Both white and brown rice can contain arsenic. It will be throughout the plant because it gets absorbed from soil and there’s more in the husk than the grain which is why brown rice has more. However it’s the dose that makes the poison and it takes time to accumulate in the body at harmful levels. I don’t see reason to be concerned unless you’re eating rice everyday. Brown rice is undoubtedly the healthier choice still because of its nutrient profile and lower GI score. Edit: If you do eat rice everyday make sure it was grown in a country with lower arsenic content in their soil.
Yes, people are drinking pints of it when you say that it's "not bad for you." 😅 5:21 The dose is always the issue. We need to find balance everywhere, but if something is unhealthy at a low dose, then we can say that it is slightly less healthy than something that is unhealthy at a high dose. Does this make sense? We can even find some health benefits for some types of venom at a low enough dose. But you don't go telling people that it's healthy because you don't want the population to abuse it on a large scale.
Changing my diet saved me from debilitating back pain, nerve pain, joint pain, muscle pain, digestive issues, raised blood pressure, 20kg over weight. It took around 8 months for all these problems to resolve. Since 2020 I've been completely pain free and never felt and looked healthier. I'm only eating fatty meats, seafood, eggs and dairy. Prior to that I was eating the mainstream version of a healthy diet (lots of veggies, fruit, whole grains, low fat, eating the rainbow etc) for decades and watching my health slowly decline. I learnt lots watching videos by Dr Ken Berry, Dr Shawn Baker, Dr Gary Fettke, Dr Benjamin Bikman, Dr. Malcolm Kendrick, Dr Anthony Chaffee, Dr Paul Mason etc. And these authors videos Diana Rodgers, Robb Wolf, Lierre Keith. I read this peer-reviewed scientific article, that shows how 2,029 people had amazing results on the diet I'm on it's called "Behavioral Characteristics and Self-Reported Health Status among 2029 Adults Consuming a Carnivore diet".
Ken Berry and Shawn Baker 🤦 good luck. Isn’t it funny how every one of you guys apparently ate fruit, veg and whole grains before you went carnivore. Unfortunately your little story doesn’t trump all the actual scientific data from around the globe coming to the same scientific consensus that fruit, veg, beans and whole grains are healthy and eaten by all the longest living people 🥦🥦🥦
Free range isn't much better than caged, the chickens are not allowed outside for all of the daylight hours its still quite limited in the uk. He's been tricked, but I think his point is that the chickens should be given a much better quality of life and we should eat animals and crops that have been given a good quality of life too. I dont like joe but I've met alot of drs who don't know shit about fuck, especially in the NHS. I literally saw a dr about my anti depressants when I was suicidal and he told me mental illness isn't real.
I remember the hype about oil/fats in the 90's - its when Kentucky Fried Chicken changed its name to just KFC in my country. Ive also recently learnt that in Australia and the US, anyone can call themselves a nutritionist irrespective of education level! I know to only listen to dieticians now.. i love your vids
14:58 really like the vids so far but come on! As a professional you should know the information, much information about the arsenic content of rice - washing does drastically reduce it.
