified, 100 resil and facet of resistance, all without designated exotic. If you're dying on prismatic hunter youre doing something wrong
No offense but the div is such a bad way to test this because with the cataclysmic you hit for 20k like 5 times when you should be hitting for 100k+ on the body shot, not to mention it also keeps breaking, maybe just go for the crit
From the damage tests we can agree that the heavy LFRs especially precision frames need their damage buffed. Because in the current sandbox, whisper of the worm is a better LFR than the actual ones and with introduction of Euphony and Still Hunt makes them even more obsolete.
@@somebodythatididntusetoknow No I meant WotW deals better sustained damage compared to the LFRs which is the one thing they should excel in. You could use cataclysmic on Oryx for example but WotW give better result for much less effort.

6:40 just wanna put out a friendly reminder, Kinetic weapons (unless it's only when Overcharged is a modifier) gain a damage buff equal to that of a Surge if your Subclass (maybe linked to Super now?) matches that of the active Surge(s).
MAN I knew Still Hunt cooked, but i didnt know it cooked THAT HARD ALONE, thats absolutely NUTS 😂😂 I DEFINITELY know what character and class ill be bringing to The Witness's door if I'm able to find a group 😅😅
Thanks for the comparison between the two, quite insightful to see side by side. While Still Hunt is undoubtedly the best DPS especially on Celestial Nighthawk, I felt it was mildly unfair in the DPS comparison since with Still Hunt you were aiming at his face which is much easier to hit crits than a Divinity Bubble being covered by his stomach when you were using the Euphony. With the amount of missed crits on Euphony I'd say you would be up about 200-250k bringing it slightly closer albeit it marginally closer to Still Hunt.
Hey Llama would you be willing to test out an optimal rotation with star eaters nova bomb (facet of courage/weaken) + facet of command edge transit? Idk if it will beat out still hunt but timing facet of command freezes/suppresses correctly you can empty your heavy reserves without reloading . I hit a nova bomb for 815k in a quick test on the ogre which out damages a nighthawk so I’m interested to see.
@@LlamaD2yeah I figured to include the 15% weaken in my test as it’s something you will pretty much always get in that rotation from either your vortex nade or the prismatic nade. Usually use my vortex before damage to throw out a bleak watcher for constant freezes though.
I think Euphony will shine beautifully with Needlestorm and the Apotheosis/Star-Eater class item combo. Use the higher damage super, then blast with Euphony while spamming Threadling grenades for 10 seconds.
crazy combo, only got even better with pris warlock with the new class items, this on top of the apoth and star eater combo with the class would absolutely cook
7:07 so since the final shape launched Bungie has had a relatively dependable game pattern of having kinetic surge in all activities that feature activity surges but don’t feature darkness surges. The modifier will say something like “if your equipped super matches one of the elemental surges your kinetic weapons will do increased damage.” EDIT: so I’m actually not 100% sure this modifier released with final shape, I just don’t remember it not being in the final shape if that makes sense
It’s better to put on one solar auto loading then switch to a reconstruction rocket with explosive light so once you shoot the golden gun switch to rocket dump the 2 and by the time u go back it’s fully loaded it’s more optimal without extra reloads
6:55 Isn't there something about using a subclass matching the surge to overcharge your kinetic weapons giving it the same bonus as a surge? Or is this only on strikes/gms? Cause I'm pretty sure this exists somewhere
Hey Llama, I cooked up a dps rotation for warlock using a primary, Still Hunt, Apex Predator with recon/bns, and Rain of fire boots: Use goldy, 3 regular snipes, primary bullet, 2 rockets, icarus, rocket, 3 snipes, repeat
Something to keep in mind for Euphony is you can make builds that exponentially speed up the stacking to x25, AND for multiple Euphony users you'll all stack at the same rate to x25 including if even one of you makes a dedicated build (osmio/apotheosis + star eater warlock using Strand super and threadling grenade will get to x25 in less than 5 seconds)
It's worth noting that testing Microcosm during surges is entirely plausible as kinetic damage is overcharged when your subclass/super element matches one of the surge elements. That's why kinetic surges for activities don't exist. The overcharge benefit is meant to be the same as the surge benefit.

arbalest is benefitting from the surges too i believe because kinetic weapons get surged when your super matches the surges, which it did in your case. the same would then go for macrocosm
I like to use still hunt/ apex (recon/explosive light) 2 solar surge, 1 solar holster That way when im left with 5 in the mag after still hunt super, I can swap apex and shoot 2 rockets, swap back to still hunt and be ready to fire 6 to stack caydes again. 1phasing pretty much everything lol Makes still hunt feel kind of like izinagi, but not exactly Especially good since after reloading still hunt you have that awkward hang time of around 2-3 sec before you can shoot again. But basically 1) hold reload to activate caydes 2) shuriken for radiant 3)super and shoot 4) shoot caydes we prepped before +5 shots 5) swap to rocket and shoot 2x 6) swap back to still hunt, shoot 1x 7) hold reload to pop caydes 8) repeat 4-8 using shurikens and trancendance to extend radiant. Im not saying its easy, but im seeing 6m+ a phase on warpriest I'd love to see someone better than me pull it off to full potential
@@fleefie glad to hear I was on the right path. I was using marksman dodge to begin with as a safety buffer incase I missed shots or messed up the order Switched now to radiant dodge as confidence increased.
Would love you see you test the new warlock super w/ a demo BnS rocket (the nades from the super remote the rocket) I got some INSANE damage with that combo on Greg earlier - side note: ember of ashes improved the damage by a lot

Wanna know something that a friend and I tested that's actually sad? Base T-Crash does less damage than just using Still Hunt. Edit: To clarify, Titans get more damage from using Still Hunt with 3 Solar surges than T-Crash.
Base t crash does less damage than a synthoceps thunderclap. The damage easily gets exceeded by hunter melees. It crazy bad. Also the gun is busted. Titans are not doing well
Why did you aim for the head with still hunt but everything else was super inconsistent shots on the div bubble? Not saying it would have warped the order of the results but it would have made the others perform a lot better than what you showed here
When over changed weapons modifier is active, (master raids and GM's), when your subclass matches a surge, kinetic weapons also get the 25% over charge buff.
Also I'm curious how much damage you'll do with song of flame and the still hunt or Microchosm since it causes both solar and kinetic weapons to apply scorch.
I just want to point out that you were shooting his actual crit during the 3mil still hunt rotation and that does a little more damage than shooting the div bubble
Pls explain why you’re using a div but shooting him in the face at the end? Does it have to do with precision multiplier? Is divs debuf still active when shooting in the face? And why weren’t you doing it with euphony too? So many questions lmao
llama, is the kinetic weapon damage boost earned from matching your subclass to the current surge modifier not working with microcosm? Seems like microcosm wouldn’t shift in viability compared to the pack on weeks where the meta subclasses match the surge.
Correction: Kinetic Surges exist in activities. Kinetic weapons do increased damage when your super element matches an active surge. If there is a solar surge and you put on Song of Flame, microcosm would benefit from the surge damage.
Llama Also note when u rally u get full Cades Retri so u should be able to pop Golden Gun + the second Still hunt Golden before going into the Sniper rotation
The Still Hunt rotation could be a little quicker DPS if you empty out the mag before activating Cayde’s Retribution. That lets you get more damage in before Retribution refills the magazine
I think Ager's Sceptre could have done a little more damage with the Whisper of Fissures fragment (increased size and damage of Stasis shatters), but it probably still wouldn't be enough to contend with the other weapons. Nice video dude :)
You could have built the Still Hunt super before going in dps since thats what most people do going in dps. That would increase the total damage by A LOT
i have hit 10 mil damage consistently every time we've ran the raid on the witness with hunter, and every other class is half that damage OR LESS. this proves that they need to nerf it or else no other class will exist in another contest mode raid
I have a question about the divinity bubble, if you hit the bosses crit spot while there's a divinity bubble doesn't that do more damage then just shooting the divinity bubble? Edit: looking at the comments saying about him just aiming at the head with only still hunt and not the other weapons this makes this damage test a bad test lol.

Unless something changed, surges apply to kinetic weapons if you're using a subclass (super) which matches the surge. Curious to see if it affects microcosm though, as it's the only kinetic heavy in the game.
with your merciless test, wasn't div useless? if a weapon is incapable of hitting crits, div adds almost nothing to dmg, and just doing cenotaph would be about as strong
Is there a reason you stil use wipe screen numbers instead of counting the pixels on the health bar? We've known for a long time that wipe screen numbers are inaccurate.
As a Titan main, ofc Still Hunt on Hunter is pretty overtuned and they prolly gonna nerf the synergy with Celest. But Titans are still pretty strong. The new Ult is insane dmg compared to the other options. And for Solo Content or closerange DPS Titans are still pretty much on top.
Still Hunt on Hunter is undefeated when appropriate. Only Izanagis Burden could compete before the nerf. I love it. Just simple. No serious rotation necessary.
The downfall of LFR's like cataclysmic is so depressing. I know they were meta for awhile but they don't deserve to be as bad as they are now, not by a longshot.
This was an ok dmg test. It's easy to test numbers for still hunt Hunter (which if you're looking for ease of use, go with that) but optimal euphony lock (with or without strand i.e. running prismatic with apotheosis and star eaters and facet of command post nerf) will out dmg Still Hunt. Like I said, ease of use then play Hunter, but it's not beating optimized Euphony Lock, even if u optimize still hunt dps with bns rocket and dodge reload. Yes, I've done the testing.
Also, I need to add that just using apotheosis star eaters and facet of command is not the furthest u can optimize the dps, it's just the base of what you would use. I also added in a bns rocket (apex with recon bns) and did rotations with that. This is also including Facet of Courage and Nova Bomb w/Expanding Abyss to start your dps rotation.
your still hunt rotation can be much better with a solar holster mod and using a reconstruction rocket (apex predator) to fire 2 rockets while it auto reloads still hunt instead of manually doing it
Ima say this real quietly so Bungle doesn’t hear this. Is Still Hunt still getting the escalating damage buff from GG and the one shot NH buff? That would explain your Still Hunt shots spiking.
You actually are losing damage standing in the well too, which is crazy. Well buff is smaller and overrides the radiant bonus, so you are losing about 10% damage
Needle Storm Apotheosis Euphony - 2.175 mil without surges I believe that the solar damage surge may be on, so the Still hunt Celestial spam is ~3.2 mil
