Fletcher was our neighbor for about 15 years in Hermosa Beach. The gray house in the background at the :38 second mark was ours. When he moved in, the neighborhood was worried about the noise he'd bring. He didn't. He had one loud party and nixed anymore, mostly because one of his guests missed a curve at the end of the street and ended up in the driveway of a house in Redondo. He was actually Uncle Fletcher to the neighborhood kids. They had to play in a narrow street and, since he had days off, he'd sit on the porch you see there and watch over them. (BTW, he and his father refurbished that house and built that deck together.) We'd often walk our dogs to the dog park together. Great guy!
Dude, Fletcher is my kinda guy. He's got a heart bigger than his body and I believe he's A genuine kind hearted person. Love you Fletcher! Love You "PENNYWISE!!!! 🤘🤘🤘
@@ericcurrier4339 His heart is bigger than you can imagine! He did something in the neighborhood that I'm not a liberty to share, but he filled in for a family that had abandoned a family member.
Saw Pennywise in Mesa, AZ back in ‘93 or ‘94 and he was so drunk he kept tripping over all of the cords on stage and unplugging sound and lights. They said they’d be back for a free show as an apology and never came back for it. Guy ruined the show by himself. Love Pennywise but Fletcher is an embarrassment. Hopefully he is better now.
9 lives. The list is long for the individuals and families that covered (I.e. falsified information) so that he didn't end up being arrested. The PW community covers for one another. Unfortunately, a life was apparently lost in the wake of, what appears to be, a whole lot of punk rock fun. The unsolved 'samurai sword' incident from a break in. Ask around.
This is the best channel I’ve found in ages. The low quality video production just adds to it, nothing worse than Vox-tier videos talking about punk. Keep it up bro
@@marc3d establishment media aimed at millennials and gen-x. It was a random example I pulled out of my ass, VICE would be a better example. You get the idea, Tome is very DIY which fits in with the subject matter he covers. Whereas paying some LA trust fund kids to talk about punk doesn’t.
I was at the show Pennywise played the same night of the Love Lines incident(I seem to recall that Fletcher sprayed the Love Lines studio with vomit) at the Shrine Auditorium with Offspring. My memory is a bit hazy though, so anyone who was else was there can correct me if I'm wrong. Fletcher was totally hammered, a dude almost died from diving into the crowd from the upper level, it was pure chaos.
I met Fletcher years ago after a Pennywise show while he was giving sobriety a try. He was the most chill dude. Very friendly and really easy to talk to. Might be the type of guy whose personality does a complete 180 when he's drunk.
Cheers from Orange County California,, depends on,, the who, so you were obviously chill,, I've met him a few times, always great.. I'm also not young.. 50, they played the Ink N Iron festival in Long Beach CA, when I was production assistant.. Been laughing at the footage
I watched Fletcher beat the dog shit out of some kid at Mohawk in Austin. OFF! was onstage playing "Jeffrey Lee Peirce" and some kid was talking shit about the song. Keith didn't like that so much, but I think Fletcher was angrier. He jumps off stage headed right for him and put him to sleep.
Fletchers a good dude. He does get a little rambunctious when you add booze and you’re never sure if you’re going to jail but it’s memorable for sure. All n all he’s a nice guy.
Holy shit this makes me cringe, thinking about my decades of drinking & constantly displaying similar behavior. I made the biggest fool of myself, but even worse, I made a fool of my friends & family for having me around their people, knowing that I'd likely act this way. I used to feel so terrible hearing the stories or hearing about the horrible shit I had said to people, but it was never enough to make me quit. I never knew this about Fletcher, but I don't really know him, just Pennywise music. Hopefully he's changed & his people don't have to make excuses for him anymore.
At San Diego Warped 97' Pennywise's he was so drunk. He kept shit talking all the ska bands after every song. Jim had to say sorry a few times cause he was messing up songs. I thought he'd have been at an AA meeting the next day cause he embarrassed himself in front of a large crowd but no. They even had the nerve to cover Minor Threat's song "Minor Threat". I always passed on seeing them again. Tome, you put together a good video regardless of the band. I enjoy your content.
I love fletcher but that shit gets old after a while, you're not 18 anymore big man, nothing cool in being in your fifties and trying to impress teenagers by doing stupid shit like that, I guess i'm not punk anymore.
Stole the car from the Potters' house (in Manhattan Beach) on a regular basis. Rolled a VW in Valley Park and then runs to his girlfriends house and hides inside. The girls' parents have to lie when the police show up and say "He's been here all night".
YOu missed the part where he went on the radio show loveline and held them hostage and they had to call the police on him -- there's security camera footage from the show online.
