Cliff I haven’t been able to get though this video yet but I just want to say this has been going on from before Tom even started going viral. He’s had diss tracks against him from the jump. I’m not naming names but I think most of hangover gang know who they are. I guess upchurch is a little bigger than most but only about 40% of reactors had a clue whom Tom was talking about in god mode and all the diss tracks seem to come in waves. What? The Brave 1 & 2 weren't political albums! 😂 Brave 1 only had 3/19 (14 digital) songs that were political: New World Order, In God We Trust, and Free World. Brave 2 only 3/14 were politcal: Your America, Freedom of Speech and Race War. One could include Black and White bc of Dax verse and American Flags as political, but imo they're not.

I get that people are getting tired of the political stuff from Tom. However, he NEVER raps about anything he doesnt believe in and he is REALLY REALLY REALLY good at reading a room and lets his lovers AND haters dictate where that goes. He's said it before, "algorithms triggered by exploiting your weakness" Thats just marketing genius. I like his political stuff but LOVE the other sides of Tom that doesnt always get made into a video and doesnt get heard unless you buy his album. Even when he puts out a video that isn't political, people hate. It is what is. Every reaction channel I've seen commenting on him" bragging" about being the biggest or the best they ALWAYS say "If you dont believe it about yourself no one else will". Others have done it, and yet Tom is the only one that gets hate for it. Maybe its because he's independent? Which is what he's referring to in any song he's referencing it in. Including God Mode. He tells you "check the neilson scan numbers". And unless they've tried to srew him, AGAIN, and changed the numbers AGAIN, he was the biggest independent when I checked. When I first heard God Mode I thought maybe he did open a can of worms, but personally when I took a deeper look at the meaning of the Mac stuff I thought, again personally, my own opinion, he defeated himself by admiting he carried it like corpse even though for for what they were, Tom won. Tom never claimed to be a battle rapper, even said he had never done it before in an interview. At the time he admitted it was fun. And my personal opinion, doing the personal diss tracks on Mac took him back to a dark place he fought like hell to pull himself out of and it weighs on him heavily. Why? Because at his very soul he knows that isnt who fought to become. ANYONE who has seen interviews of him talking about his struggles with mental health SHOULD know how hard he fought and how deep the soul searching was for him to find himself. Tom's first love is rock, he even tells you so in 'Ashes' when he says ,"Its rock and roll to me". He also loves rap. You cant put Tom in a box. He has done different 'genres' if you want to call it that. People who know, know. Its just Tom being Tom. People are entitled to their opinions and if 10:49 you're not a fan of his music that's fine. Like he says "opinions are like buttholes, everyone's got one". Which is something I've heard all my life, and all of the above is mine. No hate, just love and respect for anyone who disagrees.

Yo Cliff, just to throw it out there, Mac deciding to diss Tom, or finally do a response, was much more than Tom bringing him up on God Mode. For the last 5yrs Tom has repeatedly used ruining Mac's career and causing his divorce, as the reason he won't respond to other disses, like Upchurch's. Here's the thing, he didn't ruin his career at all, Mac simply walked away from youtube, he started a record label, has his own weekly radio show in KC, is on tour now with Twisty from D-12, and still does the occasional rap battle. Oh yeah, and he never got divorced, he's married to the same women he always was. I'm just throwin' that in, because I was in the same mindset as you til I learned all that, and I was like, well, sounds like Mac might have been justified bringing this old beef back up. ✌💚

There is no question Tom MacDonald is one of the most hated rappers. The comment section here proves it. Every other day there is a new diss, and if he responds to one, the sharks will feast more. Tom dropped "Best Rapper Ever" 12/18/20, which he announced on 12/14/20 he had a new video coming out Friday. Tom did beat Eminems whole album on the charts. He even showed it in shorts, which is still there, im sure.Tom has never dissed Eminem and has actually done the opposite. Now Adam Calhoun has said things bc he doesn't like Eminem he likes 50 CENT. The disses started when "upchurch" dissed him out the blue just before his album dropped (his numbers were way low) when surprise Hangovergang and Creeksquad were really confused as everyone thought they were friends which he said he never was when theres videos of Upchurch who has past videos talking about them being friends. Upchurch had like 3 ppl on Creeksquad team almost immediately go after Tom. We know Crypt wrote Mac Lethal diss 5 yrs ago, but listen to Upchurch "why boys' then listen to Mac Lethal lastest diss, he uses the same cadence, and some of the same lyrics as Upchurch did. Easy solution is that Nova responds to Mac Lethal. He came at her, so only fair Nova shoots back. If as people say Nova writes Tom's lyrics she sure will have some responses for Mac L. It was not a good look for him to go after Nova. Felt very wrong to me.

I still buy the hard copy, physical copies of certain artists, even though I don't have a CD player LOL. LOL. I have a CD /dvd burner that I could put on to my computer, but I also have youtube music, Spotify so that's how I listen to it in my car. I am still sort of a collector, but I only pay for certain artist that I really love, and Eminem is definitely on that list. I have duplicate copies even, in the wrapping. Sometimes I find them at Walmart or Target, the older ones, on sale. Sale dirt cheap, so I'll grab a Kendrick album, a Marshall album, a Game album, and a couple of others.

What percentage of Tom's songs are "political"? Tom addresses issues that are affecting humanity but he also raps his ass off. You should list all of Tom's songs and see how many are political.

I never took the line about Mac as a diss. Most of us took it as Tom was explaining to Upchurch and everyone else explaining what that did to him and how bad it feels to him still. Tom doesnt have to time to write songs, do the beats, the videos the marketing videos, the merch etc to every diss rapper that comes after him. Hes not trying to be that kind of person. Big respect for putting this video out and discussing. Biggest thing people have missed is that Tom’s fan base, the HOGs, as a whole didn’t like how hard he went at Mr. pancakes and Tom got backlash from his own fan base for ending Mac Lethal. Tom respected his fans and went away from diss tracks and made superior tracks like No Response and Don’t Look Down. God Mode is just the next in that series. I don’t think Tom cares about Upchurch and other disses because HOG doesn’t care. I think it is also disappointing that so few reactors have had any issue or pointed out the attacks on HOG, especially the blatantly racist stuff. If you don’t stand against racism, you are enabling it. Tom is no different than any other artist trying to make songs meaningful to himself and his fans. It is a fine line to walk.

No, absolutely not. I agree with a lot of it, but not everything. I like his political songs for an initial listen and some reactions. His non political songs are the ones I can listen to over and over. The ones that are motivating and light a fire under my ass to do something. That’s what I like from Tom. Plus he seems like a lot of my friends growing up. So I relate to him in that way. This is just my opinion. People can like (or dislike) whoever they choose. Mac made fun of Tom's fans, which I am one of, and tried putting them in a big box. The 50 year old soccer mom who doesn't like rap. I like rap, and loads of other music. He didn't invent political music, but what he did do is broaden the range of people with messages more people can relate to. Not only political stuff, but plain regular people stuff. He is a master of playing the game, don't get me wrong, but not everyone lives the drug, gangster, pimp and hoe stuff. It was cool to dance too, and sing along especially as a young person, but a lot of people grow up and don't always vibe with the lyrical content even if it has a fire beat. People will like what they like, the first time I seen Tom on a video thumbnail years ago I thought NOPE not for me. I've grown to respect most his messages. If you don't vibe with him, and the message misses you, that's cool. Respect.

Tom is definitely a genius. He knew Eminem Stans would flip out by saying Dear Slim was 'Produced' by Eminem, which wasn't a lie. There would be no Tom without Eminem as he explained in the song. Em gave Tom the idea that he could rap even though he wasn't black, so Em did, in fact, 'produce' the Tom we love today. It was a play on words and stans fell for his marketing genius - even you!

None of Tom's albums are all political songs. So where do you get two albums of political songs? I WISH he would make some albums of political songs. Even if just a greatest political hits album.

I disagree. Tom didn't really diss Mac Lethal in God Mode. He was just explaining to those who weren't there to hear why he refuses to respond to individual diss tracks anymore. A lot of his newer fans didn't know why Tom wasn't responding to Upchurch. I do admit that if Tom and Mac made up behind the scenes like they implied, that perhaps Tom should have run his lyrics by Mac so he wasn't blindsided by them. But I still don't consider his lyrics as a diss. Tom shouldn't respond to Mac Lethal because if he responds to Mac, he now has to respond to everyone who threw him a diss. If Tom does that he will waste his time and energy putting out diss tracks when he could be putting out his usual music that has meaning. That is what his fans want. Plus if this many hip hop artists feel so threatened by Tom that they have to take turns dissing him, then that just proves that Tom is doing exactly what he was meant to do. He is stirring up the mainstream music industry. And as a bonus he is also starting to make waves on the independent side too. They all wish they could do what Tom has done.
