one thing about fast lane is most ride stations are 2-3 stories in the air so when u go on say 10 rides in 2 hours it's like climbing stairs up a 20-30 story building, when u wait in like your not doing that nearly as much, deff a leg workout
Me and my little restaurant crew lives CT behind this Sunday to drive almost 600 miles to Cedar point for 2 nights. So, I have watched a lot of your videos in the past few days. I have found a lot of good information and a general good fell about the park and the way it operates These videos going to make are trip more pleasant and enjoyable. So, thank you so much for taking the time to make them and for sharing it. Thumbs up
For the summer, it really just depends on (a) if there's a large promo/ school/ work group that's coming from Cleveland or Columbus like they do sometimes scattered throughout the summer weekdays, and (b) what do you want from the park for the day? Do you want to marathon the top 4? Or, are you looking for more of a full amusement park experience which includes spending time at the water park and riding a diversity of rides and roller coasters, going to shows, and eating twice on the meal plan? It all depends on the individual / couple / group and their unique situation and expectations. On the summertime weekdays, it's pretty much a slam dunk that you'll get to ride and reride everything with Fast Lane, and a "maybe" without Fast Lane, depending on factors beyond your control. For Halloweekends, on Thursdays you absolutely don't need fast lane unless you already have purchased all season fast lane. Major enthusiast-positive day.
I honestly miss the days of showing up to the park early entry 9am, marissa and I would both have meal plans so we'd eat 4 times per day on the meal plan and the healthiest food available (no burgers/pizza/fries/tenders), typically we'd do chickie's, hugo's, miss keat's, backbeatque -- this was before farmhouse existed-- we'd both have fast lane plus and marathon steve/maverick and ride everything else at least once generally, we'd also spend a couple hours at the waterpark most summer days, make out at the lazy river, maybe leave the park for an hour or so of sand volleyball, wash off in lake erie then clean up back at the waterpark, go back to marathoning coasters, eat some more, watch a show or two, more coasters, finish the night at around closing time on the great ferris wheel, take the skyride back to the front of the park, get back to the hotel and enjoy each other's quality company late at night, have a drink or so and make love, shower, spoon together at night in the hotel bedroom and then wake up and do it all over again the next day... the life.
Erica here-thanks Trent for limiting my close-up I always look like a serial killer at CP 🤦♀️😭😭😭 it was awesome for me and Sophia to get to meet you bro-you are the absolute best RU-vidr for CP!! Love the super useful content! Keep being great man
We stumbled across your channel after planning a trip to Cedar Point for late July. We love your videos! Lots of great tips. We purchased fast lane plus for our second day at the park which would be on a Sunday so we're really looking forward to seeing how it works for you on the weekend. Your very entertaining as well and your daughter is absolutely adorable! Keep up the good work!
Great video! I am heading there for one day on Thursday July 14th. I am going to Kings island for two days prior and Carowinds in early July so I bought a season pass. I will be able to get the fast pass for like $106 so I will probably get it just to be safe. Amazing video and I love your content
I posted this same thing on another video of yours, but here is my personal philosophy on fast lane passes. No matter the day, I would rather have a fast pass and not need it, than to need a fast pass and not have it. So any future visits I make to the park no matter the day, I’m getting fast pass regardless. Cheers 🍻
Thanks for giving us such great content and loads of good tips. I really appreciated the veggie food reviews. I think we will get fast lane plus one of our days at CP this August to try and maximise our time. I hope they reopen the museum; I’d love to know more about the history of the park.
I've never been to CP but I use these systems more often than not so I can just enjoy the day. When you don't have a Fast Lane it takes strategy to get everything in and you end up feeling rushed. With Fast Lane you can just ride whatever whenever and just stroll around. If you want to marathon a ride you can. It just makes the park experience so much better. Of course I've been to parks on absolutely dead days where it's like that anyways but those days are pretty rare.
Depends on the day or what your goal is for the day! We spent 4 weekdays at CP in June 2021. While it wasn't incredibly busy, we still had to wait 30-45 minutes for most rides. We bought FLP for our last day so we could get on as many rides as possible since we didn't know when we'd be back. We were able to ride every ride multiple times, including SV 9 times in one day!! So it was well worth it to us!
I was there on the same Tuesday as you and a lot of the rides were walk on. It might be worth the fast pass on another weekday. That Tuesday was in the mid 90s
Let’s goooo I’m going to Cp again Monday for 4th of July but on June 24 I was there for 6 hours and rode steel veangence back to back millenium 3 or 4 times and other stuff
My family and I went to Cedar Point on Friday and the longest we waited for any of the rollar coaster was 30 minutes tops it was crazy I Basically rode everything, the top wait times were the train which was a bit longer and that mine train coaster. My dad and I got on gatekeeper at like 10:30 am with a 5 minute wait and front row seats. The May flies were insane though at night it was like a scene from a apocalypse movie.
as a all season fast lane holder, my good deed on a busy day is to let the last people know waiting in fast lane line at front of park that 100 feet away u can get it at the store, and there look goes from confused to smile in point 5 seconds kas they just saved half hour wait to get the pass
Not sure if anyone said this but I recommend moisture wicking shirts! I have one from vineyard vines that cost an arm and a leg but worth the comfort. In the process of looking for cheaper brands with moisture wicking.
Well, I should've waited and watched the whole video to respond. If you love the coaster and want to marathon it, yeah, it is worth it, I think worth it, and I stay at breakers all the time. You can check the room out lol 😆
I'm planning to go to Cedar Point early/mid next week on the 29th and maybe 30th with the goal of riding every adult coaster. Would you say I'd have a better chance of riding all of those with a one day visit with fast lane or a two day stay without? Either way I'll be spending at least one night at a cottage in the park so I think I could get early entrance at least one morning. Thanks for the helpful informative videos!
Honestly, at that time of year, you might be able to do it without fast lane and without two days. Two days is definitely the better bet imo. But the lines in this inbetween time are fantastic. I have a video coming out soon where I did 8 rides in 2 hours at the end of the night on a SATURDAY recently.
So, I would say do 2 days just in case, but don’t get the fast lane. I think, overall, that would save you money also. Just a note though, this time of year does not have any entertainment or special events. Don’t want you to be disenchanted if you were looking for anything like that.
Another informative video, nice job 👍🏽 I am definitely a fan of the fastpass system no matter what park I'm at. As far as Cedar Point and the Cedar Fair parks I have the FastPass Plus season long add-on for our passes, so no matter what Cedar Fair Park we go to we get a FastPass Plus every time we visit. It's like another commenter mentioned, I'd rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it! Plus you just get to relax way more, you can do other things more like show etc...I'm doing way more now at Cedar Point & Kings Island then I ever have and it's only because of having a FastPass Plus every trip. I'm relaxing at the water park, having drinks at the swim up bar then go on a water slide, relax in the lazy river, then run back in the park and grab a few rides on Maverick, get a slice of pizza, AND check out your fav lusty Lil's😂 You can do all that in an like 2 hrs now! TEAM FastPassPlus forever 💯 #RideOn🎢 #LetsGo
20 minutes for millie and 30 for steve solo (with no phone, because millie has no cubbies and steve well you put your phone in the mini locker) is not worth it. Either I have my romantic partner (girlfriend) with me, or i'm waiting for the line to abate.
Unfortunately, I’m not that familiar with Carowinds or it’s crowd levels. Z Based on what I did see at the beginning of the year, I think you could probably hit every coaster without a fast lane. But it’s not gonna hurt to get one (except for hurting your wallet), so do whatever works best for you! I doubt I would get one.
I was there on Thursday last week and waited for literally nothing. That was my only time there though so I don’t know if that’s the norm for a weekday.
